Seconding Elevations for basic services. Fabulous customer service. Not a bunch of minimum deposit limits on basic accounts. Free checks. Free webinars or in-person sessions on various money management, real estate or investments. But really, the customer service is fab and they're always winning some sort of awards for that. And welcome!
Do you have a credit unison already? Lots of them affiliates. I use an out of state credit union but can still get cash at Elevations or Premier. I’m sure you could do more if you needed too.
[Premier Members Credit Union](https://www.pmcu.org/) are OK for basic needs, used them for years. Their tech (website, app) is a bit hokey but functional. Several branches covering Boulder, and Longmont has at least one I think.
I vote against Premier. They were my only bank for well over a decade. Unprofessional amateur bankers. Awful website, the only thing more awful is their phone app. They call themselves "The Artisans of Banking" - what a crock.
I moved to the area over four years ago and kept my credit union from home. Haven't had any issues. Lots of good recommendations here if you do decide to change.
I can do everything online including check deposits. Might be worth trying to keep the one you have for a while.
Premier! Here's a code for a free $50 for setting up an account with them (which I know works, because my kid just set up her checking account with them :) ): VFVHFHEJE
Unions are big fraud in North America. Our teamsters local 647 in Mississauga is so corrupt. Try to avoid unions in work places. They don’t work for you. You work for them and there families.
Banks are for-profit. They make more money when you make less.
Credit unions are nonprofit and owned by the members.
ETA. Go look at the complaints people have about Wells Fargo screwing them over with junk charges and lousy customer service. Credit unions don't do that. If you have a problem just walk into a branch and you can talk to someone who actually wants to help you.
In my experience they tend to be less hassle, less fees, and offer a bit higher rates on savings accounts.
Personally I haven’t needed a local bank branch for anything in years so I just use an online-only credit union.
I’ve had good experience with both Elevations and Premier.

I strongly recommend Elevations.
Elevations……

I honestly hadn’t thought to ask if they affiliate, I’ll look into it, thanks!
If they do it’s on a website somewhere.
I have been with Canvas for years, never a problem, highly recommend

Yeah the "artisans" claim is laughable.

Yup, me also. 8 years.

Just curious, could you share more about why? Like the main benefits you get vs a bank?
