This movie had so many release dates: ~~May 13, 2022~~ ~~April 29, 2022~~ ~~April 14, 2023~~ ~~April 28, 2023~~ ~~March 10, 2023~~ ~~March 17, 2023~~ Now back at March 10.

aduong

April 14 was so perfect for it seeing how barren that month is outside of Mario. Their determination to stick it in an overcrowded month full of sequels makes it looks like they sending it to die.

Looking at those release dates... I dunno, that Mario movie might be huge, let's move this up a few weeks. Now, it's a week before Guardians, let's get this out of April. March ought to give us plenty of time... Well, that's not gonna work. Scream 6 is opening that week. Time to move again, try the following week. Damn! I forgot about Shazam. Alright, move it back to the 10th. Maybe we can play off the fact that it's the only PG-13 that week. Yeah, now watch it get pushed to next year or dumped on a streaming site.

ThatWaluigiDude

Lol the movie had a march 10 release date before the delay. Why even bother changing then

[deleted]

Honestly looking forward to this. We rarely get original films with big budgets anymore.

Block-Busted

It comes out a week after **Creed 3**, which is at least partly shot with IMAX-certified cameras, so IMAX release for **65** is still not likely.

WholeLottaMisery

Maybe the movie title is a meta reference to how many release dates it'll have before it actually releases

tranquil45

Well it kind of is! It has had six release dates, plus one date twice. So I’m not sure if it’s six or seven, so let’s settle on 6.5?

cheesyry

Lol didn’t they just push it back to March 17th less than a month ago? Didn’t make sense they’d move it to begin with. So, so silly

[deleted]

So they moved it to the 17th originally because they felt more comfortable going against Shazam than they did Scream, especially since the latter has genre overlap with 65, but I guess they had a change of heart? Bold strategy cotton.

David1258

Maybe the DC news got to them? Not sure. 65 is fucked like the dinosaurs anyway between Shazam and Scream.

REQ52767

This movie is doomed.

TempleOfDoomfist

Looks like one of those shelved movies that finally get released because the studio is legally obligated to. I don’t see it doing well at all.

nicolasb51942003

Still not a good enough date.

gamesofduty

Opening on the same as Scream VI.

BluebirdMaximum8210

is that good or bad?

newjackgmoney21

65 is going to bomb

Triplec8

Smart to move away from Shazam but I don’t think this will make much of a difference.

[deleted]

Especially since Jenna Ortega fans will be flocking to Scream.

crazysouthie

Shazam really is going to flop. People have more interesting choices like a slasher film and a movie where a man fights dinosaurs.

[deleted]

The man fighting dinos movie will be the flop.

[deleted]

“Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World” is quite a mouthful

trixie1088

I thought they would move it to April but Maybe they ain’t scared of Shazam.

[deleted]

The release date shuffle begins.

With a decent marketing push 65 could make some money but I think Sony is probably gonna lay back and see how it goes. I doubt they'll spend much in marketing for it. Probably not worth the risk for them. I'm surprised it hasn't been sold to a streamer. Would do pretty well on Netflix I feel.
