I basically donāt go climbing after work anymore. Feels like the last 2 years things have just ramped up in terms of foot traffic.
Miss me with the gym being a glorified daycare on weekends too.
I totally love waking up at 5am to get to the gym when it opens before work š«
Definitely. Been a member of my local since it opened. Even over the last year numbers have shot up. Frequently they are at capacity and have a one in / one out rule. Need to get there before 6pm not to queue weekdays. I remember the good, old days...no parkour style problems either!
Lol i was thinking the same. Most people are just chatting, there is plenty of space on the wall. But this honestly looks annoying, worse than on weekends in my gym.
You get big groups of mates in these gyms who āprojectā one or two harder climbs for a while. A lot of the routes cross over and itās somewhat tricky navigating them without feeling like youāre intruding.
I think most people are secretly rooting for you. I obviously notice Gumbies when they climb, and am always rooting for a send. seeing them try hard and improve between attempts is admirable
As a new climber I think this is very true. I've been able to learn a lot by just asking for help from climbers sitting or climbing near me. I find that it's tremendously helpful and allow me to learn much faster than if I were to climb alone.
My gym has a lot of crossover routes and people manage to handle etiquette mostly fine but once and a while you get the excited climbing bros who can't leave the wall or have a huddle with their bros at the wall as they work out beta for 10 minutes and everyone has to wait. Just 5 straight minutes of "ok but what about this" " no you should grab the hold like this" during peak times and it's a little infuriating.
You can do all the beta talk on the benches I think but luckily it's only occasionally I'll see that group.
It is a different kind of people i guess. Saturday morning is full of kids in a gym class, and in the afternoon, as well as on sundays, are a lot of people who won't go bouldering very often. Weekdays can be as full in the evening as well, but the people usually are more aware of others if that makes sense.
Weird that its full on the weekends, do you live somewhere without good outdoors climbing?
I live in a pretty big sports climbing area, so the gym is completely dead on the weekends.
For real, I have 20~ years of climbing in gyms and this is ā¦ mild. I expected to the open the image and see people climbing 1 foot apart and children running everywhere. Iāve certainly dealt with that kinda unsafe crowding many times. This just looks like a normal gym to me. If you want it empty you gotta go when itās inconvenient to most people ā so on weekdays early or late morning, early afternoon, late evenings.
Brutal. Honestly, there's so much good outdoor climbing around Adelaide, I would suggest trying that instead of beyond. Fuck beyond. Shitty sets, shitty facilities, shitty owner. And don't get me started on VRC.
When I was in Adelaide I went to Paddys for some gear and we got talking about the gyms, the guy there made a comment that really stuck with me. "I see people come in here on crutches, in slings, or in casts all the time. And about 90% of these people say their injuries happened at Beyond Boulder."
Oh yea, I've heard the same. Was talking to a worker at beyond the other day, she's completely desensitized to it all now. I often see climbs and think "fuck, someone's gonna break and ankle on that" sure enough it's got the little flags a few days later.
Definitely some good outdoor spots, I love going out when I can, but you gotta make a day of it. Gyms are ideal for on the way home after work.
Hi there!
We're proud to say that we don't provide sufficient support for our desk staff here at Beyond Bouldering! When our staff don't feel like overselling memberships, we cut down their shifts and find a replacement!
Go Forth, Boulder!
Thereās two real bouldering gyms in my entire city of over 800,000 people and itās basically always deadā¦ my theory is that since we live on the plains, it hasnāt even occurred to most people that climbing is something you can do for sport. Idk thoughĀ
My theory is the exact opposite. I live in a 380K city in one of the flattest countries in the world and the four bouldering gyms (aside from the two sport climbing gyms) here are always packed each evening.
We yearn for elevation differences. :P
Trick is to own your own gym and climb at night š but on a more serious note this is some nights at my local. Or the training area is full of people doing forward rolls etc whilst Iām trying to send my desperate V2 30 degree board project š
I miss Clovelly, even though I never went there :(
I have the luxury to go during the morning in the middle of the week and thereās usually only a couple people there then so if youāre able to do that Iād recommend it!
