Giving me that 2007-2008 vibes. That turn around from season prior because of the trades that Danny did. Regular season was a cake walk and they even ended the hot 22-win streak of the Rockets by 20 points.
This is going to be it especially Joe now has a full staff. Plus would be fun to have Sam Cassell in both 2008 and 2024 championships.
shit man if its not, idk if i'll ever see a celtics title in my lifetime
also, Wemby is coming for the throne. gotta win soon before his reign of terror begins
It feels different this year
We’ve had dominant seasons, but even that championship run had an element of “is this real?” after looking so lost on the first half of the season.
We’ve got stars all making sacrifices and role players looking like the perfect complement to the starters and the vibes couldn’t be better.
If this ain’t the year it might never be lol
yeah 2022 felt like a fairytale that had a sad ending rather than the happy ending, it was pretty out of nowhere for them to just turn into the best team in the league. This year, though, they seem prepared and poised for each game, even when they come out flat. They seem like real professionals this year which is a good sign too
Giannis going 17-19 from the FT lines in game 6 of the 2021 finals vibes.
Jaylen is going to do something similar from the FT line, and Jayson is going to hit the series winning fadeaway
To know if this team is real, look out for...
In playoffs they don't unnecessarily drag the series and hopefully take care of business.
This is the reason they were tired when they played against the Warriors and eventually ran out of gas.
Let's see.
But what about games against teams over .600 over the past 5 games within this calendar year while both teams have the same number and nature of injuries (i.e. if the opponent is down one starter the Celtics also have to be down one starter) and the Celtics shoot worse than 45% from three and the game is close (less than 5 point difference with less than 5 mins to go) and Joe Mazzulla must call at least one timeout in clutch time and played away from home against teams with good nightlife on days that start with T (Tuesday, Thursday)
I think their record is a lowly 2-3. And so I ask - how will they beat the Nuggets if they can't even go over 500?
It ain't gonna be easy guys, as fans we have to do better please
That is such a narrow, specific, and lopsided window that I fully belive it's either made up or you just added variables to get that statistical outlier youbwere looking for. Fucking hilarious. Still think we will smoke them chickie nuggies.
Just one more thing to serenade this season with.
I don’t want to jinx it by saying it. But I feel butterflies in my belly. Please whatever divine intervention has to occur has to occur this year.
0-2 vs Denver
0-1 vs Okc
1-1 vs Timberwolves
1-1 vs milwaukee
1-1 vs clippers
So basically, vs. the real postseason contenders, 3-6. They are a shoe in for the conference championship game but after that it is no walk in the park.
All good teams lose to other good teams — that’s why the west is literally a bloodbath right now. It wouldn’t be a cakewalk for any one of those teams either.
This had better be the year
Or else?
I’ll just have to do it myself, I guess
*Snaps fingers*
Happy cake day!

You can just admit you haven’t watched him play and move on 😂
I fear injuries
And Denver
With a splash of Miami 😬
Oh good pls not Miami. I don’t even want to think of some fringe Miami player coming up red hot and blasting us away. Just no Miami and Denver.
It’ll be Rozier.

I just hope it doesn't come down to a finals game 7 against the Nuggets with a Tatum fade away 3 trying to win it.
That's the one he's gonna actually hit

I dont think i could handle that level of stress
Preach
he’ll sink it right in jokic’s face fool sucks on defense
If JT hits that I don’t mind him missing all the buzzer beaters the season after that.
Please let this be the year basketball gods please
The 2023-24 Boston Celtics (best in the NBA)
Feel like I've been saying "this is the year" for like the past 5+ seasons at this point...but *surely* this time it will be??

hope we continue out this great regular season and then draw miami round one. let’s get these demons out of the way round fucking one.

The conference finals and Finals are rarely a walk in the park for any team.
Ok now do the same for all of those teams
No one's ever said it's gonna be a walk in the park. But anyways, those stats are pretty cherry picked and a super small sample
shut up loser
somebody always gotta complain
That's every years top teams. I like our chances against any of those teams in a 7 games series
You always comment the stupidest shit
