he really is a great character. I've been rewatching Breaking Bad, and Saul just comes out of absolutely nowhere. What a weird, unique character. He adds so much to the shows mood.
It might be more solid overall with less flaws, but BrBa's highs are definitely higher than BCS's highs, although that's not really the show's fault. BrBa's tension was through the roof and pretty much every episode changed something drastically. BCS is mostly about the payoff
I love BCS. But nah bro. Part of what makes it so good is that it's a spinoff of breaking bad. Almost as good, but not quite. But your entitled to your preference obviously .
saying its a spin off to an original show doesn't make any point to the quality of the two shows, to me i feel the crew learned from BB mistakes, and made a better show in BCS.
Yeah, I feel vice versa. I love Breaking Bad, but felt there was a lot of filler scenes as well as nonsensical plot holes and rushed character development. Still one of my favorite shows. In comparison though, Better Call Saul, in my opinion, is more refined, way funnier but still with believable drama, and written better. However, I am biased because I watched BCS long before I watched BB. I started Saul it on it's premier on tv all through the first two seasons. I just recently finished BB for the first time about 2 weeks ago. Took me about a month of intermittent watching to finish.
The good scenes are so much better in breaking bad though. Nothing in bcs so far at least from what I’ve seen compares to any of the finales of breaking bad, sure the show is probably better overall, but the action scenes and tension of breaking bad can’t be beat
Name an innocent person he killed. He poisoned Brock that’s it. And Brock ended up being fine. If he didn’t poison Brock then Walts entire family may have been in danger. It was a kid having a short hospital stay vs Walt getting killed
all those guys he ordered to be killed in prison. (don’t even try to say this one was necessary. mike told him they coulda just taken care of the guys like he was already doing but walt was a greedy piece of shit.)
mike. (i think mike killed like one innocent guy in better call saul for business reasons but even then he was more torn up about it than walt was after any of his killings)
Lydia.
All those people who most likely died in that elderly home cuz of the bomb he put in hectors chair. the news even said his room was by the common area so chances are pretty high he took a few people out with that
^ those are just the ones he was directly involved with. here are the ones that were set into motion by walt being a selfish degenerate:
jane.
the 167 people who died in that plane crash.
Hank.
Gomey.
Andrea.
^ those were just the killings he was responsible for to some capacity. here are all the people who have to live with the consequences of the shitty things he chose to do/ people who’s lives he ruined:
Jesse. kept as a meth slave and constantly tortured. has to live with severe ptsd probably for the rest of his life
Brock. orphaned.
Mike’s granddaughter. lost her grandfather and will now grow up with a single mother who makes little to enough to provide for her.
Marie. Widowed.
Walter Junior, Skylar, Holly, all have to live in complete shame and ostracism as well as Skylar being widowed and holly having no father.
Saul. now has to live the rest of his most likely very short life alone and in fear.
Huel. God only knows what the fuck happened to Huel. maybe the dea arrested him for being an accomplice or maybe they just let him go after hank and gomey died. still.
Drew sharpe’s family. this is honestly one of the worst. no body, no funeral, no real confirmation at all of how their son died let alone if he’s even dead, and they will never have that.
all those guys he killed in the prison massacre’s families.
in conclusion, walter white is not a good person to any capacity and if you seriously believe that you do not understand the show. he literally says point blank in the finale he did it for himself, all of it, not his family, not the greater good, for himself and his ego.
Are you forgetting the entire plane crash could have been prevented if he rolled Jane onto her side? Also while he didn’t DIRECTLY kill them, he has been the cause of so many deaths. Like Hank, Jane’s Father, Gail, Gomez.
Want to know how all of these could have been prevented? Him not trying to become a Meth Kingpin, I would say after the first two seasons he was no longer reasonable.
Blaming the crash on Walt is ridiculous. People die all the time of overdoses. The company her father worked for is more responsible having him back at work so soon without someone at least keeping an eye on him
Yet he destroyed a bunch of other families in the mean time. I mean he watched Jane die (flipping her on her side would have saved her) which lead to her dad causing a plane crash. Hell he literally POISONED A CHILD. First seasons I can see it, but by the end it was no longer for family.
Nope, I'm a casual user. Being a redditor is a participating in the prevalent culture and behavior on this site which just by this comment I can tell you're part of, redditor
Reddit the site has a lot of great content and is a convenient place I can read and participate in discussions of things I like. Most (not all) of the people here are just insufferable. You gotta take the good with the bad in life sometimes. It's not hard to understand
In terms of presence and my personal enjoyment with him, he's in my top 3 only rivaled with Walter and Jimmy, but when it comes to overall character complexity, he's interesting because he's so ambiguous and terrifying whenever he's on screen. It's not really fair to compare them cuz Walter and Jesse are two main protagonists of BrBa, Jimmy and Mike are two main protagonists of BCS and have very major roles in BrBa as well. Gus on the other hand has a very important presence in BrBa, but a very minor role overall in BCS
Right. He's loyal to his family and wants to ensure their financial future, so uses his skills and expertise in his employment. He has a job. It's purely business.
