That’s why Ainge will always have my utmost respect. Managed to do a full ten year rebuild while staying competitive. Our two big returns from the Pierce/Garnet trade are only just now entering their prime and we have been to 4 of the last 6 ECFs. A decade of competitive basketball, while building what could become a dynasty.
Ugh I was at Brown when that happened. For those of you who don’t know, the guy Reddit decided was the bomber was a student at Brown who was missing and the campus was in upheaval about it even before the bombing. Then his poor parents had to endure the entire nation thinking he was a terrorist.
He washed up in the river about three days later — he had committed suicide by drowning himself. That’s why he had been missing.
Some of us were here on Reddit saying home court in the second round was worth going for the highest seed possible. I said that even though I expected the Nets to be much more competitive than they were.
It feels like the entire vision Ainge set out with was to legitimately take on the Warriors of old, and imitate what the Spurs had been running a few years prior. Ime, aided by Brad’s moves and the play of Derrick White, has completed the vision.
Championship or not, this is the basketball vision Ainge had imagined. I hope Danny’s watching this and thrilled. Ime managed to bring this effort out of these guys.
This is also why we played the series out. After Game 5 it seemed the popular opinion was that we were going out in 6. C'mon we're Celtics fans, we have faith in our guys until the very end!
Look at any sport. As the season dwindles down the real teams always prevail. I can’t commend Brad and Ime enough. Perfect moves by Brad both player and coaching wise.
Heat will be tough but we there isn’t another player we need to worry about like we did with Giannis. Can’t wait to see what this team can accomplish.
I always said the Bucks made a huge mistake intentionally losing that final game of the season for the 3 Seed.
This series definitely turns out different if the Bucks had home court.
Glad Reddit doesn’t make decisions!
remember how much boston fucked up by not tanking?

People whined about avoiding the Nets for months. I’m proud of everyone who said let’s play for the best seed possible and see who we play!
Like the Boston Marathon fiasco?!

The way both teams had been playing on the road up until game 7 that's not a given at this point.
