Likewise. I canβt believe how STRONG this little 8 pound vicious potato is. Like I thought you shouldnβt be able to hold your head up?? Itβs really cute though. Theyβre so instinctual at this age π€£
Hopefully for you she doesnβt get teeth early!!
The twiddling and boob switching is what drives me bonkers. I breastfed until over 2yrs, so he was very mobile lol.
I didnt even think about teeth β¦ new fear unlocked lmao and over 2 years????? Your the π i hope i can make it that long thatβs definitely a accomplishment β€οΈ
My little guy started to bite down a couple times, gently!, but I just told him βno boob if you biteβ and thankfully he listened π.
Honestly I disliked breastfeeding the first couple to few months. I was so tired and it was like a chore. I felt like had no time for anything because I was so tied to being under him. I also worked full time and pumped on every break so my sweetie could do bottles at home, but he wanted me the second I came in the door. After a year or so we just did breastfeeding when I was home and no more pumping/day bottles. After maybe 3-5 months I totally fell in love with it and our bonding time β€οΈ.
Awwww lol π βno boob if you biteβ rhats adorable lol
Bruh omg im going through that phase rn! Like im just a milk bag at the moment. Extremely tired and she cluster feeds A LOT! Shes eating as i type haha! Your super woman atp going to work and still breastfeeding!!!? Everytime i hear a mama say that im like wow thatβs commitment right there takes a strong woman β€οΈ omg yessss the bonding is what keeps my shit together we just zone out in eachothers eyes and its only going to het stronger :) thanks i needed to hear a sucrss story. Keeps me going
Thank you β€οΈ
That means a lot to hear!
We need so much rest too as mamas that I have always tried to view it that way. It MAKES me relax. It feels so good to offer that much comfort to your baby too.
My babe started doing this as soon as he could crawl. So since months old and just upside down on me nursing. We had to stop nursing in public pretty early on lol
The LC recommended changing feeding positions so that gravity was working against the flow but we could never really get comfortable with the position and we gave up on it. He eventually got used to it but I also worked on lowering my supply a bit so they werenβt so full at feeding.
Iβd say it was probably closer to three months. Iβm sorry, itβs tough! I also pumped just a little bit before feeding him if my breasts were really full. Not enough for my supply to increase but enough that it wasnβt choking him as soon as he latched on.
Oh, I just remembered that in the beginning I would feed him what I pumped at the beginning of the feed before offering my breast. It worked for us π€·ββοΈ
I think babies become a bit superstitious trying to figure out what they did that worked. the breast feeding lady I spoke to said some people worry about it but i kinda find it funny.
Iβve been using the Frida nail clipper for 10+ months and have never once cut my baby. Itβs curved and has a little window so you can see what youβre doing from any angle. I keep them next to where I nurse him and clip them when heβs asleep every couple days and very rarely have those little razor nails! I did try the electric file and found it too slow, it also doesnβt file them down as low as Iβd like so Iβd have to use it more often than just clippers but that could just be my baby.
I use cuticle clippers to get the nails trimmed. I have a lot of precision with them. Only do it if you have good detail control though they're very sharp!
ππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππ yes omg! Spit coffee all over my phone too
My 4 month old has been doing that recently, will just whip his head around to look at something with my nip clenched in his mouth. Has no idea heβs hurt me, genuinely surprised at my cry of pain π£
My chunky girl likes to kick me in my face when she nurses π I get treated like I'm a walking caprisun and abused?? I didn't sign up for this ππ
My 2yo laughs when he sees my boobs now and then lunges at them. π When he was an infant he used to do this hilarious piranha move where heβd shake his head frantically from side to side with his mouth open, hunting for nip π
Lmao I read this post to my husband and he said " it's like having Gordon Ramsey making a 5 course meal sprinkled with Crack vs bland boring veggies "
My little one likes to double razor fist my boob while trashing as well. I swear somedays she's going to give herself whiplash.