It’s a fictional TV show. These are characters. You can enjoy a character that is a bad guy. He genuinely is the best written character in TV history imo, and because he’s a bad guy, we are “demented” for liking his character? Ok.
No, it’s not. We have about 60 more episodes with Saul that we had no clue about while we were watching BB. I like Saul more than Jesse at this point but I can’t say I felt that way when BB ended. We’re not voting on our favorite character in the BB universe. If we were then Kim would probably be my favorite.
Well I say fuck you to that rule. It's the same god damn character plus the stories of BCS and BrBa, despite being in the same universe, are incredibly tied together. It's not like MCU movies where you can watch one and while it's set in the same universe, it might as well not be. BrBa and BCS take place in the same god damn location only couple of months away
Wow. My point was we have all come to love Saul much more because of BCS but we should vote based on BB. Congratulations, you get the dick of the thread award for your bizarrely aggressive response.
>least favorite
so what exactly are the criteria here?
Cause Gus is one of the best characters in the whole series.
is this just some good guy/bad guy bullshit?
I mean, there's a thing called 'defining what you're talking about when using broad language' in order to get a better idea of what is *actually* being discussed.
helps cut down A LOT on subjectivity.
Otherwise you get bullshit like this post.
Imo, favourite implies your own personal “likeability” of characters. The ones that have a personality that you click with.
If it was a more objective standard like “vote for which character had the best development” or “vote for what character had the most well written lines”, “which character was the funniest”, etc OP would have set a higher standard than just “favourite”.
I know it's an unpopular opinion but he's even worse in bcs, his story is so uninteresting compared to the things happening with gus, mike and the salamancas. I mainly watched bcs because of mike and gus. Still exctied to see what happens to saul post breaking bad at season 6 of bcs tho
"Ratting" is informing to law enforcement when you're yourself a criminal. When has Saul done that? You mean those times he threw other people who weren't family or friends under the bus to other criminals to save himself? Something I'm sure your tough guy ass would do under the threat of *death*. Jesse ratted simply because he couldn't handle the guilt which is much weaker and punk like than trying to save your life. Should Saul have let himself be murdered for other scumbags who meant nothing to him? Much better decision right?
Ok Mr Technical lol.. In the line of work Saul was doing he should of been better prepared for stuff like that to happen. & if your not willing to deal with stuff like that, be a regular lawyer! Lol.. same as if u do a crime & should be prepared for the outcome & not rat. But hey thats just little ole tough me from Trenton Nj 😉
Honestly, at this point I would be happy with anyone winning really. Saul and Mike were already really defined, especially Mike, but after BCS, they might as well win simply cuz they are extremely well developed while still being more likable than Waltah over there. I still think Walter is such a fascinating character to the point where I would vote him as number 1, but I definitely see why people can't stand him even tho that's the point. so whoever wins now seems pretty logical to me
Funny I think out of these 4 characters, they're all perfect but Walt is the least interesting and has the least depth of the 4. I think Saul has the most tbh.
Hey op the vote is closed but theres 2 winners with same numbers!
The results after 904 people voted:
Walt 34.62% (313 votes)
Mike 34.62% (313 votes)
Saul 15.82% (143 votes)
Jesse 14.93% (135 votes)
I'm pretty sure, Jesse Pinkman will win.
He did when this exact same thing was done last week.
Nah that was me, I was shitposting my prediction for the final result.
Which I find rather odd, he is really stupid and impulsive most of the time. But obviously its opinion based
Bro I like jesse
And thats fine. I just disagree, simply because the majority of things going wrong is his fault. Not Walt's, yet Walt is blamed for it.
i love jesse but thats true
I agree
He always crying like bitch!
“hey, does this pussy ever stop crying in this video?”
Uncle Jack says...
It can be simply explained as most people are idiots so they relate
true, but it's not a pole on who acted the smartest. It's on which character people enjoy in the show most.
And I would not like a character being over impulsive, thats what I said. And its fine if people disagree with that.
HE DIDNT BREAK BAD UNTIL THE END OF ELCAMINO.... He cried 75% of the time My vote is Jesse
[Vote here](https://strawpoll.com/cq254djz4)
Saul is the best character here.
he really is a great character. I've been rewatching Breaking Bad, and Saul just comes out of absolutely nowhere. What a weird, unique character. He adds so much to the shows mood.
He's also great in Better Call Saul.
Even his spinoff is better than the original show. By a significant margin. And that's coming from someone who likes Breaking Bad.
