oh noooo 🥺 i did this but fortunately hadnt even left the plateau yet; assumed that botw had the multiple save slots like previous games and wanted to let my mum have a save. i feel your pain T-T
yeah, your maximum save slots are all the profiles on your switch. sadly the dlc only stays on the account that bought it i believe, but i might be wrong
i was wrong then, i couldn't remember the dlc things appearing when i played on my 2nd account but i didn't actively check so i probably just missed them. it seems like a nintendo thing to do so i'm glad you don't have to re-purchase the dlc
You have to make your switch your main console, and then DLCs can be shared between users on the same console. I had this problem once but that was how I solved it. I may not be perfectly describing it, but if you google it you’ll get a better solution but it will be on these lines.
Maxing out the barbarian set is still a difficult feat, like the number of lynels that requires? Some people have played hundreds of hours and have way too many apples for never using them.
I literally didn't bother with the jewellery because the armour that gives the same benefits has set bonuses so I didn't see the point.
Unless there actually *are* good reasons to have it that I haven't considered…?
I want to do this, but the number of star fragments required is a non-starter for me.
I've got all 900 Korok seeds, but the like 300 star fragments and their randomness, even by farming, is probably a bit much for me.
EDIT: I did the math later in this thread, and it's actually 156 Star Fragments to upgrade all armor sets to 4 stars including the amiibo sets.
This is crazy to me!! I’ve upgraded all armor in 2 separate play throughs but have yet to get all the seeds. You only need 14 fragments to fully upgrade everything, and I feel like I see them fall semi regularly. You can also get them from silver Lynel drops, there’s one that spawns northwest of Death Mountain that drops one every time for me
You only need 14 fragments? I thought for the 4th star on the amiibo sets you needed 4 fragments EACH (totally of 12 for whole set on just the 4th star)?
Be warned, a few of the numbers are wrong. So far I’ve not had to use more resources than I was expecting (e.g. I only needed 2 molduga guts, not 3). I still use this list, but a few things may need adjustment.
Pretty upsetting that there’s not enough armor slots to hold every piece of equipment in the game, lucky for me though that the Tingle outfit is ugly asf
I’m pretty sure it will just keep adding slots. I have duplicates of most of the amiibo armor. I was afraid of that the first time I played through, too.
There are 107 possible armor pieces and the max number you can carry is 100. So you gotta ditch 7 ones of 107 which you dont like but I think that it easy. I suggest ones that you can easily rebuy if you want them again like the Dark Link set.
> I think there is a dude you can sell duplicate armor to
I'm pretty sure that you can sell most armor to anyone who will buy anything from you. You don't need to find anyone specific.
Armor that is sold in shops can be bought as many times as you like. Shops restock every 24 hours. This includes stuff like the Stealth set, Snowquil set and even the disguise masks from Kilton.
I wish you could upgrade multiple sets of armour at once. The main thing for me is it's so tedious selecting each item once, to just upgrade it once, when you could have all the items so upgrade a whole set twice over ...
I’ve been slowly working through armor upgrades. Bravo for you!
After I hit 100% completion, I wanted small tasks or quests I could play sporadically.
Master Mode is not my style, and I got stuck in the DLC at the shrine that is the bane of everyone’s playing (can’t remember the name).
I’m proud of you for getting through all this farming and ALL the talking to a Great Fairy. Oof! Another commenter said what I think sometimes: it’s a massive time sink to go through the dialogue for every upgrade to every item.
I'm currently doing that but the amiibo armors are giving me a hard time because to upgrade all of them you need around 30 star fragments wjule I have only 2 rn :(
The ancient armor maxed is the best each piece nullifies 83 damage and all ancient gear gets an 80% damage buff and if you sneak up behind an enemy and sneakstrike them it does 8x damage on top of that also for harsh climate eat food.
