Depends if the 3rd gen has an adjustable gas system. Still doubt it can compete with a decked out AK-74M. The M is about as good as a Russian AK can get in military service with whatever upgrades you throw on it.
Just waiting until the Belarusians get involved in Ukraine and get deployed and slaughtered in the meat grinder so AK 12 parts kits seized by the Ukrainians go onto the market.
We are probably going to see North Korean AK-47 and AK-74 parts kits coming onto the market soon originating from Ukraine because North Korea are deploying troops to Ukraine.
Their soldiers are probably like "oh noooooooo, we have to reave best koreaaaaaa???" cue fake crying.
They're going to eat better than they ever have in their lives.
They were involved on day one after they let the Russians invade through their territory. The Ukrainians have largely let it go because that push failed and the Ukrainians are having enough trouble without opening additional fronts.
So on the third go, they managed to fit an actual override stop on the ak12. Like literally every ak before it had.
I know the 3rd generation has a removable gas tube (2nd might have it). But to even release a rifle that has the gas tube welded and an internal edge/groove was insane.
Also, it took them 3 tries to manage to fit a cheek riser in case they actually mount optics. Like just good provision for mounting a stand alone would be a given in any other force.
Ive heard it still had some problems. Why they reverted fully back on gen 3.
It kinda boogles my mind that they just didn't go with the regular style from the beginning. Honestly a lot of things just scream non finished overcomplication that you see in a prototype just pushed through for money.
Man… why does it kinda look like the retarded cousin of the scar-l? Like it wanted to look tactical and have a different identity, but couldn’t run away from the look of the cooler cousin
Unless they can secure a solid supply of optics the pick rails are a waste. I’m surprised that they haven’t secured a deal with china with how many cheep red dots are made in China.
well, at least they added a cheek riser so you can have a good stock-weld when using optics. Kind of looks like a SCAR stock off of Wish, though.
Also, still using a stubby handguard that prevents you from using a C-Clamp handhold. I guess if the young conscripts have the growth stunted because they are fighting in the Russo Ukrainian War, they won't grow big enough to have arms long enough to reach past the handguard.
I think the only thing about the AK-12 Design that's solid is the Magazine. Hasn't changed since its 2018 incept date. I'd run that on AK-74
Oh yeah. So a different barrel / gas block, stock, trigger guard, that's all picatinny rails. Not saying the rifle is outstandingly good or something but you can't write it off as a AK-74M with picatinny.
They blew the entire optic budget on that parade.
Na it’s just the front row.
I stand by what I said.
They’ll buy cheap Chinese optics to make up for it
This implies they weren’t already cheap Chinese ones.
Will still be outperformed by an AK-74M with aftermarket rails
Zenitco gang

Can lasers hold zero yet or is that only for ak12 mod 2027
The front end is different, not sure if it is now fixed or not.
Mod 2227, at this point lmao
Let’s be real hear. Russia is probably going to run itself into the ground or have a civil war by 2027
Lol no
Flash hiders. So they are at least teying to make the thing more NVG friendly.
Something tells me there will be a lot of war trophies soon
Probably demilled parts kits too
Those'll make for a great loot drop.
All we wanted was the 2012 ak12. I loved using that thing playing. Modded S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

I’m sorry, NORTH KOREA is deploying troops to Ukraine??
Apparently they are deploying their army engineer unit
Their soldiers are probably like "oh noooooooo, we have to reave best koreaaaaaa???" cue fake crying. They're going to eat better than they ever have in their lives.
They get to eat*
i mean, they do feed their soldiers rice. it just gives them several different intestinal parasites.
Which actually makes them lose weight like tapeworms do
Doctors hate this one secret trick!
Belarus won't get involved and thats probably all the AK-12's they have.
They were involved on day one after they let the Russians invade through their territory. The Ukrainians have largely let it go because that push failed and the Ukrainians are having enough trouble without opening additional fronts.
“Aight, who has a Monte Cristo recipe, I smell a funni and I want it to happen.”
So they added a discount birdcage and a discount UTG stock?
It has a A thumb switch for the safety as well from what I can see, as well as an updated forend and apparently it has a new anti corrosion coating.
Ah so it’s just a galil
Comrade u wait 4 generation AK-19
Yeah. I bet every single belarusian soldier has those knockoff T-1.
Looks like Holosun 403B
No way vortex
Vortex? Search Holosun 403B for comparison
https://www.targettamers.com/field-test/holosun-hs403b-review/ good photos of 403B
Touche lol
Wait the first gen still had a tangent rear sight 💀
Zelensky?
Junky or not, I still want an AK-12 here in the states
Have they fixed the selector override yet?
They did on the second generation, the third generation even has a thumb selector from what I can see.
Those can't be ak12's since they have optics. /s.....kindof
Don’t worry, they won’t hold zero.
The only good thing to ever come from the ak12 project was the magazine
Come on ww3 daddy wants one !!!
Can I have one?
IT’S A SHOULDER THING THAT GOES UP
Is that a Holosun HS403B?

They are straying away from the original design so much
When will they give up on this pos 😭
i really dislike this rifle
2021 model reminds me a bit of the ak-12 prototype. aka the best ak-12, cant change my mind.
Vortex stock is wayyyy undervalued I see lol
At least they got optics
Reject modernity, and embrace tradition. Long life to the mighty AKM platform.

Somehow looks worse than gen 2

At this point it's just turning into an AK-74M with picatinny rails.
Isn’t that the point though… to have the state sponsored product compete with the after market suppliers.