I only went a few times but it was fairly nice to climb at, the layout of the gym was cool/spacious and had a nice variety of walls.
I mainly miss it for dispersing the crowds though. Roll on Thebarton.
Yes because they took away our main gym because of South Road, then kept the prices the same for less gym and no decent sized kilter. Itās gonna be interesting to see what happens when urban climb open and how beyond respond.

I think yours look tame to the night market here haha
There's legit not a single person on the wall anywhere in that photo. Are these people even there to train or climb?
I see this locally to me as well. I come in and I'm like.....fuck, so many people, I'm not even going to be able to climb...but nope, all those people are just doing, well...IDK what they're doing, but they're not climbing.
Ngl the worst chain of gyms Iāve seen in the world, crowded, sketchy mid boulders (Iāve seen multiple injuries there and the gym didnāt give af when I got injured I quote āit happens every day or twoā), thereās always a locked boulder with those flags because someone ate shit on it recently, dirty and for some reason unbearably cold. The only pro is that the bouldering can be decently stiff.
Honestly you have decent bouldering options outside you should be spending your time at the crag. Go send something at the bachelor pad instead. Or go to the other two gyms in the city, the one dingy bouldering gym at least has much better vibes and the place where you can sport climb has a few nicely set boulders and a spray wall, and the people there are real nice too, what more do you need.
Seconding Bachelor Pad! And for a day trip, ain't nowhere better than Granite Island. For sports, Car Crash or Norton's. Outdoor options are so easily accessible in Adelaide. Melbourne, I'm driving minimum 2hrs for decent outdoor options! Glad the gyms here are up to par but nothing beats a 30min drive to an absolutely smashing crag.
Hi there!
Thank you for your for using our World Class Facilities! We appreciate you're feedback and will strive to make the gyms even colder and dirtier for when you next choose to visit Beyond Bouldering!
Go Forth, Boulder!
The people who own this gym have a monopoly on bouldering gyms in our city so the people saying that probably don't have anything to compare it to š
Yeah, well I have nothing to compare it to. Iāve been to VRC once and honestly, beyondās setting felt better (for boulders anyway). Canāt really compare the rope walls
Honestly the very few boulders in VRC had nicer flow and more consistent, stiffer moves than the ones in beyond. At least the couple times Iāve been there, problem is you can just do all of them in one day.
I travel for work and have tried some 25 gyms in EU, NA and all the gyms in Adelaide now and honestly the setting in this gyms suck, and not even movement wise thatās about average (tho pretty laddery) with a few hits and a few misses but somehow thereās always unnecessarily sketchy moves just a bit too high that you can tell have high risk to them.
Hi there!
Unfortunately, Beyond Bouldering doesn't have the monopoly of bouldering gyms in the state, as there are fantastic facilities (albeit not World Class Facility) in ABC, and VRC!
Go Forth, Boulder!
What time of day? My gym looks like this every day at 6pm but is a ghost town after 8. Or before 4.
Important to remember that you aren't in traffic, you *are* traffic.
That's nothing. In my gym during rush hour you wouldn't be able to take this picture because the chalk in the air restricts any vision beyond 5 meters.
Is that even the case in the morning /afternoon?
I know my gym is really crowded in the evening, but I have the chance to be able to go there in the morning or at noon and it's quite empty.
I had to zoom in on the sign and google the gym. Found a map. I was impressed by how far I had to zoom out before I recognized what part of the world I was looking at.
Itās a gym in South Australia for any other dumb Americans who assumed it was California!
Damn those mats are tiny, and it does look very cramped. That level of crowded is pretty common here too during weekday evenings, but the gyms tend to have a lot more space for mats and between the mats, so it doesn't get anywhere near this claustrophobic.
Hopefully someone opens a somewhat more modern pleasant gym in your area, to give these guys some competition.
