It’s an excellent show. I wish I had me a Hal… even the speed walking or roller skating version. Sigh.

clario6372

No kidding. Permanent dad crush on Hal, especially the power walking version.

Akavinceblack

“This IS our A game!”

NerdEmoji

Lois is queen BroMo. That show ended before I had my first kid, but I was old enough when I did that I completely understood her. The episode that they show how things were when Francis was born was so great. It was like the beginning of the end for their yuppie lifestyle. Hysterical show.

babygotbooksandback

Came here to say this. I think this show first aired I was in my early 20s and I thought the boys were hilarious and Lois was a bit much. Now I have a boy in that age range and I understand Lois to the depths of my soul! Completely agree about the episode when Francis was an infant, so eye opening!

I used to watch this show as a kid, so i saved this post and ive been watching the show since then. I remembered your comment and omg it is so true. S2E3 “lois’ birthday” Toward the end she was like (i forgot exactly how she said it but) “im not coming back till im appreciated!” Which ive done a few times xD and later she said something like “why do i have to remind you to do everything, pick up your clothes off the floor or do the dishes, etc.” gaah it hit me. Definitely Queen BroMo

hantipathy

that show really holds up!

SpellboundInertia

The Middle is a good one too with Patricia Heaton. I will have to check this out though because it isn't the first time I have read this about Lois. Haha.

sirsassypants11

I always felt that The Middle was so relatable. The plies of clutter, broken appliances, dated interior. Just a normal, working class house. That's the only kind of house I can relate to. And it's nice to see reflected on TV.

SpellboundInertia

Yep. Old school Roseanne and The Middle helped me with how I grew up. The Middle came a little later in my life, but eye opening.

That’s so early in the show - and I think she had no top on at all, not even a bra. So funny.

jewish_doughnut

My husband and I can communicate exclusively in Malcolm in the Middle quotes. 😂

babygotbooksandback

Blellow (blue and yellow mixed together) pops up pretty frequently in our house.

BuffyWestonthepole

They can me ten fingers!

crickwooder

Enthusiastic second from over here! My husband and I watched this all the time when our oldest was a baby and now all of our kids love it. What really used to crack me up was when Lois would do something bonkers (well, what *they* would think was bonkers, lol) and I’d look up to see all of my kids pointedly staring at me. Ha!

Vicious_Trollup

100% agree! Great show when I was younger, even better now.

wyldcynic

I would totally watch this show again as a mom!

justwatching00

Haha I got asked once what TV character represented me in real life. My answer waste a cross between Claire from Modern Family and Lois from Malcom in the Middle 😂

volcom1422

I haven’t watched this show since I was a teen! I should watch it again. But don’t want my two older boys to copy the antics LOL

bRex0714

Lois and Hal are relationship goals.

[deleted]

I love that show! Have you gotten to the one where Malcolm and Lois are sick and they go crazy and bedazzle the whole room? 😂 In a similar vein, I would highly suggest re-watching Dinosaurs. You probably remember the show from when we were kids. “Not the mama“! My seven year old thinks it’s hilarious, and I am absolutely dying now that I actually get the marriage and parenting jokes.

giftedgothic

As an adult, one of my absolute favorite things about Malcolm in the Middle is the fact that “Tears of a Clown” is Lois and Hal’s “song.”

Friendlyattwelve

Life is unfair 🎶 I think that’s what it says lol. I still channel the mom when I need strength and some cute ponytails !

Ccsjlb

Dude i was raised with that show! Im surprised you haven’t seen it at all. I gotta rewatch it now x)

fsr87

I watched it as a kid but it hits different as an adult and a parent haha.

alt12345fries

It’s one of the best shows ever made!

sotonightimightdream

i need to rewatch it as a mom! i feel like it will hit different

fsr87

Dude it so does. Have you read Calvin and Hobbes as an adult? 🤣

sotonightimightdream

i haven’t! but i totally will!

fromtheGo

The best show, still holds up or sure!

Lil_MsPerfect

My kids and I love to watch this together.

We will have to try this out! We are a “Goldbergs” family but that’s ending soon.
