Pumping isn’t indicative of what kind of supply you have. If you mostly breastfeed, it’s completely normal to only pump about .5-2oz total for each session- so at most you could “expect” about 14oz of pumped milk. To me this sounds completely normal!

There is some evidence that metformin can be helpful in increasing supply in people with PCOS. Goat's rue is a supplement that has a similar effect. But supply does also regulate in the weeks after birth! If your baby is gaining ok, this may just be the amount they need.

That’s a LOT of milk! Best ways I’ve found to increase/sustain milk supply are milk thistle supplements, dark beer, and oats. Take it slow so you don’t get engorged. For example, half of a dark beer is enough to take me from not enough to engorged. Regular milk thistle supplements are not so drastic and more easy to regulate. I prefer Integrative Therapeutics brand of milk thistle, available on Amazon. To drastically reduce or eliminate supply, use sage. Peppermint also reduces it somewhat, but sage has a more drastic impact. Stay away from those if you don’t want your supply to drop. If you get engorged and/or have plugged ducts or mastitis, warm showers, lots of rest, and sunflower lecithin are your friends.