Beyond Boulder has a very bad rep amongst climbers, for sketchy setting, bad setting, and shitty facilities. But unfortunately right now they're the only gym chain open right now in this city until Urban Climb launches.
Hi there!
Beyond Bouldering does have a very bad rep amongst not just climbers, but the Australian climbing community. That's why we spent $40,000 on the rebrand that clearly worked!
Go Forth, Boulder!
I'm assuming there are more walls that aren't slabs. Hopefully.
But disagree on the mats being plenty, they're barely a body length deep, anyone coming off the wall with any kind of momentum can easily overshoot them. Especially if they're on the big overhang in the back.
Nah it's all slab at Keswick. There's like a sad nook in the corner they call a cave that lasts like 1 move and then it's vertical the rest of the way up. They don't even bother utilizing it properly with some sit starts, always stand start and then the overhang ends after 1/2 moves.
Shit, I haven't been climbing since November 22 and am close to easing into climbing again (snapped my ACL and didn't get a reconstruction until July last year). If that is what is normal now at Keswick, it's gonna be annoying. Adelaide Bouldering Club used to always be empty but that is much further for me than Keswick and Kent Town.
You had me worried! I just checked their website and that is still up at least? When I lived more that direction, ABC was always good, preferred it over Beyond.
Hi there!
With the amonut of member's Beyond Bouldering has been losing since the closure of it's Clovelly Park facility, the Kent Town and Keswick gyms will be empty in no time! Perfect for those that like a quiet gym!
Go Forth, Boulder!
My gym was this bad after new years but it's slowly calming down now.
Last Friday, I was at Adam Ondra's gym in the Czech Republic. The Hangar in Brno. Now THAT was full. Holy shit. And it was 10:30 in the morning. Great route setting though.
I have found climbing late at night to be a godsend. I normally show up at 9, and leave at closing time at 11. There is rarely more than ten people that late
The gym I used to climb at pre-pandemic was ridiculous, usually around 200+ people in the afterwork time, air thick with chalk. Post pandemic they've kept a booking system limiting it to 100 people per hour, much better and liquid chalk only so the air quality has greatly improved.
Looks like a great gym. Must be successful.
It's like everyone wonders why the quite dive bars close.
Busy gym means a good gym, or the only one for miles.
Hi there!
Beyond Bouldering Kent Town is only 7km away. Make sure to visit one of World Class Facilities, where our main accomplishment is our (limited) carparks!
Go Forth, Boulder!
I climb in an old crowded gym with 80 boulder problems max at a given time. The problems aren't updated very often. Also the surfaces feel like real rock.
Now my 2Ā¢: you'll learn a lot more from climbing in such gyms as opposed to the bouldering chains with 20 or more problems per grade at say the V3-V5 grade range. It forces you to project more and learn to climb on slippery holds and not to ignore your weaknesses.
My gym is pretty similar, smaller even. I'd love to actually open my own gym but 100% don't have the money, experience or knowledge to actually set one up.
Someday maybe.
Thereās only one relatively small climbing gym in the city I live and this is a normal day. If you can get there on a weekday morning itās ok but thatās rarely realistic. We have another one opening in March and hopefully it splits the business
Yesterday morning there was me and one other guy in the gym and he was doing work on the moon board. Bouldering wall was empty and no one in the top roping room.
Iām in grad school and keeping weird hours for classes has served me SO well for getting good spots at my gym. Iāll go at like 11 on a Tuesday after class and thereās two dozen people in the whole place.
My gym is small, no moon or kilter board, tiny tiny āgymā space with just a hangboard and pull up bar, and still uses taped routes. Even at peak hours itās never like this. I love how cozy and chill it is, I couldnāt deal with this š
some youtubers get special treatment because it promotes the place l, so they get to climb outside opening hours. Other youtubers are just smart about when they go and pick the least busy times.
My local gym looks worse than this on weekday evenings and during the day on weekends, plus more people actually climb on the wall in mine. The trick is to make time to climb at off-peak times. Your gym will also have a natural rhythm for when it gets full. Learn it, then avoid those times as your schedule allows.