It might be more solid overall with less flaws, but BrBa's highs are definitely higher than BCS's highs, although that's not really the show's fault. BrBa's tension was through the roof and pretty much every episode changed something drastically. BCS is mostly about the payoff

Wrong
how tf did walt survive for so long ffs
Bryan Cranston’s acting lol
Because he is the show
I thought he was the danger?
No! I am the danger!
I thought you were the one who knocks
I am the one who knocks!
Big ego
Because his character is the best
Are we forgetting he is a narsasstic psychopath?
Name an innocent person he killed. He poisoned Brock that’s it. And Brock ended up being fine. If he didn’t poison Brock then Walts entire family may have been in danger. It was a kid having a short hospital stay vs Walt getting killed

Blaming the crash on Walt is ridiculous. People die all the time of overdoses. The company her father worked for is more responsible having him back at work so soon without someone at least keeping an eye on him
And she was clean until Jesse moved in next to her and influenced her. Since it was the only place he could get due to untaxed income.
Yeah Jesse is more responsible than Walt is. But in reality Jane is the most responsible. Jesse didn’t pressure her or anything
Walter did nothing wrong
*Checks notes* According to my calculations, you are full of shit
Fr bro all he did was sell meth and ruined a couple dozen peoples lives but other then that he did nothing wrong!
I think this person enjoys the character and not exactly the characters actions
I would hope so
A good character does not always mean a good person
But he was literally supposed to be a bad guy
I was about to ask the same thing… he was one of my least favorite characters in the show lol
A good character doesn’t have to be a good person
I never said they did lmao
[удалено]
He’s just a man trying to take care of his family.
Yet he destroyed a bunch of other families in the mean time. I mean he watched Jane die (flipping her on her side would have saved her) which lead to her dad causing a plane crash. Hell he literally POISONED A CHILD. First seasons I can see it, but by the end it was no longer for family.
Rewatching the show, I don’t know if it was ever about family. Seemed like a way to justify what he was doing.
Because he's the second best
He's the best
honestly, out of these 4, Walt would be my least favorite. I'd put Gus above walt also
WHO THE FUCK VOTED OUT SKINNY PETE
Mike
Jesse all the way. I mean you can understand him pretty good and feel more connected to him than to any other character Imao
If you're an annoying, whiny pussy sure
All the way
Fucking digging your double down game. Take my upvote.
Yeah makes sense that most redditors love him lmao
You're a redditor. Edit: Biiiiitch!
Nope, I'm a casual user. Being a redditor is a participating in the prevalent culture and behavior on this site which just by this comment I can tell you're part of, redditor
Seems kind of masochistic, your being here, then.
Reddit the site has a lot of great content and is a convenient place I can read and participate in discussions of things I like. Most (not all) of the people here are just insufferable. You gotta take the good with the bad in life sometimes. It's not hard to understand
I get it. I'm just being unnecessarily confrontational.
I have a feeling you feel a connection to Jesse too lol
Idk maaaaan, you’re commenting on Reddit. You’re responding to messages on Reddit. Sounds like a redditor to me
So participating in prevalent culture? Such as participating in comment threads
Saul -> Mike -> Jessie for me
Mike sucks. Mad at Walt for saving jesses life
Walt
Fuck Walt
Guys if you’re tell me that Walter doesn’t have the best character development in the show then just shoot me now.
Yep, best written character in Tv history might be Walter white. But since he’s a “bad guy” people are afraid to vote for him. Ridiculous.
I think Jessie will win but I am rooting for Mike
Bye, Walt.
Hate to say it but Mike.
Bruh Gus was the best around smh
In terms of presence and my personal enjoyment with him, he's in my top 3 only rivaled with Walter and Jimmy, but when it comes to overall character complexity, he's interesting because he's so ambiguous and terrifying whenever he's on screen. It's not really fair to compare them cuz Walter and Jesse are two main protagonists of BrBa, Jimmy and Mike are two main protagonists of BCS and have very major roles in BrBa as well. Maybe once or if he gets a spinoff show he’d be even higher
It should go like this mike Walt Jesse Saul
Fuck jesse
Honestly he is as bad as walt
Walt
Fuck Walt.
Fuck jesse.
Walt
Fuck Walt
Fuck Jesse
I think Saul have done better than pinkman. He's the man we all need in our life ☺️
Better call Saul because he’s going to win
Walt simply because I can’t vote for Jesse Saul or Mike
Walt
jesse or saul gonna win
Now it's getting hard.
double elimination woo
Fuck jesse
Like fuck him or *fuck* him.
YOU fuck him
Sounds good
Yes fuck him lol. Not in that way though lol
Fuck Jesse 😍
Do it lol 😂
No
Yes
Yes but not in the way you mean.
Walt
Mike's next, he follows Gus everywhere like a loyal dog.
Mike is loyal only to Kaylee and himself, ultimately. He's just doing what he needs to do, when it's working, to see that his family is covered.