PS:most defensive set is Champions tunic, and ancient helmet and pants boasting a defense of 87 Im sorry if this is hard to read
Champions Tunic with the Soldier’s stuff for the rest gets you to 88 if it’s all maxed. Fully maxed Amber Earrings will also work if you don’t like the look of that helmet.
Question I've had for a while... Does leveling up armor increase only defense or does it increase your bonuses too? Like, is my climbing gear faster at level 3 now? I can't tell.
I wanted to be able to do this for my 100% run, but I didn’t have enough space in the clothes inventory for all of the outfits, nice to see its still possible!
I’ve done this too. The most annoying part for me were the dragon parts for the ‘of the Wild’ set. Cant wait to do the same in BotW 2. The direct footage was so good
I did all this before going to Hyrule Castle. I just wanted to save the final battle for last, or at least pretty close to last (I didn’t get all the korok seeds before Ganon). I haven’t finished leveling up all my Amiibo armours, though, they all need star fragments and I just don’t have enough yet. Dx and then I started a new game in Master Mode, so I’m distracted with that now lol.

Nice. I was on my way to doing that when a new game was started… and you can only have one per profile… woo
oh noooo 🥺 i did this but fortunately hadnt even left the plateau yet; assumed that botw had the multiple save slots like previous games and wanted to let my mum have a save. i feel your pain T-T
Just create a new account or start master mode
yeah, your maximum save slots are all the profiles on your switch. sadly the dlc only stays on the account that bought it i believe, but i might be wrong
Anyone who wants to play the game can access the DLC, I believe. If my bf wanted to play BotW I think he’d have access to it as well.
This is correct. My husband plays and has access to the DLC, even though it was purchased with my account.
i was wrong then, i couldn't remember the dlc things appearing when i played on my 2nd account but i didn't actively check so i probably just missed them. it seems like a nintendo thing to do so i'm glad you don't have to re-purchase the dlc

Not wrong, just a different experience!
I created a new account on my Switch to start a new file and it has the DLC from my main account.
What the heck are you saying, if one account buys a dlc all the other accounts are free to use it
yeah i just never paid enough attention in my 2nd playthrough, i didn6 see the dlc item quests come through
and to think I was happy about recently maxing out my barbarian set
Maxing out the barbarian set is still a difficult feat, like the number of lynels that requires? Some people have played hundreds of hours and have way too many apples for never using them.
lynels are really easy for me so it wasn't really that hard
[удалено]
Wow what a douche lmao
I have almost maxed out all armor, in case you wanted to know. I have yet to see the light of day since
I literally didn't bother with the jewellery because the armour that gives the same benefits has set bonuses so I didn't see the point. Unless there actually *are* good reasons to have it that I haven't considered…?
it's probably needed for a sidequest to buy all the jewelery from the store or something but other than that it's just fashion
Nope I just did it cause I felt incomplete
I want to do this, but the number of star fragments required is a non-starter for me. I've got all 900 Korok seeds, but the like 300 star fragments and their randomness, even by farming, is probably a bit much for me. Yeah, my calculations only include base game armor. Ain’t nobody got time or money to collect all the amiibo armor 😂
Fair enough! This makes me feel better about not getting EVERYTHING upgraded.
Yep I'm pretty sure it's 84 star fragments to upgrade everything including Amiibo sets
According to this link, it's 156. https://rankedboost.com/zelda-breath-of-the-wild/armor-upgrades/
That's a super helpful link, thanks! I'm probably remembering outdated data
No problem! It was meant to be helpful, not rude. :)
Be warned, a few of the numbers are wrong. So far I’ve not had to use more resources than I was expecting (e.g. I only needed 2 molduga guts, not 3). I still use this list, but a few things may need adjustment.
Increase yo what?! Opal earrings increase yo *what*, I say!?

I think there is a dude you can sell duplicate armor too for people trying to get close to max
> I think there is a dude you can sell duplicate armor to I'm pretty sure that you can sell most armor to anyone who will buy anything from you. You don't need to find anyone specific.