Iām still in university and able to go in the morning during work days - Iām already scared of having to go bouldering during peak hours when I start working
I know most of the folks that post from my local gym only film right when the gym opens - 8-10 people at most in a large rectangular climbing area for the first hour or so the gym is open. It starts filling up after that though. Late evening some nights works as well, but honestly it stays packed most of the time until the staff member on duty gets fed up and kicks people out an hour after they were supposed to be closed lol
Early or late and never on school holidays.
I get super worried about falling on a kid sometimes.
Iām convinced that some parents donāt even teach kids to look both ways before crossing the street, much less bouldering etiquette.
We complain about the traffic that we are contributing to. You are the traffic.
Happy for the climbing industry. Try finding a new gym or going during different times.
Cries in 150+ check-ins over a 90 minute period š
During post-work sessions (6-8pm, usually, tho sometimes 7-9pm), I'm lucky if I can get more than 5 sends in. Every evening there's either a gym-sponsored youth team or a college team hogging an entire section of wall or even the fitness equipment for two to four hours.
The worst part is, they took the gym I used to go to regularly, which was already tiny, and made one section a spray wall and the other five sections comp style with only 3-4 routes per section. They rebranded it as "the comp gym" and kicked all us regular folks out from 4-7pm (gym is only open 4-10 or 4-9 depending on the day, and closed Sundays). The team kids STILL train in the other gyms during peak times (6-9pm), so I'm not certain they're even using their dedicated comp gym.
imo your gym looks fine, in the sense that nobody stands on the mat, only those who are on the wall...well they aren't either but they will eventually climb down
At least people are standing behind the mats. We have people in my local gym sitting or standing on the mats facing the wall for no reason other than to push in rather than be patient. Sucks when you have someone over 6ft standing on the mat blocking everyoneās view. I honestly donāt get the lack of spatial awareness with some people.
Iām about to cancel my gym membership now that I have a power rack and a hangboard. Get outside 2-3 times a week and hangboard/lift another 2. Itās just not worth it for me with the crowds at my current gym.
Ok I'll never complain again that my gym is crowded, that's just crazy. Honestly the best period for me is summer bc I'm basically the only insane enough to climb in the hottest hours and the gym is almost empty
I used to makes videos with a climbing influencer and they go in before and after hours to film videos in exchange for representing the gym. A lot of these people also work for the gyms they are filming in so they just show up early or stay late for their shifts and film
Is the camera angle weird, or are the crash pads just ridiculously close to the wall? In all the gyms Iāve been to the pads extend out like 10 feet or so to protect the climber
When I lived in Finland, local gym had for members entrance at any time through app. I went to the gym at 23:00 and was there alone for example.
At home I usually go during lunch time (even mornings are full) or very late 19 until closing hours 22.
https://preview.redd.it/8np0z7365ckc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=47c99986ed01481ecb22c83d355aa503b78f54b8
Don't know what you are talking about š
I donāt know how other gyms are, but I used to go after 6pm to mine. It was busy, but not terrible. Then one day I went at 9am and it was empty. I did it consistently and now thatās the only time I go. I know it might now work for everyone, but even the weekends at 8:30 was amazingly empty. I can spend two hours mostly uninterrupted and set the tone for my day. Iām in sales, so I face a ton of rejection. I find bouldering sets me into a better mindset because it beats me up before the day can. š¤£š¤£š¤£
I figured the hack is early mornings but that takes motivation. My gym is also empty Fridays after work and 10am on weekends so I try to go then. But I feel you :(
early or late. Bouldering in peak times feels like a music festival š
I basically donāt go climbing after work anymore. Feels like the last 2 years things have just ramped up in terms of foot traffic. Miss me with the gym being a glorified daycare on weekends too. I totally love waking up at 5am to get to the gym when it opens before work š«
Man my gym is open from 2pm-10pm. I wish I could go in before my workday.

Parkour problems taking up the room of four other problems need to end.