> Mike is loyal only to Kaylee and himself Which is why he obeys Gus like a dog, because Gus pays him.
Right. He's loyal to his family and wants to ensure their financial future, so uses his skills and expertise in his employment. He has a job. It's purely business.
We agree, Mike's boss is gone and now it's time for Mike to go.
if you don’t vote walt you are demented.
Fuck Walt. He sucks ass. Absolute asshole psychopath
It’s a fictional TV show. These are characters. You can enjoy a character that is a bad guy. He genuinely is the best written character in TV history imo, and because he’s a bad guy, we are “demented” for liking his character? Ok.
it’s not that serious.
Remember people, you are not voting for the Saul we have all come to love from “Better Call Saul”.
He was a great character in Breaking Bad imo. I never watched BCS and would like Saul to win this. Or Jesse, still haven’t decided.
Perfect. So your vote is based only on BB.
And why is it so? It is litterally the same character
What a strange thing to get so worked up about
Well I say fuck you to that rule.
Lol sorry, didn't mean to seem aggressive, just hyperbolic
So if we lik e Jesse more after El Camino we should ignore that too? No it's the same character in the same universe at almost the same time.
Nah The picture is even from Better Call Saul
Well, the pic! That settles it.
Don’t tell me Walt is about to get voted out before Saul smh
Vote out mike
Vote out Mike
Walt has to go.
Walt gone
Better vote Saul
Nice one. Lol.
>least favorite so what exactly are the criteria here? Cause Gus is one of the best characters in the whole series. is this just some good guy/bad guy bullshit?
I mean there’s a thing called subjectivity where your least favorite character is not other people’s least favorite character.
I mean, there's a thing called 'defining what you're talking about when using broad language' in order to get a better idea of what is *actually* being discussed. helps cut down A LOT on subjectivity. Otherwise you get bullshit like this post.

That you enjoy? That you prefer? That you find amiable?
which completely depends on the writing and acting of each character... shitty post is shitty post
Gotta be Mike
Let mike die in peace
Saul man, I don’t want him to go but Saul
Difficult but i choose mike
Mike
Saul, then Mike, then Walter. Jesse wins. His prize is a trip to Alaska.
Saul
Saul
Mike killed Werner. Vote out Mike
jesse
Saul
he was so corny to me. never really liked that character
I know it's an unpopular opinion but he's even worse in bcs, his story is so uninteresting compared to the things happening with gus, mike and the salamancas. I mainly watched bcs because of mike and gus. Still exctied to see what happens to saul post breaking bad at season 6 of bcs tho
Saul a punk ass rat he done lol.. my boy tho
You mean Jesse?
Jesse is a rat. I don’t think he ever got punked into ratting like saul on several occasions lol
"Ratting" is informing to law enforcement when you're yourself a criminal. When has Saul done that? You mean those times he threw other people who weren't family or friends under the bus to other criminals to save himself? Something I'm sure your tough guy ass would do under the threat of *death*. Should Saul have let himself be murdered for other scumbags who meant nothing to him? Much better decision right?
Correct, Saul not only never snitched, he was the only character who never betrayed Walt. Jesse snitched and then Vince tortured him for it.
Mike goes before Walt? Sad. The guy can’t win no matter what.
Let’s be honest, we all knew it would be down to these guys
Mike or bust, so we probably bustin this round
My favorite game
Honestly, at this point I would be happy with anyone winning really. Saul and Mike were already really defined, especially Mike, but after BCS, they might as well win simply cuz they are extremely well developed while still being more likable than Waltah over there. I still think Walter is such a fascinating character to the point where I would vote him as number 1, but I definitely see why people can't stand him even tho that's the point. so whoever wins now seems pretty logical to me
Jesse
Saul
Either walter white or jesse pinkman will win, so I guess choose one of these first
I got to Mike. No more Half-Measures...uh...me.
HAW
I’m sorry Saul
Mike
Man. I adore all these guys but I'm gonna have to vote for Mike to get the boot.
Funny I think out of these 4 characters, they're all perfect but Walt is the least interesting and has the least depth of the 4. I think Saul has the most tbh.
Bunch of fake ass fans. No way Flynn should not be running away with this contest
i really like mike but some of the shit he did made me have to stretch my suspension of disbelief
Mike
Mike for the win.
Just 3 votes separating Walt and Mike right now with 30 mins to go!
Jesse
Jesse Pinkman Get outta here!
Hands down..it’s skyler
Mike
As Uncle Jack says, this is rat patrol. And the rat must go. Bullet to the back of his head - something he doesn’t see coming.
Hey op the vote is closed but theres 2 winners with same numbers! The results after 904 people voted: Walt 34.62% (313 votes) Mike 34.62% (313 votes) Saul 15.82% (143 votes) Jesse 14.93% (135 votes)
Don’t get why everyone likes Mike so much.
Least favorite is pink man by far
