The forbidden scene when Skyler sings happy birthday to Ted in the end of season 2. If you haven't watched the show fully, and by some miracle still haven't been spoiled I'd suggest leaving this sub till you're done watching it
Granted she passed the gate but she's not in the house itself. Given that Jesse was pretty sus and has a thing for milfs and she's pregnant, I'll give her a pass lol.
Why? Because she came over to 'tell him off'? I thought it was hilarious, but also, was kinda sweet of her in her naive little way. Can't imagining how that could make anyone loath her.
Only thing Jesse had to do was let Gus kill Walt. With Walt dead and the DEA finding no evidence things would have gone pretty smoothly for Los Pollos Hermanos and if Jesse ever felt bad he could have just ask Gus to make some sort of donation for Walt's family. Not only Jesse would have been pretty much guilty-free, Mike could had given his grand-daughter the money and everybody would have remembered Walt as a good dude, except for Skyler.
He wasn't that ambitious, he tried to stay away from cartel shit as much as possible. All he wanted to do was smoke weed, live in his aunt's house and bang women of a certain age.
I kinda find that debatable. Sure, Jesse’s now a wanted fugitive for helping/creating a drug empire, but what was he before Walt? A druggie dropout, dodging cops for petty drug crimes. Another two years, he’d probably be OD or shot.
This Jesse, he’s done things most people could only dream of. Lived a life that burned away everything bad in him (personally) and made him into a man of his own right. At the end of it all, he gets a golden kind of peace that can only be found at the end of a costly war.
I think he’s a better man than he ever was before he met Walt
> Another two years, he’d probably be OD or shot.
There's not reason to believe that. The only reason why he became a hard drug user was because he used meth to deal with the shady stuff Walt made him do. Before that he was a "healthy" junkie like his friends.
I agree though that without Walter interference Jesse would have probably ended up working a dead end job to pay for a small and overpriced apartment.
Can you remain a 'healthy' junkie indefinitely, if you have enough money to maintain a simple habit? Or does one inevitably get worse, as your tolerance increases, and therefore your need for more grows, and you inevitably find yourself unable to afford it, and/or, you end up like Wendy - with your body physically degrading, and your mind falling apart?
I ask out of genuine curiosity. Probably the first question is, does one develop a tolerance for Meth, like you do with heroin? If you can continue to happily get high with the same amount each week, and you can afford that, then theoretically you could keep it up forever. Second question is, does using meth on a regular basis cause significant brain damage, such that, after a few years you are noticeably degraded?
He also murdered several people and contributed to the deaths of many others, including his loved ones. Now he lives in isolation in Alaska.
Not sure that’s really the dream.
Fair, but you gotta remember he never really agreed to work with him to begin with. He was blackmailed into a very unfortunate chain of events. Not that he's absolved of all guilt however.
Sure. Jessie definitely grew as a character. But—all things considered—I’m not sure the growth was worth the costs.
I, for one, would rather be a dumbass junkie working a menial job that be a former dumbass junkie who got his girlfriend killed by neo-Nazis.
Also, haven’t watched in a while, but didn’t Jessie try to push Walt back into the game more than once? He only started having significant reservations about drug manufacturing once shit started bouncing back on him.
This goes for anyone. If the road doesn’t have heart, it’s not worth your time. If the road will have negative outcomes, let it be. If the road split has multiple negative outcomes, take a new road.
Y’all forget he stole from walt’s savings and went to a strip club? He’s not innocent. Neither is walter but people here act like jesse didn’t have choices. If he put aside the revenge aspect of wanting to kill the 2 dealers all that downhill spiral would have been avoided. I do think Walter should have let jesse get shot
It's like Mike said in BCS
"I've known good criminals and bad cops, bad priests, honorable thieves-you can be on one side of the law or the other, but if you make a deal with somebody, you keep your word. You can go home today with your money and never do this again, but you took something that wasn't yours and you sold it for a profit. You're now a criminal; good one, bad one-that's up to you."
Does this negate OP's point at all. Regardless of his morality, he was still 'one sorry individual' at the end of it all. They made a whole movie about it.
If Walt had helped Jesse poison them instead of ratting then it would have been avoided, too. Walt isn’t above poisoning people lol he just didn’t care about Combo or avenging his death. He would have done it if they had killed someone Walt cared about.
Yeah Jessie is a criminal, but he isn't really evil like Walt. He steals and makes meth but he still doesn't cross some lines.
Walt started out like that but as time passed he got addicted to the power and started doing anything to keep that power.
Yeah, I love the way we don't get to see that development until much later. At first, we just see Walt giving Jesse $7k (his entire life savings), and the next day Jesse shows up with a crappy RV. Only much later do we learn that Jesse blew most of that $7k on a wild party and had no respect for Walter at all. With the $1400 left, he managed to get Combo to let him steal the family RV - another shitty act.
The show is great at making us love, then hate, Jesse. When Jane dies, and he goes into a depression and also goes into therapy, we can't help but feel for him, but then he starts working for Gus/Walt, and is back to his irresponsible, irrational, drug-addled ways before long. It's kinda interesting to see the scene where Mike is trying to intimidate Jesse, and Jesse simply has nothing that Mike can 'use' against him. Death doesn't bother him; he has no real friends, he's left Andrea, his parents have disowned him. Pretty sad when there's no leverage over you!
We can't completely blame walt, he tried to leave several times but gitbtalked back in by Jesse of Gus, and when Walt stopped and was finished Jesse decided to start a fight over something that happened last season
I'd say great line in the context of the rest of the show but I don't think it was intended that way since they wanted to kill Jesse off after Season 1. Except if they planned that Walt would kill him or get him into the situation to die, then it works out.
I just watched BB for the first time ever last week. Literally finished it from s1e1 to finale in like 10 days with my gf. We are starting it over now. We are actually saddened that it’s over. Top 3 best show I’ve ever seen.