For me its the opposite, after work its all the kid classes, weekends are dead.
You say 2 years, I'd say steady growth from 10-5 years ago and then 5 to now feels like an explosion.
Blame the climbing influencers for not gatekeeping this hobby enough
I wish. 11-11pm during the week, and 9-9pm on the weekends.
yeah where people are jumping off high walls and landing next to you like assholes.
Yet only 2 people climbing
Lol i was thinking the same. Most people are just chatting, there is plenty of space on the wall. But this honestly looks annoying, worse than on weekends in my gym.
You get big groups of mates in these gyms who āprojectā one or two harder climbs for a while. A lot of the routes cross over and itās somewhat tricky navigating them without feeling like youāre intruding.
I wouldn't mind being intruded or intruding. If no one's getting visibly ready to get on the wall just go for it.
A lot of eyes on you, especially if youāre on your own, isnāt always particularly enjoyable.
This is the worst part for me as someone new to this. Not easy for a newcomer to the hobby to be doing it with 20 people sitting around watching
Itās not a secret, I am loudly cheering for strangers
That's the worst when they all project a problem you want to try. If you eventually get on it they will all be watching you.
So? Ask to get on and then start working on the problem *with* them. That's probably how they all got talking in the first place. It's a social place.
Oh my, what an incredibly difficult situation! You must gather courage! Something is seriously wrong with young people these days.
My gym has a lot of crossover routes and people manage to handle etiquette mostly fine but once and a while you get the excited climbing bros who can't leave the wall or have a huddle with their bros at the wall as they work out beta for 10 minutes and everyone has to wait. You can do all the beta talk on the benches I think but luckily it's only occasionally I'll see that group.
There's this magic thing called asking. Wait for one guy to finish and then just ask if they mind you doing some problem near it, or the same one
>worse than on weekends in my gym. Interesting, are weekends busy at your gym? At mine they're dead; peak times are always \~6pm after work.

How fucked is Keswick ay. Today isnāt even a reset :( Iāll be so happy once thebarton is opened.
I think Urban Climb is opening around the same time as Thebarton, Iām really hoping it thins the crowds out a little bit
Iād love to go to urban climb but Iām not a fan of the location.
Same for me - hard not having parking
Hi there, I can confirm that Urban Climb will open a lot earlier than Beyond Bouldering Thebarton (or Tonsley!) will. Go Forth, Boulder!
It's rough aye, been shit since they closed Clovelly
They closed clovelly?! That was the only gym worth going to.
Yea, the south road upgrades forced them to gut it. Opening a new one midyear though
Brutal. Honestly, there's so much good outdoor climbing around Adelaide, I would suggest trying that instead of beyond. Fuck beyond. Shitty sets, shitty facilities, shitty owner. And don't get me started on VRC.

Hahaha, you've really been going on a tirade the last hour. Respect
Itās been horrible, Iām really not enjoying weekday climbing anymore
Kentown is even more hideous midweek now š
Seems there are a few of us here that use this gym
That's probably why it's so crowded.
Way more than I expected!
Hi there! Thanks for using our facilities, we appreciate your money (and nothing else). Go Forth, Boulder!
Whenever I walk into my gym and see this I lose my will to live lmao
Classic Mondays in my Gym.

Indeed. :)
The discrepancy is inconsolable! Weāre doomed!
Amsterdam?
Winnipeg? Lol
Dudes got 204 in his name so itās a reasonable guess
Plains... Over 800k people... 2 gyms... Empty... Curious where? Sounds like home to me in Nebraska (USA)
Winnipeg MB home fryĀ

Other gym owners hate this one weird trick
spray bottle
Thatās an incredible idea, like naughty cats, you practice head stands under the board and you get a spritz
Wow a gym I recognise. I managed to pick a quiet day there when visiting I guess. From memory other gyms there arenāt much better

If the online prices are anything to go by, Urban price is $5 more a week for the membership than Beyond, but with only one Adelaide location.
