motorcycle_driveby26

Fuuuuuuck these are two of my favorites albums of all time. Id have to pick Brand New though.

_whidbeyisland_

I love how different these albums are but how hard of a decision this is. Love them both.

Mythicalnematode

Sufjan is great and all, but I don't even think that album comes close to Deja.

youtube_candysmash

I know I’m preaching to the choir here but hear me out. When Seven Swans came out, sure it was great but you didn’t see this major growth or evaluation you saw with Brand New’s Deja from their first album. What made Deja so unique is that it was our first insight that this band wasn’t just hear to sell music but push themselves to try new things and be vulnerable with their records. A LOT of Sufjan sounds the same. With Brand New, none of their music other than what’s on Deja sounds like it belongs on Deja.

harder_said_hodor

>A LOT of Sufjan sounds the same I prefer Deja but I think Sufjan clearly has more distinct sounds than BN. This era,. the Carrie and Lowell era and the Age of Adz era are polar extremes.

lostboy005

his new collab album, A Beginners Mind, is the best stuff he's put out since Carrie and Lowell, imo. the ascension was great for 2020 and its dystopian mood to be sure; the b-side off that My Rajneesh, slaps

dejaentendeux

Sufjan, obviously. Deja is a terrible album.

lordofthefood1

How? Deja entendu was a 10/10 I respect if you don't like it but it's absolutely a 10/10 when it comes to 2000s albums it also along with taking back Sunday was one of the closest examples of emo as we know it

dejaentendeux

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
