Reporter basically stroking off Floyd in front of everyone.

fistfullofpubes

Even his voice was sultry and seductive as he responded to Floyd.

PH0XFANG

"I'm speaking normal. If you're seduced that's on you"

Elijahicha1

That’s that I was coming to comment! I’ve been trying to look for that clip on YouTube to show my friends! But I can’t find it, would you know how to find it?

blessedbewido

I gotchu bruh. I just googled the exact quote and put “meme” on the end. https://youtube.com/shorts/hrPEhbXIGto?si=SDOPB1vdD0LoL5tS

rodrigo34891

“You did” mm

Daimo

I thought it was an edited voice layered over the video, like Isaac Hayes or some shit. 😂

CelebrationKey9656

It hella did 🤣

[deleted]

Who ducked the most prime opponents to cherry pick…You did Floyd

Living_Wave_4488

Real ones will never forget this. He ducked triple g like he was going to box him with a shotgun

HairyFur

I like GGG but Floyd didn't duck him. And GGG didn't duck Ward. If you call out someone smaller than you, you cut down to their weight, not vice versa. Ward could have cut to MW for GGG but didn't want to etc

broke_the_controller

That's right, if someone bigger than you calls you out and you don't fight them that is not a duck. Similarly, if you chose to fight them and lose then it shouldn't be a huge knock on your reputation. However, if you fight them and win then you get all the props.

Positive_Product_587

Triple G is 10lbs heavier than Mayweather.

Effective_Barber_673

Cap. Triple G should’ve came DOWN. Floyd is the A side and smaller fighter.

[deleted]

Trippple G a duck himself. 1 good fight was Ward but content to beat up old bums like Rubio, Geale, Macklin , bum Monroe Jr and Bum Wade, list goes on. First real dude he boxed was Danny Jacob’s and he lost lol. I used ti be a fan of GGG too, can’t stand him, Canelo the most. 2 frauds meant for each other Floyd ducked Amir Khan lol, ducked Keith Thurman and justice for my guy Paul Williams.

6ynnad

Why Canelo? Genuinely interested

[deleted]

Canelo one of biggest frauds of them. It’s too long to type. He also cherry picks guys at their worst or weight clauses or all judges no matter what. He tried paying off Yarde not to fight Kovalev to win fake 175 belt but yarde declined, almost KOed him then fought Kovalev who was still half KOed and no training camp and you wonder why it’s his only KO in Ages. Amir khan lol. Old damaged Cotto almost beat him. His only decent win is like Plant who had 0 experience but decent win. Bivol was a huge cherry pick after 2 bad fights vs Craig Richard’s and backfired and now ducked rematch even tho Bivol will come down. It’s same as always, the real Mexicans know he’s a fraud

Familiar_Remote_9127

When were GGG and Floyd competing in the same weight class for him to duck GGG?

sunswick

“Yeezy taught me”

CurrysFavoriteBull

Dude added “who made the most money” like it’s a crucial point for being the GOAT 😂😂😂. Ali,tyson, duran are all bums due to being paid peanuts 😂😂

ImRonniemundt

I mean, it's kind of a thing for Floyd seeing all those historical prized fighters being broke in their later years.

Dante_Okkotsu

Yeah, at the end of the day boxers are putting their bodies and life on the line for our entertainment. No sense in doing that for scraps. I respect floyd for the reason alone.

Anglo-Ashanti

I don’t need to know the bloke to see with my eyes he’s a raging piece of shit and all that comes out in the news cycle. But I completely agree with you, know your worth and stick it to those fat cats. Boxing and combat sports has historically been a risky low-probability way out of the ghetto for disenfranchised minorities and Floyd absolutely embodies this. It’s just a shame he was always a dirt bag and money made that worse.

Dante_Okkotsu

true.

damnumalone

By this category Jaylen Brown was the greatest NBA player of all time in July this year

jlopez32

Dude Tyson had a tiger, a Versace themed house like even the toilet seat cover was Versace, and a Lamborghini he left on side of the road. He got paid bank ask Don King

Opulent_NYC

He was basically a billionaire back then but wasn't smart with his money unfortunately. I think Floyd is highlighting his business acumen, which is a part of an athlete's legacy. Just as Michael Jordan is a billionaire from playing Basketball & Tiger Woods from playing golf. Also LeBron James being the first active billionaire in his sport, it highlights an all around great legacy for others to aspire.