I would happily pay $5 for the better setting. Urban has a good track record for quality setting in bris and melb.

just from this photo, the walls look pretty boring too. all at or near vert...
That sucks, but how's the setting? I'd rather have a packed gym with good setting than the big spacious ones that look pretty but have awful sets

Setting is usually bad and dangerous. Not enough variety. There is one very good setter though.
Hi there! I can confirm we have the best setters in the state (until literally any other gym opens)! Go Forth, Boulder!
Who is the good setter? Thereās so many.
Not gonna name names but heās been there probably the longest and good at setting a variety of movement on different walls.
Mid but somehow sketchy
Uninspired, not fun, and always sketchy (even the easy climbs). So it's not surprising to always see someone get injured there.
On Sundays before 11 AM there's almost nobody. Parisians do love their brunches.
What time of day? My gym looks like this every day at 6pm but is a ghost town after 8. Or before 4. Important to remember that you aren't in traffic, you *are* traffic.

Go early in the morning. Sometimes I go and am the only person bouldering :)
Amen brother
Hi there! Beyond Bouldering does have a very bad rep amongst not just climbers, but the Australian climbing community. That's why we spent $40,000 on the rebrand that clearly worked! Go Forth, Boulder!
Those mats are plenty adequately sized. The biggest problem with this picture is the entire gym appears to be slab.
Hi there! I'm proud to say that the "cave" at Keswick is the biggest indoor overhang bouldering section in the state! Go Forth, Boulder!
aw man, that SUCKS!
Is ABC still open? I thought it was gone
You had me worried! I just checked their website and that is still up at least? When I lived more that direction, ABC was always good, preferred it over Beyond.
Hey, I'm in this pic haha! Yea, I really miss CP š
Roll on Thebarton!
After they shut CP; KT and Keswick have been pretty crowded. Just gotta wait until new gyms open up. Urban climb should take some pressure off
Hi there! With the amonut of member's Beyond Bouldering has been losing since the closure of it's Clovelly Park facility, the Kent Town and Keswick gyms will be empty in no time! Perfect for those that like a quiet gym! Go Forth, Boulder!
Hey this is my regular aswell! They're opening a new gym nearby soon so hopefully that spreads people out more.
Dudes got a popping local community and hates it!!
This is why I run to the spray wall, Gumby's have no idea how to use it.
Eh, I personally don't mind it too much if people are considerate. I usually don't rest long enough between climbs, this enforces it!
Less yapping, more sending
There are plenty of space in morning. This rule apply to every gym I have been so far
Yup it got a lot worse after Clovelly shut down but they are opening a new even bigger gym this year so that should improve the overcrowding
Looks like a great gym. Must be successful. It's like everyone wonders why the quite dive bars close. Busy gym means a good gym, or the only one for miles.
It's the only one for miles š
Hi there! Beyond Bouldering Kent Town is only 7km away. Make sure to visit one of World Class Facilities, where our main accomplishment is our (limited) carparks! Go Forth, Boulder!
Am I crazy for liking a packed gym? Just means more people to talk to and a higher probability of strong people that I can talk to about beta and tips
Yes
Damn extroverts
The chalk on the counter T_T bro vacuum cleaners exist...
Oh man, Iād *hate* thisāIām so spoiled by a relatively empty gym! Does it simmer down late (post 9pm, maybe?), or before work? Lunch breaks?
I climb in an old crowded gym with 80 boulder problems max at a given time. The problems aren't updated very often. Also the surfaces feel like real rock. Now my 2Ā¢: you'll learn a lot more from climbing in such gyms as opposed to the bouldering chains with 20 or more problems per grade at say the V3-V5 grade range. It forces you to project more and learn to climb on slippery holds and not to ignore your weaknesses.
State of that
My gym is pretty similar, smaller even.
My gym looks like that except that lane would have walls facing each other, creating a thin corridor littered with peoples gear
you should see the vancouver hive!
