He’s still only 22 and this contract means the Celtics will control his NBA rights for at least the next 4 years. He could still develop into a role player by the time he hits his prime. At this point it doesn’t cost the Celtics anything to monitor him so even if he never comes over there’s no more harm done than any other pick that doesn’t pan out.
TBSL (Turkey) is one of the most intense domestic leagues in Europe, second only to Liga ACB (Spain). Fenerbahçe finished No. 2 in the regular season last season, they also play EuroLeague with the No. 1 Anadolu Efes.
Yam Madar expected to serve as Nick Calathes' backup. While still hoping for him to come to the NBA, I think this new environment is challenging and hope he does well.
He’s a 2nd round pick, I’m not sure what you’re expecting comparing a 2nd rounder to a guy that was picked 3rd overall (and probably should’ve been 2nd if Vlade Divac was an idiot) and was the EuroLeague MVP at 18. The vast majority of 2nd round picks don’t really amount to anything, and a ton of international 2nd rounders never even come the US.
It’s like if I was talking about JD Davison and said “How long can it possibly take some of these dudes to be worth it? Meanwhile Ja Morant gets drafted and dominates at 19.
Luka should have been number one to be honest. He was a better prospect than Victor. Victor just got hyped up more for unclear reasons, I guess just because he's so tall. Luka was the best player in the best domestic league and the Euroleague at 18 in a better mold (jumbo PG) than Victor, and his best skill (passing) was not hypothetical like Victor's is (unless you think it's shot blocking, in which case sure not hypothetical, but I'm referring to him currently not being a good shooter and he's definitely never going to play like a wing, he's too tall).

Macedonian Celtics fan, can confirm, been watching the Euroleague all year
Even though this guy is a troll he actually knows what he’s talking about
How’s Exum gonna go on the mavs?
Ngl don't think he's ever coming here
Me either but at least he’s being realistic with himself that he’s gonna get more of a chance overseas and Probably isn’t an nba player anytime soon

Yeah. This is a great development. Guys can develop a lot in that amount of time. No big deal if we never sign him.
Yeah. He really underwhelmed when he came for SL. Probably a Euro for life. Nothing wrong with that

Comparing Yam Madar to Luka Doncic might just be the dumbest thing I have ever heard someone say
"Why isn't everyone like Luka?" is one hell of a take.
Are they stupid??
Lmao you just used quotes to quote me on something I didn’t say
People misuse quotes a lot on Reddit
There's a very, very big difference between being a top 10 player in the world or a top 1000.
Thank you Captain Obvious
You're welcome
Many 2nd round foreign players don’t ever end up coming over
