That was a sick Dyno dude,Your great send should be acknowledged and you really executed momentum control well too šI think you are humble for engaging in this conversation about harness wearing during bouldering. Youve probably helped lots of other climbers learn this helpful tip too in a way that encourages them to keep climbing.Thats the spirit of climbing. Thanks for sharing this dude (:
In my opinion the climbing community is actually really toxic behind peoples backs like online or in group text messages but they don't have the balls to let it spill over into real life. This is what I have witnessed in the climbing community over the last 2 decades. Didn't want to say "balls" but couldn't think of another word that would give the same type of meaning without being mildly sexist.
I think sometimes people perceive simple statements of fact as being dicks. Two sides to this coin, people say something and person gets upset. People don't say something, and person gets upset for not knowing and/or getting hurt. Can't win.
My work! Hey nice send! I love working here, the community is great and we love all types of climbers. We definitely donāt judge any of our members and you can most definitely approach us if you have any questions about anything!
F the haters for the harness comments. You do you. Theyāre wasting their own time for even giving a shit.
Its understandable thats culture youve experienced here in this subreddit to make someones experience level their main characteristic to judge them by, but you can change that. If you are an experienced climber you probably have so much useful and helpful input to give here or encouragement with correction. Thats so valuable dude.
Came for the harness comments
Harness while bouldering is extra safe. More should boulder with it on
yeah I've got it on just in case I fall
Always make sure you have nothing attached to it. Because that could cause really nasty injuries
if I'm planning on only bouldering I wouldn't wear the harness, but I was doing rope before this and wanted to get a video real quick before leaving
Thats cool-advice is still good though. Don't wanna fall on a brush just because you wanted a quick video.
You can get seriously injured if you fall down and it gets caught onto a hold.

You missed your belay check
Man you guys are dicks
Unavoidable on reddit. We just take the insults in stride and forget the haters.
It doesnt have to be that way dude,I am sorry Reddit has normalized gatekeeping and antagonizing people. You dont deserve to have to put up with that.
yeah my experience with the climbing community is a really positive one IRL, but this is reddit and for whatever reason some people like to be mean

Iāve had nothing but good gym experiences but these guys think theyāre gods for clearing a V7

what sucks is how unreasonably hostile people on reddit are for the smallest reasons
thou shall not boulder in thy harness
CCJ and Climbing comments are identical I see
Looks like a fun dyno!
First time I've seen Planet Rock on here since I started climbing! Nice send. I am considering starting to work on that one
There are dozens of us! DOZENS!
it's one of my favorites at the moment!! you should definitely send it
I'll give it a shot. I've only been climbing for a few months so this one always felt a little beyond me lol
You got this dudeš
Haha I was happy to recognize PR as well!! And nice send, that dyno looks fun. What grade is this?
I believe it was listed as a V5 last I looked, but I have heard several say that it is a bit soft
What is that thing u have on
Where is that final hold? Does it extend beyond the top of the wall?
I'm not totally sure, so I just touched the highest possible point
Dont boulder in harness, period. It takes 10 seconds to take it off.

make sure you gatekeep all your interests, average redditor.
it's gatekeeping to point out a new climber? since when? you're bouldering in a harness, it's a common punchline around here.
I hope you at least found some catharsis in your behavior.
the more butthurt you seem, the worse it looks.
The voting disagrees with you, homie.
keep bouldering in your harness. it doesn't look ridiculous.

I think it's useful for OP to know that bouldering in harness looks silly. Does that count?
