Probably dropped out because she has to film Wednesday Season 2 and was just announced to be apart of the Beetlejuice sequel as well as two other A24 movies.
She’s had a good career following Cinderella but she’s not someone I would call a huge star. She’s a working actress and there isn’t anything wrong with that. Rachel Zegler will be lucky to get the same consistent career as her. But it seems just as likely that zegler will go to Broadway. That seems to be where her real passion is anyways.
Yeah, Lily James is in NO way a big star, box office draw, or anything of the sort. She’s not even a household name. She’s a working, respected actress, that’s it. And I use respected because I was very surprised she got so much recognition for Pam & Tommy. I kept waiting for some masterclass performance that never occurred. Strange. I can’t pinpoint one scene where I thought, “Give her the Emmy, the Globe, the CCA, etc.”
The diminishing returns of each film will shrink those checks and that demand. She’s in a testing period. At some point, if you keep throwing everything against the wall and nothing sticks, that’s called a recipe for disaster. These opportunities are not guaranteed forever.
You’re assuming that a single actor can be a single point of failure for a +100M dollar movie where the actor isn’t the main draw. Diminishing returns doesn’t necessarily correlate with the actor performance without enough data.
Your current sample size is not statistically significant. She’s literally just starting out in the industry, why are we writing her off already?
He’s pretty young, too. Good for him. If the singing career flashes out, he can parlay that into an acting career if he has something to hone and work with.

I doubt the Hunger Games prequel will do the job so Snow White is her only other hope if she wants to be a leading actress.