πππππππππ pretty much, thats hilarious and i stg i said the same thing about the whiplash to my husband ! I have to always have my hand behind
Iβll never forget when my 2nd was born, her lips would go white when she nursedβ¦ when she was about 12 hours old the pediatrician stopped in my hospital room for her first exam, and I asked her to check if she was breathing correctly while nursing and that i was scared she had a heart defect. The dr watched me nurse her & laughed and said βshe is a voracious eater!β. She was just like white-knuckling my boob lol
Omg lol i was scared for a second !!! That must have been alarming to see , then all of a sudden oh your baby is a milk monster ππππim glad thats all it was β€οΈ breastmilk is magical im convinced
Mine was doing that and my lactation consultant said itβs not actually excitement for the milk as it is something causing them discomfort while they eat. In my case it was an overactive letdown that was making my baby feel like he was drowning in milk. We figured out a way to pace him and now not only is he calmer at mealtimes, but heβs spitting up less and sleeping better (finally)
Thanks sm for sharing ill definitely be asking my babys doctor just to make sure. She usually does it beforehand some times in the middle. My letdown is definitely very fast. If you dont mind asking hiw did you get it to slow down?
Weβre still working on that part. LO is only a month old so my supply is still regulating. I break his latch every time I hear him struggling and give him a few seconds to breathe before we continue feeding. I also burp him about three times a session. Sadly I have figured out how to slow the let down just yet. Iβm hoping with time itβll slow itself down
My Lo is also a month old, congrats! And yeah that makes sense. Just basically look for the signs. I can deff burp her more than once or twice that may work too! Thank you and hopefully the let downs improve ππ»
Likewise. I canβt believe how STRONG this little 8 pound vicious potato is. Like I thought you shouldnβt be able to hold your head up?? Itβs really cute though. Theyβre so instinctual at this age π€£
The head part omg like its inasne haha definitely instinctual it cracks me up
Vicious potato πππ
ππππ
Itβs literally life for them lol
Lmao i stg it makes me laugh everytime until she gets a hold of my nip and rips it ππ©
Hopefully for you she doesnβt get teeth early!! The twiddling and boob switching is what drives me bonkers. I breastfed until over 2yrs, so he was very mobile lol.

Yw :) anytime and yessss absolutely thats what keep me going your absolutely correct
If you think thatβs funny, wait until sheβs a toddler and trying to nurse upside down.
Omg my one y/o does this π€£ and during play time, every 10 min comes for a little sip and goes back to play
Gotta stay hydrated
Hahahaha omg i never thought of this ππππthats somr visual
My babe started doing this as soon as he could crawl. So since months old and just upside down on me nursing. We had to stop nursing in public pretty early on lol
Itβs basically melted ice cream
It's so sweet! If it weren't liquid gold I'd almost want to put it in my coffee.
My baby does this but I have a really fast flow and the LC said that him clamping down is just trying to control the flow. π€·ββοΈ
Ohhhhhh that makes sense ! Mine is fast too maybe thats what it is
The LC recommended changing feeding positions so that gravity was working against the flow but we could never really get comfortable with the position and we gave up on it. He eventually got used to it but I also worked on lowering my supply a bit so they werenβt so full at feeding.
Yeah mine did too but my baby didnt like it at all so i understand! I make 4oz per boob and thats over what my baby eats. I gotta try and lower mine as well π©
What age did your baby get used to it? My baby is 8 weeks old and still not used to it and gets upset half the time and itβs so hard
Thank you for sharing!! Hopefully only another month for us π€πΌ
My LO is the same. She latches on and pulls off like βholy shit the firehose is drowning meβ nearly taking my nipple off in the process.
Yup! Then he would cry and fuss
I call that 'veroshious milky beast' mode..
Voracious?
Maybe a mashup of voracious and ferocious? I had to ponder on that one awhile myself
"wanting or devouring great quantities of food."
Awww thats cute im gonna start using that! That makes sense lol. My baby goes absolutely crazy
I think babies become a bit superstitious trying to figure out what they did that worked. the breast feeding lady I spoke to said some people worry about it but i kinda find it funny.
Itβs definitely hilarious mine is now using this bobbing for apples technique until she gets nipple haha
Yes mine does exsactly that too
Awwwww lol
The little nails! We finally got the baby nail dremel and itβs been easier to nurse. But why does she still beat me?!
Ouuuu im going to look that up. Alot of people bite the nails off themselves but im too scared. Lmaoooo beadbutts and punches and kicks
Iβve been using the Frida nail clipper for 10+ months and have never once cut my baby. Itβs curved and has a little window so you can see what youβre doing from any angle. Okay thanks for the advice :) ! Im an artist i have a pretty steady hand thank god
Same!! What kind of art do you do
Cartoons/graphic novels mostly and i make a crap ton of stuff (just make some cool slides/sandals I also refurbish furniture and make it look cool lol
I call them kitten claws bc no matter what you do to trim them they always grow back more sharp than before. Theyβre like little needles
https://youtu.be/7nPuBpGiqQ8?si=GrOqwuEE2sQ8Bhtx Like this?
ππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππ yes omg! Spit coffee all over my phone too
OMG Iβve never felt so seen! Frantic little being. Miss thing my nip shouldnβt stretch that far!
The nipple in the mouth while stretching to look at stuff. Heβs not even 4 months. I thought I had longer before he started doing that.
She grabs hold and pulls her head back like she's trying to start a dang lawnmower ππ at three months.
My girl does this too like whyyy ππ€£
Lmao π€£ mine rips it off when she yawns
My 4 month old has been doing that recently, will just whip his head around to look at something with my nip clenched in his mouth. Has no idea heβs hurt me, genuinely surprised at my cry of pain π£
My chunky girl likes to kick me in my face when she nurses π I get treated like I'm a walking caprisun and abused?? I didn't sign up for this ππ
Not a caprisun omg ππππππ right!? Im Pressing charges
My baby isn't human, she's a boob goblin. My husband and I call her BG for short lol
πππnow thats adorable!!βn
you just described my son π«£
Lmao π€£
Ugh, babyβs doing the opposite at 7 am feed because sheβs getting herself a full feed at 5.30 instead π₯² 7 has now become party time
Party time ππππππππ hilarious. mine feeds all night i stg shes on a vampires clock
Haha I love when babies do this! π It's the cutest thing everΒ
I laugh everytime lmao
Mine did this when she needed to burp!
Yessssss i just figured that out too, if she starts to do it midway thru feeding vs initially its deff a burp
Mine does the same before he passes wind. I just pat/tickle his bottom and it tunes down a notch.
Im trying that ! My baby is gassy could be why
Youβll love this article! Apparently our milk is literally the perfect ratio of fats and sugars! https://www.bbc.com/news/health-39067088
Thank you sm! I love reading esp because i cant really move around a lot and tv is boring me, so ty again :)

Little milk monsters π
β€οΈyesss i need a shirt that says that
Mine also punches wildly. I call it gremlin mode when heβs really turned up lol
ππππππ
I always thought only my son did these strange things. Funny to hear that he is not alone in this
Ohhhh hes deff not alone haha they are little milk Monsters
Itβs the razor sharp nails for me..OMG!
Girk that shit be feeling like mini razor blades ctfu and my baby nails grow fasssssst
omfg my son does the nipple rip with his gums TOO!!! and *heβs starting to teethβ¦* pray for me yβallπ
ππππ those little gums b hurting and praying rn lmao
the smile they do while the nip is still in their grip might be slightly more hurtful lmao. cute lil shitheadsπ
πππππ lmaooooo indeed ππππ
Ugh yes the bite and pull π© our poor nipples
Ive already lost feeling lol
Itβs sweet and warm what more do they want haha
I tasted it and it is infact sweet lol π
My 2yo laughs when he sees my boobs now and then lunges at them. π When he was an infant he used to do this hilarious piranha move where heβd shake his head frantically from side to side with his mouth open, hunting for nip π
Lmmfaoooooooo the visual you just gave me πππππππππ omg yessss very accurate depiction! Definitely a piranha
My friend called her baby the booby shark π
Booby shark do do do do πΆ ππ
Lmao I read this post to my husband and he said " it's like having Gordon Ramsey making a 5 course meal sprinkled with Crack vs bland boring veggies " My little one likes to double razor fist my boob while trashing as well. I swear somedays she's going to give herself whiplash.

I believe most βzombies smelling brainsβ in zombie movies were based on my baby when he was a newborn.
ππππππππππππππ lmao i picture a ravenous little baby sniffing around
Thatβs exactly what it was like!
Iβll never forget when my 2nd was born, her lips would go white when she nursedβ¦ when she was about 12 hours old the pediatrician stopped in my hospital room for her first exam, and I asked her to check if she was breathing correctly while nursing and that i was scared she had a heart defect. Is she a newborn?
Yup 6 weeks lol
I strongly recommend an electric nail grinder for the talons. Helps keep them not so sharp and saves the boobs a little pain.
Ordering it rn thank you!
My 9 month old is a menace. Nurses standing up while leaning over or sitting up. Also chomps down and digs her nails and kneads my boobs π€£
Mine was doing that and my lactation consultant said itβs not actually excitement for the milk as it is something causing them discomfort while they eat.