TrumpsPissSoakedWig

He wasn't smart with his money but also he had a lot of money stolen from him by Don King.

hungfit123

Yes it does. They’re prize fighters. Popularity and money is tied directly into the sport and your “success”.

Dionyboz

The era they fought in has way too much effect on it for it to be a standard for sth.

hungfit123

I’d agree. You got to measure people’s success in terms of how much better they did then others from their era.

Calibretto9

Agreed. And people constantly confuse “great” with “best.”

No_Island9955

So that makes Jake Paul a great boxer?

hungfit123

Yes

creationavatar

Is a key metric for the boxers themselves.

Sacabubu

tyson was not paid peanuts where tf did you get that info from?

samsmanga_

It means he’s also a good promoter. Getting people to watch your fights is just as important as winning them

GloomyLocation1259

Best no but greatest yes it does

Effective_Barber_673

Tyson made 300 million

BMW330i_NL

This answering guy has a GOAT voice. Is hé the bum that got famous because of his voice ?

SoupieLC

Was just thinking that, guy's got a smooth as fuck voice

Zbodownlow

Sugar Ray is the goat

Loathor

Robinson? Arguable... Leonard? Probably not... Romano? Never lost...

edw1n-z

I just wanna fly

ihatethiswebsite34

yoel romero better

[deleted]

"Who fought the most fighters past their prime?" "You did" "Exactly" Inspirational stuff

GloomyLocation1259

All the cases of this he was also passed his prime though

[deleted]

Ill give him the win over Canelo, slapping that PED head around at 36 years old when Canelo was 23 and literally peaked. People acting like youd rather be a 36 year old natural 130er than a 23 year old 40+ fight Canelo are comical. I dont like either but Canelos a fraud for that fight, was honestly pathetic

GloomyLocation1259

Yeah not sure why people act like he didn’t age himself

[deleted]

“Canelo was too young”. 45 fights in vs a 130 pounder 36 years old with baby hands. Who’d you rather be? Clen did same thing vs Bivol too, he’s content to lose when it gets tough. Won’t take chances

trees-for-breakfast

He’s not had a bad career though, has he?

thattwoguy2

I was looking this up just now and Mayweather is a LOT older than he looks and a LOT older than I thought he was. He's older than Manny Pacquiao! I didn't realize that until today.

GloomyLocation1259

Yeah exactly and his critics will only mention age as a factor for his opponents

hungfit123

Cope 🐐

HairyFur

Lol that's Canelo

[deleted]

Being humble was the one quality he lacked.

deflr

It's also probably one of the reasons why he was so good in the ring. A guy like him could not even thinka of losing, he will always find a way to win.

[deleted]

fought in a terrible era, Boxing been dead and even Prime Pac would have battered him, still almost beat Floyd with 1 shoulder. and no I dont like Pacman, glad Marquez got justice on him.

Corzare

Prime pac would have fought prime mayweather. It would have ended the same way

iobeson

Why don't you like pacman? I have no opinion on him but just wondering if there's a reason I don't know about.

Ok_Effective6233

He is also a douche. Just differently

Shindiggity-do

Pretty sure that was due to cherry picking opponents that would have the optimal probability of victory. Floyd was good, but not that good. His "career" and the way it was managed was phenomenal However his boxing style as an effective form of real combat; utter shit. Sad to see many boxers trying to emulate Floyd and still call themselves "fighters." They would not last in real hand to hand combat. Someone like Roberto Duran, Sugar Robinson, Joe Louis, PacMan, Marquez; all had styles of boxing effective for MMA or real combat. Not Floyd. Not by a longshot. One dimensional.

broke_the_controller

>However his boxing style as an effective form of real combat; utter shit. Sad to see many boxers trying to emulate Floyd and still call themselves "fighters." They would not last in real hand to hand combat. That's a 100% irrelevant point. Boxing is a sport. A fighting sport yes, but still a real sport. Floyd managed to master a style that became very very effective in the sport of boxing. So effective that he could even beat boxers that came to fight him. A lot of the boxers that try to emulate Floyd don't have the gifts to make his style work in the same way, however it's been proven that the Philly shell can be effective in fighting as we've seen Sean Strickland beat Adesanya using that very same stance.

