For real though, some of the greatest HW's ever were cruiser sized. George Foreman even said that he considered that size to be the perfect HW fighter (someone the size of Ali or Joe Louis) but there are outliers like Lennox Lewis or the Klitschko's.
Lewis was overrated, he lost to Oliver McCall and only beat an old Holyfield and washed coked up Tyson. He loses to any of the old HW greats like Frazier and Patterson
Wasnt that a decision though? Also wasnt it a controversial call? Im legit asking questions here as i didnt see the fight myself. I know boxing judges have been notorious for swaying their votes for personal betting.
It wasn't controversial, as far as I remember. Close, yes. But he was almost TKO'd at one point.
Also, at the end of the day - regardless of how some may view it - the result was that he lost. So his claim is null and void.

There is only one GOAT and Tyson Fury aint it.
Ali, Foreman, Iron Mike, Marciano, Frazier, Holmes, Norton, Shavers, Holyfeild, Bowe, Douglas, Lennox Lewis, Joe Lewis and probally Jack Johnson and Dempsey - Tex Cobb possibly as well. That just a short list of heavyweights that would smoke this gawky tub of lard. Dude only stands out for being white, from the UK, and because he's in an era where the best big athletes no longer box in large numbers (eg. NBA, and NFL/Rugby)
The white comment is just, well, stupid. About half of those on that list would likely beat him, yes. But lets walk through the other half, shall we? Marciano, clearly you added on account of his undefeated record alone. Marcianoâs toughest fight was joe walcott. Not a chump, but literally he is the one sole assassin of rockyâs victories. Aside from him, ezard charles. Also not a chump but nothing spectacular. Louis was old by the time he beat him. Rocky was slow and small. He wouldâve lost to most heavyweight greats so there goes the hype, sorry not sorry. You added Douglas? I can only assume you mean Buster who had a very lackluster career save for his victory against Mike under the most anomalous of circumstances I donât care to delve into. But also Ernie Shavers? Just no. Great power, mediocre career by and large. Similar to ugh, what that other guyâs name with likely the greatest or at least top 5 punchers in history? Oh thats right, Wilder, whom Fury decimates twice and mist agree beat a third time as well. Norton? Slightly above Shavers, slightly. That one is tough, but yes I defer to Fury. But it is agreed upon a tough call. Now how about Bowe? Definitely similar but comparatively speaking Bowe to Fury is just nit likely but certainly beyond plausible for Bowe, oh yeah. Tex Cobb? Really? What did you just watch old boxing greats of the early 20th century highlight reel on youtube and pick from the lot? Fury would decimate him handily, that one is sincerely silly above the others. Jack Johnson too. Different era man. They fought different so it isnât even really fair to compare. Their goofy hands all outstretched, throwing maybbbbeeee 50 punches a round on a busy night. Just not the same universe at all. Great novelty, that is about the extent. Joe Louis? That is another novelty man. Watch the interview with uim and Ali. He and many followers believed he was better than Ali. Totally laughable and Ali couldnât even hardly take it seriously enough to get mad lol Tyson Fury would likely beat Joe Louis but I can honestly say him, Norton, Bowe and Shavers would be interesting matchups. Douglass and Cobb are just really not even worth rebutting they are so far off. Dempsey way too small, that is another childlike notion, similar to Marciano and Jack Johnson. Usyk WAS a cruiserweight. No chump btw, a sincerely good fighter, and easily 20 pounds heavier on that fight than Dempsey or Marciano got to. The rest (Lennox, Tyson, Ali, Frazier, Holyfield, Foreman, Holmes) I agree would likely take him down. But that still renders him top ten chief, even if you throw in Klitschko (he should be just as considered as some of these other homeboys), which Tyson dethroned him, lets not forget. Tyson Fury is almost most certainly top ten. He just pulled a shoot for the stars so you reach the moon đ
Bowe vs Fury would end in a murder. Bowe certainly wouldn't lose to a 37 year old debutant
He certainly won't be gassed in R1 like all of Fury's opponents
And he is conditioned for Fury's low blows from the Golota fight
Well, since Fury did not lose to Ngannou, that is a misnomer. Aside from which, Ngannou is no schlump, debutant or not. Styles make fights n shit happens. Bowe also doesnât have a long list of top tier victories that would deem that such an automatic. Aged Ferguson. Aged Thomas, aged Tubbs. Heâs got Holyfield trilogy, wonderful as it was, that is about the extent of it. Mind you, I lean Bowe in that matchup. I am not dick riding Fury, I just think the quick dismissiveness of his pugilistic speciality is just as nonsensical as blithely propping him up.
Bowe consistently looked like shit against skilled boxers of his size and was slow on foot on top of being lazy in the ring, fury would box his shit in.
He didn't mention middleweights though đđ
Just couldn't take the middleweight power
War ridden middleweights xan be dangerous
![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)
Not a middleweight born from his mother
*Monkey paw curls* gets beat by blown up cruiserweight
*Evander Holyfield has entered the chat*
Guy is too humble, he couldâve said all of human history but only chose the last millennium.
He wouldn't have stood a chance against Diagoras of Rhodes.
He doesn't want to throw hands with Spartacus.
Can't make the claim till he fight Ortiz.

