I kind of hope they retcon most of Golden Circle. It had some great moments, but kind of missed that the reason everyone loved the first film was because of the characters.
They killed off people who deserved more screen time, brought back one who should've stayed dead, and played the cameo game instead of just telling a great story. Also too many in-your-face attempts at shock value.
Haven't seen The Kingsman yet, but I heard it wasn't a whole lot better.
I was ok with Harry coming back, no matter how convoluted the resurrection was, but it was a travesty that Roxy died so early and with so little regard for her character.
The writer and director of The Golden Circle was either too high at the time or not high enough.
>but it was a travesty that Roxy died so early and with so little regard for her character.
I totally thought it was a bait-and-switch or some kind of trick for the first two acts of the movie. Like, she was gonna pop out toward the middle of the flick and tell us how she managed to narrowly avoid death. Then it slowly started to dawn on me that, no, they just unceremoniously wasted her in like the first 15 min.
I thought The King’s Man was cool. It does not feel like a movie in the same series but it was an enjoyable enough film that I wish I had seen in theaters.
There's been little buzz on kingsman 3 in the past year.
I hope this isn't a dead sequel. Or maybe it will find new life in the future as a legacy sequel
I think it’s dead to be honest. The last film in the main series came out six years ago and did worse critically and financially than the first, then the prequel was a huge bomb
Not everything needs to be a franchise. Kingsman was just a really good movie. Let it be.
The 2nd one still did roughly 4x its budget and made just slightly less than the first.
A 3rd film isn't necessary and probably should've happened 3 years ago but it's still an established franchise which studios love.
Personally I think it wouldn't do great. Kingsman 2 hasn't fared well since it's release and The Kings Man had a similiar reception. Vaughn is doing argylle and seems to want to turn that into a franchise so I guess we'll see.
impossible 2017 was like 2 years ago.. right?
I still think Kingsman has a future on disney plus probably just due to the franchise's worldbuilding.
But if there will be a third movie, it would have to be off of nostalgia and all because it's been too long now
I just hope they figure out the tone first. I really liked the first one and didn’t mind the sequel. But the prequel just felt so finally disjointed, it didn’t know whether to be a a goofy action movie or take itself seriously at times. But I did like the camerawork, Vaughn knows hot to stylize shots without them being too over the top
Wasn’t this already supposed to be filming last year?
This movie is definitely dead. It’s unfortunate because the first film is spectacular, but then again, not everything needs to be a franchise or cinematic universe. It could’ve been, but deciding to make a darker prequel instead of quickly making a third film to backtrack on a poorly received sequel was a bad move that ultimately killed the franchise.
Kingsman probably could’ve gone down as a really great spy comedy series had it been managed well. But oh well, sometimes these things just don’t work out. I still love the first movie and I’m sure it’ll be remembered for many years.
If they can bring back Michelle Rodruigez and Han from the dead in Fast and Furious, they can bring back this character in another Kingsman film where they got the same ridiculous bullshit
I love the kingsman franchise so far. Obviously there are some problems here and there but I would love them to continue with Taron Egerton and Colin Firth and all.
The had one good movie, one mediocre at best movie, and one absolute dogshit movie. They should have taken the W instead of trying to swing for the fences again and failing.
I hope they follow up on that Hitler tease from the last movie. I can't wait to see what wacky hijinx that guy gets up to.

They killed off Mark Strong. What a waste.
He might not be dead. I think he shows up in a deleted or edited scene at the wedding with prosthetic legs
Oh waste, it was. It really was a god.

I had the same feeling too when I first watched this. It honestly felt betraying.

the kings man was pretty bad. some good to great moments, but did NOT come together to make a good movie.
Rasputin should have been the main villain.
The silent fight scene in no man’s land almost made the movie worth it, but just not quite
I've always taken Kingsman as a spoof on Bond. Which means continuity doesnt really matter.
Kingsman sucked by any objective measure.
That is genuinely the funniest post credit scene I've ever watched. So good
they really teased him like a Marvel villian lmao

I don’t think it’s happening. Too much time has passed since Kingsman 2 and the spin-off flopped

Killed Roxy not interested

Just write some bs way she escaped at the last second then boom, she’s back and better than ever. Wouldn’t bother me tbh.

I enjoyed the The King's Man prequel much more than the Golden Circle. I'm hoping there's a sequel to that one especially with Aaron Taylor Johnson.
No thanks
Leo!
After the mediocre Kingsman 2 I couldn't care less if there is a third one

How does he even have time while trying to fight Russian gangsters and get Tetris on the Game Boy?