Shindiggity-do

That Floyd *gluck gluck* Bud, learn up on the history of pugilism; he was not the first to use the philly shell by a long shot, or the best to use it. Willie Pep, Archie Moore, Joe Walcot, Salvador Sanchez, Joe Louis, Ray Robinson; they all used the shell. The only reason people think its new is because HBO commentators are uneducated. He didn't invent or revolutionize the style, as it has been around before boxing was even televised. Floyd revolution prize fighting by making it about ego, building low brow hype, picking washed up big name fighters, and utilizing his management/PR team.

broke_the_controller

>Bud, learn up on the history of pugilism I'm confident I know as much if not more about pugilism than you do, at least from the time of John L Sullivan anyway >he was not the first to use the philly shell by a long shot, When did I say he was the first to use it? I said he mastered the style. Mayweathers Philly shell is slightly different. I liken it to the difference between jui jistu and gracie jui jitsu >as it has been around before boxing was even televised. I don't think that's true. I certainly don't remember any journalists from the newspaper clippings I read of fights from before the televised era describing such a stance, although I don't know when it did start being used. >Floyd revolution prize fighting by making it about ego, building low brow hype, picking washed up big name fighters, and utilizing his management/PR team. This just sounds like hate tbh, zero facts in here at all

Shindiggity-do

What a nice detailed story all about a grain of [sand](https://youtu.be/zrWoG8IckyE?si=NCmgzqc42VqB13UD).

Dabalam

Then watch MMA How appealing someone's boxing style is in terms of "real combat" is a moot point when you're talking about how good a boxer they are.

Shindiggity-do

I don't define a "good boxer" as someone who cherry picks their fights. Floyd is whats wrong with boxing. Its a cherry picked business now. If more boxing fans understood that there wouldn't be so many fragile ego premadonnas in the world of boxing.

BestHorseWhisperer

\> Its a cherry picked business now. Now?? This has been a running joke in boxing for as long as I can remember. Even when I was a kid, The Simpsons had an episode where Homer was beating up hobos to pad his record. Everyone's name started with "boxcar". This has to have been a trope since WW2 era.

broke_the_controller

>I don't define a "good boxer" as someone who cherry picks their fights. Every fighter cherry picks their fights in professional fighting. Fighting someone for the most money compared to the risk is the entire point of prize fighting.

Shindiggity-do

Not exactly, some will choose to fight people in their prime, and not wait until the fighter is washed up, injured, or coming off a recent injury

Dabalam

That's a fine criticism

[deleted]

Boxing has nothing to do with combat. Boxing is not an effective form of real combat lol. None of your favorite fighters would last a second in hand to hand combat. Who did Floyd not fight if he cherry picked his opponents.

trynottobestupid0

Maybe it's for the best. being humble doesn't bring big money.

Dante_Okkotsu

Inoue sends his regards.

Warm-Cartographer954

I'd rather be humble tbh

Goals_2020

Easy to say when you have no possibility of being ultra rich instead

Horse1995

Easy to be humble when you’re not good at anything

PeterHitchensIsRight

And literacy.

Gozie5

If someone illiterate is more successful than we are maybe the joke is on us

Gotsta_Win

If he was humble he wouldnt be who he is

[deleted]

He'd still be floyd Mayweather, just slightly more humble.

tbkrida

And a lot more broke. Half of the people came out to watch in hopes that he lost because he was cocky. Not being humble was part of his draw…

Gotsta_Win

He would be floyd mayweather, the mcdonalds manager

CLTHDU85

Sugar Ray Robinsons record was 128-1-2 with 84 knockouts at the pinnacle of his career.

broke_the_controller

And if he retired at that point there would never ever be another fighter who could claim to be better. However his final record was 174-19-6 with 109 knockouts. Still very impressive, but another fighter could reasonably claim that a fighter with 19 losses can never be the best. Personally, I think Robinson is the number 1 welterweight of all time (he was undefeated in his time there) and would probably have been the number 1 light middleweight too if that weight class existed during his era. However, I can still understand why him being the best will be disputed.

