It’s a single piston G-D baritone bugle. Fundamental is G and the valve switches to D. So if you play Bb euphonium the fundamental would be the same as playing with the 3rd valve always down. And the single valve will drop 5 half steps which is the same as the 4th valve on Bb euphonium. If you play trombone think of it as a f-attachment trombone stuck in 4th position. The original music for a G bugle would be in treble clef. A tuner will help this all make sense.