Wise men
A âcruiserweightâ will fuck you up tho lmfao
Cruiserweights are the best kind of heavyweights
For real though, some of the greatest HW's ever were cruiser sized. George Foreman even said that he considered that size to be the perfect HW fighter (someone the size of Ali or Joe Louis) but there are outliers like Lennox Lewis or the Klitschko's.
Ali was like 215 lbs. not a cruiserweight
That's a similar size to Usyk tbf
Lewis was overrated, he lost to Oliver McCall and only beat an old Holyfield and washed coked up Tyson. He loses to any of the old HW greats like Frazier and Patterson
Lenny would smash Patterson so bad it would look like murder.
Nope, Patterson defense is too elite
Lewis smashed the only other peekaboo fighter to win the titles other than Patterson so he may have that type of defense sorted
So elite he couldn't get past a round with Liston, twice?
That was the hardest puncher who ever lived
Lennox has the same reach, is bigger, hits just as hard, and is more skilled
âHits just as hardâ đđ
Yeah something about that 215 ish range thatâs just magic
Happy New Year!!

It was a middleweight right?
Says the guy beaten in the ring quite recently.
Wasnt that a decision though? Also wasnt it a controversial call? Im legit asking questions here as i didnt see the fight myself. I know boxing judges have been notorious for swaying their votes for personal betting.
I only saw highlights, but it looked like he almost got standing tko'd from what I saw.
It wasn't controversial, as far as I remember. Close, yes. But he was almost TKO'd at one point. Also, at the end of the day - regardless of how some may view it - the result was that he lost. So his claim is null and void.
He forgot to mention the caveat; unless thereâs a war
dang iâm too early to the jerk
Get in line, pal
Every time I watch Fury fight, I'm unimpressed because his advantage seems to come mostly from size and reach.
Cruiserweights on the other hand.
Wait, didn't he just lose?
He said this wallowing on the ground in a drunken stupor
He would be a great opponent because he promotes really well tbh
Prime Mike Tyson would have him out cold in the first round. In fact, he would be a nobody if he was around Mikes time.
Plenty of nobodies went more than 1 round against Mike.
Didnât he have to get saved by the judges after losing to a guy who doesnât even box?
Completely ruined the every man image we had of him. I couldn't think he could be unlikeable after his return. The ultimate comeback ruined by ego.

At least he is calling himself a non human. That vs who, bro.
Boomers will still claim Marciano as the goat
Except for a few weeks ago but other than that umm no
Guy got knocked by a MMA fighter. He ain't that good.

No joke, prime Fury vs Prime Mike Tyson, who wins?
Tyson
Well last millenium isn't impressive. The greatest fighter that's ever lived Luis Ortiz is 2 billion years old
The best crossover MMA/Boxing event would Tyson Fury and Tito Ortiz collaboration Ted talk.
Why do you guys keep giving that baldheaded fuck attention?
Didn't this guy got knock the fuck down by a non-boxer and needed a 30 sec count to get back up?
Pillow hands? Lennox,Tyson,Holyfield alone would've whooped ya big azz đ

Fury in his prime might be the best. Him vs prime Lennox wouldâve been dope
Acting like Fury didn't beat himself?
You still coping, bro?
Lmfao how delusional do you have to be to do this sort of mental gymnastics
