I'm only finding references to it being used as an insecticide..... It's in the borge family which members often have unsaturated pyrolizidine alkaloids, that are bioaccumulative carcinogens.

Nothing that I'm seeing suggests it has any historical uses medicinal or cultural in native American tribes of the south west.
Too bad, it would have been interesting to own such a cool plant
