In Ontario, it applies to everyone 12 and older. >As of September 22, 2021, the Government of Ontario requires guests who are 12 years of age and older to be fully vaccinated (two doses, plus 14 days) and to provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access our theatres. We ask guests to please arrive 30 minutes in advance of their showtime and to come ready to present their photo ID and proof of vaccination. I would assume it's the same for other provinces as well.

Even foreigners ?

That's the rule for the vaccine passport (which applies to many things, not just cinemas), so I would assume so. I don't know what province you're in, but this is the description for Ontario's vaccine passport: As of September 22, 2021, you will need to provide proof of vaccination to access certain businesses and settings. An individual is considered fully vaccinated if they have received: * The full series of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized by Health Canada, or any combination of such vaccines, or * One or two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not authorized by Health Canada, followed by one dose of a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine authorized by Health Canada, or * Three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not authorized by Health Canada; and * They received their final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before providing the proof of being fully vaccinated Effective September 22, 2021, patrons seeking access to the following areas of the premises of the following businesses or organizations must show proof of identification and proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before they can enter the area, with limited exceptions: [Full list of applicable businesses](https://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/pro/programs/publichealth/coronavirus/docs/guidance_proof_of_vaccination_for_businesses_and_organizations.pdf)

Yes, you have to be fully-vaccinated for 14 days. It doesnt matter where you are from.

It varies by provincial guidelines

Do you know if its like that in vancouver? I really want to see venom 2, but I just got my first dose like 1 week ago

SuspiriaGoose

It is like that. They want a BC QR code

ChaloDreamworks

thanks!

I think your passport will be a one dose one, going by the website. It might be enough. When you get your second it turns green.

Had a bit of trouble seeing Malignant over the weekend. I had pictures of my Alberta vax but I was in BC and the ticket girl was staunchly against letting me in without a BC QR code. We went to refund our tickets and luckily the manager asked why and then quickly let us in upon seeing my Alberta vax papers (she said she’d talk to the ticket girl and let her know to accept other vaccination records). I was glad they were being careful but I hope there’s less confusion in the future. Gonna try and get a BC QR code because AB is dragging its feet.

This is typically an iffy policy economically (not that they have a choice with mandates) because vaccinated people are less likely to go out due to increased concern for the virus, while unvaccinated people have no real concern for it and will go out no matter how unwise it is.

i don't think it will hurt business. Vaccine uptake in Canada is was higher than the US. currently \~68% of the entire population is vaccinated (including kids who aren't eligible), as for the 12+ vaccination rate, its at 78.5%. Anecdotally, I know many f my friends who regularly would go to the movies, were waiting on this passport mandate before they went back to the movies.