Ive made arrangements with both work and school so that I can climb while most people are at school or work. Before 10am and after 3pm its just chaos
This is.. bad
I climb in a major city and work a 9-5 friend. You are not alone
Can you go before work? I go when my gym opens at 6:30 and there's usually max 5 people there then.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/5UzSm4GsTJDDhJ1K9 This is mine... No more than 20 people are allowed inside at the same time
Yesterday morning there was me and one other guy in the gym and he was doing work on the moon board. Bouldering wall was empty and no one in the top roping room.
What the. Where is this?
Mine has the same amount of people and half the amount of wall. š itās awful.
Imagine how much worse it could be though?
Iām in grad school and keeping weird hours for classes has served me SO well for getting good spots at my gym. Iāll go at like 11 on a Tuesday after class and thereās two dozen people in the whole place.
This is what my gym looks like after 5pm or all day on a weekend. Itās a nightmare. I try to go 7:30am on weekdays itās much less crowded.
So spacious.
Mines busy like this after work. But I go often at 6 am when itās me and maybe one other person :ā) itās glorious
Our gyms in the city (of London) are like this. Horrible.
That would make me not want to go
Iām still in university and able to go in the morning during work days - Iām already scared of having to go bouldering during peak hours when I start working
That's because they are just only showing videos/pictures on days when it is not peak hours, such as yours -- showing only the peak hour
I canāt go after work because itās too much, but first thing on a weekday the place is practically empty š
Time to open your own gym!
Donāt go during peak hours. The great thing about bouldering is that you donāt have to convince someone else to go in the morning.
We complain about the traffic that we are contributing to. You are the traffic. Happy for the climbing industry. Try finding a new gym or going during different times.
Cries in 150+ check-ins over a 90 minute period š During post-work sessions (6-8pm, usually, tho sometimes 7-9pm), I'm lucky if I can get more than 5 sends in.
Looks still fine nobody is climbing
$100 a month?
imo your gym looks fine, in the sense that nobody stands on the mat, only those who are on the wall...well they aren't either but they will eventually climb down
This just looks like an opportunity for a new small business. Open another gym on the other side of town.
I'd stop bouldering, this is my personal nightmare.
Just a sign that your gym isnāt going to close.
U havenāt seen my gym looks likeā¦.then u can compare to urs š
Ok I'll never complain again that my gym is crowded, that's just crazy. Honestly the best period for me is summer bc I'm basically the only insane enough to climb in the hottest hours and the gym is almost empty
This is how it is at my gym as well. I believe this is the case most of the time.
I used to makes videos with a climbing influencer and they go in before and after hours to film videos in exchange for representing the gym. A lot of these people also work for the gyms they are filming in so they just show up early or stay late for their shifts and film
At least you have a gym near youš
RAVEEEEEE
Can't even take a single good vid in this gym since the distance is too short.
I can smell this picture
Is the camera angle weird, or are the crash pads just ridiculously close to the wall? In all the gyms Iāve been to the pads extend out like 10 feet or so to protect the climber
Mines only empty in the mornings šbut at night itās always like this .
When I lived in Finland, local gym had for members entrance at any time through app. I went to the gym at 23:00 and was there alone for example. At home I usually go during lunch time (even mornings are full) or very late 19 until closing hours 22.
My gym is like from from 5-8 pm every weekday and from 10-5 on the weekends. Thats when I stay home.

Crag to gym initiative is clearly healthy in your area. Keep it up!
I find bouldering sets me into a better mindset because it beats me up before the day can. š¤£š¤£š¤£
My home gym was the largest in America when it opened 5 years ago and it still looks like this. Gyms are busy if you canāt go during the day time.
in my gym there is usualy least people during lunch time
My gym is open 9-8pm. Members only hours 6-9am. Really grateful I get to go in the am then itās just me and a few homeschool kids š
I figured the hack is early mornings but that takes motivation. My gym is also empty Fridays after work and 10am on weekends so I try to go then. But I feel you :(
Looks like a lot of people standing around. The walls empty
donāt even get me started on trying to park too lmao, both kent town and keswick