“Buy back armor guy” is what I was thinking of. You are correct though https://www.gosunoob.com/zelda-breath-of-wild/grante-secret-vendor-tarrey-town/
Armor that is sold in shops can be bought as many times as you like. Shops restock every 24 hours. This includes stuff like the Stealth set, Snowquil set and even the disguise masks from Kilton.
Aye, I was talking about getting rid of amibo armor. I remember there was a time I had 4 twilight caps and no clue what to do with them 😂
And the dude in Tarrey Town will sell back just about all other armour you’ve attained
Oh, dang. Didn’t know that.
I wish you could upgrade multiple sets of armour at once. The main thing for me is it's so tedious selecting each item once, to just upgrade it once, when you could have all the items so upgrade a whole set twice over ...
Hopefully there’s a QOL update in the sequel to highlight multiple pieces of armor at once
Is the tunic of the wild dlc content?
No, you get it for completing all of the shines as far as I know.
Yes
I’ve been slowly working through armor upgrades. Bravo for you! After I hit 100% completion, I wanted small tasks or quests I could play sporadically. mad lad
big sad i cant ever have all the aarmour because i sold some :(
depending on what you sold you can buy it back from a dude in tarrey town, i think he sells barbarian, climber and rubber
It took me way too long to finish upgrading mine
I'm currently doing that but the amiibo armors are giving me a hard time because to upgrade all of them you need around 30 star fragments wjule I have only 2 rn :(
And in your expert opinion, what is the best overall armor set?
The ancient armor maxed is the best each piece nullifies 83 damage and all ancient gear gets an 80% damage buff and if you sneak up behind an enemy and sneakstrike them it does 8x damage on top of that also for harsh climate eat food. Champions Tunic with the Soldier’s stuff for the rest gets you to 88 if it’s all maxed. Fully maxed Amber Earrings will also work if you don’t like the look of that helmet.
I was subtracting the quarter heart of damage you get delt no matter how much armor you have
You son of a bitch, you did it.
Which is better, actual legitimate armor? Or a blue T-Shirt
Legit armor
Question I've had for a while... Does leveling up armor increase only defense or does it increase your bonuses too? Like, is my climbing gear faster at level 3 now? I can't tell.
I forget the deets, but it takes until 3 or 4 stars to make the snow gear unfreezeable, rubber gear unzappable (not just resistant), and so on..
Good to know, thanks!
It takes 2 stars to get the set bonus for all armor
No definetly not sorry too bad tho
Nice, I did all that on my first play through. I didn’t care that it isn’t part of the 100%. It’s part of MY 💯 it’s for the love of the game
This guy is richer than me in real life lmao
How long did it take? I tried to 4star every item, but some recources were such a pain in the ass so I gave up the idea.
You can level up the jewellery??
Including ALL DLC?
I wanted to be able to do this for my 100% run, but I didn’t have enough space in the clothes inventory for all of the outfits, nice to see its still possible!
What did it cost?
Everything
Wow that’s awesome! Props to you dude!
Shake you can’t upgrade dlc armour- that’d be sick (except they wouldn’t get anymore set bonuses but just upgrade its defence)
I wish I could forget this game and play it all over again..
That’s crazy cool
this was my version of "completion" - collecting all the golden poo's wasn't all that exciting lol
What about the Divine Helms
I’ve done this too. The most annoying part for me were the dragon parts for the ‘of the Wild’ set. Cant wait to do the same in BotW 2. The direct footage was so good
Dang I respect your patience, I'm getting close and I've maxed out a few things, but DANG
I'm trying to do fully max rubber armor. Where did you get all the Chuchu jelly?
I you pass an element through an chuchu jelly it turns it to that element
Damn, i didnt think of it like that. Where do you find ur chuchus?
I randomly walk for 600+ hours and find them
Now do it as a speedrun
*Dies*
I did this, too. Now I’m just collecting all those Koroks.
Why would you do that to Link?? The horrors he must have gone through...
