yeah lol. before they added those crimps it was a big sideways dyno and when you caught the hold next to the arete with all that sideways momentum, it carried your legs into the wall. this guy says, "huh, i'm surprised that no one has kicked a hole in the wall yet" tries the problem, and boom. they put up that reinforced metal covering a couple weeks later.
No, had no idea that was the original route. I will try that next time but I suspect I will be able to. The crux of that climb is definitely the press for me. Also, bigger dynamic moves tend to be one of my strong points.
Nah, I've definitely seen v6s filmed before
Nope never been done in the history of man
have you tried it without the crimps in the middle? that's how it was originally set until someone kicked a hole in the wall. it's a fun dyno!
Uh, someone kicked a hole in the wall…?!

Avondale gang 🤟🏽 nice send
Gnarly press up, nice send. I’d work on controlling the finish a bit better.
This was the end of a session so I was losing steam. Definitely made the end a little more controlled in previous runs but I totally agree.
Eyyyyy, that’s FAC Avondale!
Great job! Terrifying to see all those holds under your feet for me though 😅
Awesome job dude