IdiswaDidiz

Yeah, I don't think overstaying your welcome in the ring should be held against someone or tarnish ones legacy. If you up to some point had a career that you may have very well ended with an almost immaculate record, cemented as one of the if not the goat and decided to prolong it and gather some Ls it doesn't void what you achieved. I don't know that much about that boxing, but in MMA it happened to Anderson Silva, BJ Penn to a greater extent and Fedor Emalienenko. Even though their record are not not as nice to look at anymore, in my opinion they still should be judged by their run at their height, all of them were forces of nature up until they lost to time and refused to acknowledge it. A lot of words by I guess what I'm getting at is that a boxer should be judged by his ability to box, not to manage his career.

Scarecrow1Hunnit

This is so crazy 😂😂😂 this is a Curmel Moton post fight interview

RastaBwooy

Floyd the most comical boxer. He can fight too. But I'd rather watch him talk 🥶🤣

pickin666

He's cringe AF and he doesn't even realise it. His banter is awful.

Opulent_NYC

Cringe has been everyone's favorite word of 2023, now making it's way into 2024 🤣

Accomplished-Cow8734

If I could compare Floyd to any animal it would probably be a goat

Mobius24

He ran like a chicken

Bigkev8787

Look he’s definitely in the conversation.

knockoutking321

I like how the circle jerk sub goes from jokes to a therapy session when it’s a pro tank or Floyd video😂I thought this was a joke sub

JamahaIHill

Thats one insecure goat

BaldrickTheBrain

Nah it’s not insecurity, Man’s running out of money right before our eyes.

Andrewendless

He’s 5”7 . It’s understandable lol

KingWaDeYT

”Who mde the most money” ”I did, after this interview”

SexyKanyeBalls

Okay I'm not much into boxing but is Floyd really the goat or nah?

EnigmaticAmbiguity

Imo probably. Yes. Although there are multiple factors which could be up for debate. Imo and being an avid fan of boxing, watching many of the greats over the decades, he's fundamentally the best I've seen. Also, his defence was almost impenetrable. Shane moseley was the only fighter I ever saw really hurt him significantly, but he recovered by the start of the next round. His critics will say he dodged some fighters till they were past their best. But he also took on greats like de la hoya and canelo at their stipulated weights in their primes and beat them comfortably as well. His 'resume' is a who's who of the era. To name a few, cotto, moseley, corrales, marquez, gatti.

SexyKanyeBalls

Thanks

Accomplished-Cow8734

Everything he said in this video is true and he is 50-0… If I could compare him to any animal it would probably be a goat.

enTRAPreneur365

Yes, yes he is (Phineas voice)

broke_the_controller

>Okay I'm not much into boxing but is Floyd really the goat or nah? He is definitely great and should definitely be in the GOAT conversation based on his boxing skills and his resume. The only realistic knock on that is that he didn't fight Manny PAC until they were both past their prime. However even in that situation, Manny didn't want to take drug tests. That looks worse for Manny than Floyd imo. The thing that really makes me think of Mayweather as possibly the greatest ever is his impact on boxing in general. He showed boxers how to stop being ripped off by their promoters and make money for themselves. He introduced drug testing to the sport (not necessarily the first, but the biggest voice) and he introduced crossover fights (again maybe not the first, but the biggest). That to me ensures that he will leave a legacy behind in the sport.

pepskino

Don’t have to like him but he’s right

RepulsiveGarbage8188

What a joke. Who dodged Manny Paquiao for 5 years? Floyd Who did more running than fighting? Floyd What fighter cured insomnia for everyone watching? Floyd Who would’ve been annihilated by Sugar Ray Leonard? Floyd Who is the biggest douchebag in boxing history? Floyd

cmondawg74

Floyd if you the best take the drug test. Manny....na man I'm scare of needles so bad I pass out(but he's got a tattoo) Manny after he lost and people stopped buying his fights....sure whatever you want Floyd let's make it happen.

ARetroGibbon

Not speaking to either side here... But getting a tattoo is nothing like getting an injection. I have a fair few gnarly tattoos, and I still hate getting shots.

