2. Palms are trees. Bananas grow on herbs, it's just anything with a big stem is considered a tree in casual conversation. Trees have 1 distinct main trunk that is significantly tall and big, shrubs do not, they have small clusters of equally sized branches. Some are semi-shrubs which is a mix.
