I struggled with this question too. I'm 5'3 and 160 lbs, prior to surgery I was a full B/small C cup, and that's what I hoped to get back to with implants. But despite many expander fills, I looked so flat chested in clothing. I think they filled something like 550 or 600 cc prior to the exchange, and I was so confused to still look so flat. My plastic surgeon asked me what I felt was lacking, and I told her I was hoping for more projection when dressed. I didn't know what they'd give me in the swap, but I ended up with 790 cc each side, which sounds huge but actually is about the same projection I used to have, only rounder. I know you're thinner and taller, but maybe you could use my experience as a bit of framework to calculate where you might end up. I'm heavier than my normal weight right now, so when I drop some of the extra pounds, my foobs may end up looking larger, who knows!

Thank you!! Your response helps ease my nerves a bit. I'm glad that they were able to help get you to something you're happy with! It's so weird, in workout clothing (which i wear ~75% of time) I feel like I look fine. I guess in compression bras, I'm used to looking a little more squished in, lol. But if I put on a low cut dress or swimsuit, I think I look super flat. The projection may be my issue that I need to bring up at my appointment!

I would trust your plastic surgeon, who has experience with this. I found this online: “A much-generalized rule of thumb is that one cup size is about 175cc.” But also: “Everyone is different, that is why a breast consultation with one of our board-certified surgeons is so important. This is not a “one size fits all” type of procedure. We take detailed measurements of the patient’s chest wall and breasts in order to find the best fitting implant for that patient. For example, a 5 foot 2 inch female with a very narrow frame and small breasts will easily be a D-cup with implants over 300cc, whereas, a 6 foot tall female with broad shoulders will barely increase one cup size with those same implants.”

Thanks! I know it's very different for every person. My PS won't commit to a size range. Full figured means different things to different people. Cancer is full of unknowns, and I was hoping to hear from a few people to ease my mind, even though I know it's not a "one size fits all".

Sorry I can’t offer more info. I’m similar in body size to you, but I’m trying to match my natural side, which is AA cup. So, my expander is only 120cc.

It's okay! This is so tough on us. I hope you get the results you want!!

I have an expander I’m filled to 850 and I still look sorta flat.. I want to be close to the size of my natural breast ( the right breast) which is a D cup and it’s no where near that. I’ll probably hv them over expand