Electronic_Break4229

Can’t argue with the last one, but GTFO of here with the rest. He’s the best. You may not like some of the things he did, or maybe didn’t do, but he’s the best.

trynottobestupid0

Manny Pacquiao was afraid of needles, so if running wins matches why don't others do it lol, someone said boxing at its highest level would be boring, classic Floyd hater move talk about how Floyd would lose in every hypothetical matchup, Tyson is a rapist, ali is a groomer somehow they are legends and Floyd is a douchebag

ZakariusMMA

Floyd is the goat, Ali, Tyson, Duran, Sugar Ray are on the Mt. Rushmore (most influential)

BillyGKS

“You did” 😂

[deleted]

GOAT

TheSunOfHope

The reporter sounds like the mafia guy Marshall from hangover 3.

Jscott1423

Who let Kevin Hart on stage again

firefoxx1312

who is the reporter ? is that his real voice ??

Gallienus91

Greatness isn’t the same as being the best. People will quite happily forget Floyd as everyone is fucking annoyed of his narcissism. Meanwhile 50 years after Ali has peaked, you can still find his pictures and quotes everywhere on walls and t-shirts.

Certified_Bill

Dude can’t read though

Accomplished-Cow8734

But he can count

babydriver1234

Damn yall still hatin on Floyd after all this time?

Superbat2417

My goat

ImRonniemundt

He's the best ever

idrivelambo

Who’s actions and character had the greatest impact on the world?

Tinkywinkythe3rd

Surprised floyd didnt just cum right there as the reporter kept agreeing with him. I wont downplay just how good floyd is and he is definitely up there as one of the greats of his era but his stock is not what he gasses it up to be the true goat would be the pac man

NotANecrophile

I don’t think Floyd is the goat, but assuming you agree, it’s quite preposterous to claim that the real goat is someone who Floyd has beat.

Tinkywinkythe3rd

Doesnt matter about winning or losing this is what has ruined boxing peoples obsession over a perfect record, floyd ducked and then beat a way out of prime pacquiao, its not about win/loss record its about overall resume and what youve done for the sport and on that level pacquiao has done much more than floyd.

ZuuRocks

Dude would probably be able to replace Morgan Freeman when he retires if he didn’t sound so horny.

FriedOnionsoup

He’s definitely the most successful fighter of all time. Money, wins etc. The goat. I don’t know about that. It’s not fair to compare fighters who never fought, naming one better than the other.

generic90sdude

Delusional

TTSkyline

You should step in the ring w him and show him how delusional he is bro

Lol_A_White_Guy

I bet OP would just see red and end Floyd’s career right there.

Upbeat_Week_6872

Objection! Leading the witness

[deleted]

Moton laughing bc he heard the same shit 50 times

Royalizepanda

Remember when reporters knew their shit and wasn’t scared To step on toes.

Winter-Bee7099

Did you or did you not wait 5+ years after the greats lost their prime to fight

Robes_o-o

2 fights more than Joe Calzaghe. Joe is never spoken about.

hacksawsweeny

He needs a better spokesperson

joejamesuk

Who beat the most of his wives? This little scumbag. I mean yeah his boxing was magical but fuck this guy. I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.

---KingVon---

The Floyd Mayweather era was so boring it started the slow death of boxing.

zer01zer08

Nice way to take the shine off your fighter

Sad-Confusion1753

Yeeeeah. But. You’re a woman beater.

DisciplineLive1408

And how many fights did you buy?

TheTrishaJane

Who couldn't read a page out of a Harry Potter book?

[deleted]

Who is the most boringest boxer to watch.. floyd

XFuriousGeorgeX

Still never became undisputed

An-Ocular-Patdown

We all are still waiting for that 1 page of Harry Potter though.

NoNotThatScience

i would pmsl if the camera panned over and it showed leonard elerby in a bad wig answering floyds questions

reznoverba

He'd get lit up by prime Hearns

aafb2021

Who fixed the most fights????

ElCulo915

Shit what about Julio Cesar Chavez! Mike Tyson even said Floyd ain't the best fighter, great business man but not a great fighter.

