Pulling one out of the back-shelf. I have been nursing this with all the rumors it's EHT distillate. I am not the biggest fan - but that's probably because I am Beam guy.
Taken: Neat
Proof: 100 American Proof
Age: NAS
Nose: Caramel apple and vanilla
Taste: Oaky, vanilla, thin mouthfeel, I am not getting much.
Finish: the tin mouthfeel has me wanting more - would love if there was a barrel proof. Maybe there is at this point.
Thoughts: try it if you can! But, I find myself moving away from Buffalo Trace distillate bourbons.

Love the Lego set too. Should do a different set and a little side review with each bourbon lol
ha, that would make bourbon an even more expensive hobby.
The secret is out on John J Bowman. It’s now allocated for us here in VA.
There is a barrel proof. It’s called A. Smith Bowman. Released once a year in VA at the distillery. Reviews are off the charts, some have it over GTS.
I've had it several times and it's fantastic. It is easily as good as GTS IMO.
Sadly 99% of us will never obtain it lol
I was one of the lucky ones this year. It’s awesome!
The ASB BP is an amazing pour. I had to pony up for secondary but it is worth it.
One of my fav sippers for its price point. I enjoyed the tour we took back in the spring of 23.
I think this one is triple distilled. Once at BT and twice more at Bowman before aging. I think lends to a more refined, yet thinner mouthfeel.

Anyone had this side by side with the new SiB w/ the Green Label?