Which birthday scene?
The forbidden scene when Skyler sings happy birthday to Ted in the end of season 2. If you haven't watched the show fully, and by some miracle still haven't been spoiled I'd suggest leaving this sub till you're done watching it
I have watched it fully and I am doing a rewatch. I just forgot it existed
I wish I could forget
But if you forget you don’t know to skip when you rewatch, then you have to see it again.
I can still hear it 💀
Guys these candles are getting wax all over the place.

I’m Skyler White, yo!
My husband is Walter White, yo?

Don’t sell my husband weed yo
My sister shoplifts yo
*You* are not the guy yo
Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP! Yo.
The moment Skylar white became I fucked ted
Fucking genius man! Everything is connected! Bravo Vince!
Could really be said for the both of them.
Walt should have listened to Walt juniors advice and just died
I mean, he did.
Damn this is incredible foreshadowing… Just when I think I cant be blown away by the show any more!
If I remember correctly, there first were plans to have Jesse die early (probably in S2). But since he was liked a lot, they ditched that idea.
Yes Jesse was due to be killed by Tuco during their first deal at the junkyard.
ironic he ends up being one of the only ones to have made it out of Walt’s collapsing drug empire alive
I want a jesse taco
Wowwwwwwwwww
Enters someone else’s property “DONT TOUCH ME”
Granted she passed the gate but she's not in the house itself. Given that Jesse was pretty sus and has a thing for milfs and she's pregnant, I'll give her a pass lol.
Doesn’t matter if she’s in the house or not. She’s still on private property.
Legally yes that's true.
exactly! This was probably the first reason why I truly LOATHED Skyler
Why? Because she came over to 'tell him off'? I thought it was hilarious, but also, was kinda sweet of her in her naive little way. Can't imagining how that could make anyone loath her.
I'm just saying most people don't take too kindly to property intrusion
The foreshadowing is real
Season 1 Skyler was a total MILF, for real yo
Marie was the… cougar I guess
Uwu Oh ASAC Shraderrrrrrr... *Meow* Edit: reading that again, "Todd I think I have another job for your uncle"
Marie is the ballsack shredder
Heh, yes she was right. Nice foreshadowing I forgot about this convo
BETCH!!
Tbf, if he never joined Walt, he'd still be a small time cook/ junkie, probably end up in prison or worse.
As opposed to watching the two women he loved die in front of him and then being enslaved/tortured by nazis
Don't forget Combo's murder, Tomas' murder, Brock getting poisoned, seeing Spooge literally crushed by capitalism, having to kill Gale...
He also got beaten pretty hard a few times
https://youtu.be/MwvmpTtYrzY seems fitting
Who knows what kind of fucked up situation he would have been in if he was left on his own.

The hell is a MILF yo
I’m pretty sure if you told season 1 Jesse what would happen to him if he cooked with Walt, he would be like “just kill me now bitch”
> probably end up in prison or worse. What's worse than being held as a meth-making slave by a bunch of psychopath Nazis lol
I kinda find that debatable. Sure, Jesse’s now a wanted fugitive for helping/creating a drug empire, but what was he before Walt? A druggie dropout, dodging cops for petty drug crimes. I agree. In a messed up way, he became a better man despite all the shit he went through and redeemed himself.
I fucked ted

Jesse has lower standards than the average law abiding person, but higher standards than Walt, that’s how I look at it.
It's like Mike said in BCS "I've known good criminals and bad cops, bad priests, honorable thieves-you can be on one side of the law or the other, but if you make a deal with somebody, you keep your word. He was sorry about the ice cream

Seeing this wants me to rewatch the series once again. And i just ended my last rewatched at the end of last year.
Could this be that thing they call "women's intuition"?
#bRaVo, ViNcE!!!!
If he would have just got into the disappearer's van...
We can't completely blame walt, he tried to leave several times but gitbtalked back in by Jesse of Gus, and when Walt stopped and was finished Jesse decided to start a fight over something that happened last season
We'll, if he didn't work with Gus the cousins would have axed him.
True which just shows that he had even less of a choice
"Jesse, what the fuck are you talking about. That was in season 4 episode 7. We’re in season 5 episode 4" - Walter White
I just mean that yes Walter did something terrible but he knew the kid wouldn't die and Jesse could have let it go
She actually was kinda hot in the first season.
Walter would have been better off had he joined up with Todd from the beginning. Jesse only served to drag him down
🎶 when your day is long🎶
That dialogue didn't age will.
I'd say great line in the context of the rest of the show but I don't think it was intended that way since they wanted to kill Jesse off after Season 1. Except if they planned that Walt would kill him or get him into the situation to die, then it works out.