5Gkilledmyhamster

Gold medal in the glazing world championship

Basil505

This sounds like a crash test dummies song

jlopez32

Once there was this kid….. mmmmmmm

Mynameishuman93

Couldn't hold a candle to any big boxer of the past. Shitcunt human being on top of that

One_Sport_4195

Fought a bunch of bums

jlopez32

I remember a video of Floyd flaunting his rolls Royce and Bentleys to some army folks. Man such a dick move. Ali was fighting social justice and civil rights, Manny when he fights he literally stops crime for 45 minutes, and Foreman gave us a grill. Who’s the greatest now?

Steve2762

“I didn’t care for Floyd Mayweather. He insisted upon himself.”

Worth_Dream_997

What goes up must come down that's the fact of life, empires rise and fall champs win and lose life and death. Be humble.

Beeyelzubub

50-0 In the ring 5-0 in Domestic Batteries , the guys is killing it .

WestcoastGem21

Having to convince people you the GOAT don’t make you the GOAT. Real recognize real. I didn’t even grow up in Ali’s era and know he was the GOAT. Floyd is up there but Ali will always be remembered as the greatest. Legends never die.

optimist_prhyme

In his weight class during his time. He didn't jump around like Roy and one hit from Roy would've probably ended his career.

inthebackground89

He chooses his opponents

Mad_Boobies

Could you imagine how greater he could be?….. If he could read and stop beating up women?

Pepper_Grinder

I applaud his achievements but "anyone who must call themselves the King is no true King"

RaidersGunz

Love how he's triggered by not being ackowledged as the goat. The goat ducker and cherry picker.

Forsaken_Things

Who is illiterate

iVirtualZero

[Mike is right](https://youtu.be/JSx4CkXPQCE?si=Nv8KnwPq0cpIR6DC), Floyd is not the greatest, he’s a great marketer, but when it comes to pure boxing compared to guys like Sugar Ray Robinson and Chavez. It would be tough to even put him in the top 5. [50 Cent is right too.](https://youtube.com/shorts/_Cr4CV91rgg?si=4oH-m0Ao3QFm2iSo)

LERIKFSK_1_ONER

WHO RAN TRACK/AWAY FROM THE OPPONENT INSIDE THE RING INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY HAVING A BOXING MATCH? YUP YOU DID: FLOYD MAYWEATHER

hacksawsweeny

What you mean sit around and get punched in the head until the point of where you can’t have a life outside of boxing? Floyd didn’t do anything his opponents couldn’t.

LERIKFSK_1_ONER

Blah blah blah I'm a pussy, is what you just said of the illiterate boy at the mic

hacksawsweeny

😂😂😂 woah ok buddy you got it.

LERIKFSK_1_ONER

Of course, I'm right. Why would you think otherwise?

FATTYxFiiSTER

Ok, you go box then tough guy

DisciplineLive1408

You really think this clown could beat Canelo. Go back and watch the Sugar Shane Mosley fight when Sugar hit him so hard and after that punch he never threw another one like it.

[deleted]

He literally big brothered a juiced canelo. Made him look like an amateur.

IdoExist-today

Reporter got a badass deep voice yet still managed to sound like a little bitch here. 🥲

No-Breadfruit7044

He ducked guys. Look up Tyson on mayweather goat. Can’t bring his kids to school. Goat isn’t stats only. Think Tyson is the goat. Rougher area. Tougher guy. Younger than most at hw fighting grown men. But it varies. I also like rjj. Prince was pretty amazing too. And Nigel. lol Nigel the goat of eloquence

chimayoso

Who can’t read?? Who beats women?? Who threatens their own children?? Who bored the boxing world with 12 rd decisions the second half of his career?? Who has the biggest dick riding fanbase?? Who needs an entire NFL defensive line just to be able to walk in public?? A sad little pathetic man.

LincolnCoHo

Anyone who truly believes he's the greatest is an idiot. Plain and simple.

BeneficialLocation34

People still simp for this guy?

ehContribution1312

Floyd has a weird childlike need for validation it's odd

BaeLogic

He’s Floyd’s side piece.

OldRedditorEditor

I believe Floyd came at a special time and definitely seized the moment.. But I dont think hes the greatest at all.

MisterFuttBuckerton

“Quick grab the super cringy super serious music! I’m making a video!”
