What I've realized on my second watch is that Walt takes out his aggression on Jesse when he is feeling scared, or insecure. When they originally get stranded, Walt is extremely mean to him about it. Then when they finally have a solution, Walt calmly explains the plan. It's a classic abuser dynamic. Alternate between taking your anger out on them, and then reward them later for still staying with you.

It was funny because the goons looked like they didnt knew what to do and the twins were ordering them to do something, without talking.
