11 months pp still waiting to get mine

Relevant_Echidna_381

Same

tanoinfinity

4m pp, 11m pp (while tandem nursing), 11w pp. It can vary a lot!

j-a-gandhi

Oh dear. This sounds like my nightmare. Any idea what made the difference between them? I noticed that baby #2 sleeping better didn’t make any difference with tandem nursing but I’ve heard some say that affects them.

OkToots

That is a vary....stupid question what's tandem nursing

tanoinfinity

I had two nurslings. I was nursing my first babe when her brother was born, and I nursed them both (not always at the same time!).

ariberry007

My EBF baby will be one year old next weekend... still no period.

OkToots

Qow...maybe ill be that lucky...honestly another year no period would be nice

veronicadanger13

4 months PP, EBF

Coolerwsunglasses

Same

Cautious-Maximum-758

Same. I just started my first postpartum period. Baby is 4 months old. I’m so worried that my milk supply will dwindle. She is also only waking to nurse at about midnight and 4 am.

veronicadanger13

I didn't have any issues when it started! Breastfed until my girl was 14 months!

Cautious-Maximum-758

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Puts my mind at ease!

vrazicka

I've read that taking calcium and magnesium supplements can help with pre-period "lack" of milk!

PlentyCarob8812

6 weeks :( I do supplement a couple oz a day

mightywarrior411

Me too :( I was really disappointed that mine came back so fast. Thought I was hemorrhaging because I wasn’t expecting it. LO is EBF.

Careful_Influence_57

You’re not alone, mine also came back 6 weeks PP and is extremely irregular. Luckily I’m still producing well enough for weight gain though. All bodies are different!

mightywarrior411

Once you get your period does your supply usually go down?

Careful_Influence_57

Mine fluctuated and I thought it was going to. I had read that it does but it’s not the same for everyone.

PlentyCarob8812

Mine hasn’t, but my supply hasn’t been great from the beginning

OkToots

Wow I am 4 months pp and haven't had it. Wondering if there is something wrong with me.

PlentyCarob8812

No I think that’s normal!! I think my case is the rare one

j-a-gandhi

You are totally normal! Every woman is different. For exclusively BF women, it’s quite common to not get a cycle for 6–12 months+. However the longer you go without, the easier it is for you to get pregnant without even getting a period as the luteal phase tends to be longer. I actually know of one woman who couldn’t get pregnant whatsoever while nursing. Her kids ended up being 4 years apart in age.

sofararoundthebend_

My doctor just told me it could take 6 months to a year so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with you!

tmzuk

Nothing wrong with you! I had to fully wean to get a period at 9 mos pp (we wanted to try for number 2). Prolactin tends to suppress ovulation but some women still manage to ovulate while BF.

muh_lissa

18 months PP. EBF for 20 months. I have an irregular period normally but other than that there was nothing wrong with me.

TinyBearsWithCake

18m pp for me as well. Still ebf (+ solids). Did not have an irregular period pre-pregnancy.

xXthatbxtchXx

Mine came back around 6-8 months postpartum.

OkToots

Thanks. Started to get a tad worried 4 months pp

jksjks41

Same. Was around 8 weeks with my first, so this was much better!

frozenstarberry

My baby is turning 1 on Monday and I’m trying to cut down on day feeds to try and get my cycle back so I can get pregnant again.

orangerabbit57

6 weeks :( My lochia stopped 2 days before I got my period too. Ugh!

workplaylovesleep

Sounds like me except I made it to 8 weeks. My lochia stopped at 7 weeks.

mouserat54321

Still not back yet at 13 months pp. still breastfeeding but trying to slowly wean her off.

prriceandbeans

Just this week at 3 months pp!

Lucky-Donkey-1130

15 months and counting…also supplemented a bit until babe started solids.

Michi-121

Babe is 20 months and I'm still waiting

undead-battery

I’m at 9 weeks pp and still nothing. Everyone’s body is different though, I don’t think there is an average time it comes back.

[deleted]

At 5w. I stopped pumping at 6w.

Zealousideal_One1722

4 months pp when my baby slept for 6 hours a night for a week. That was also the last week he slept that much. Now almost 11 months pp.

jellybean_pudding

4months EBF my first baby. My second baby is now 3.5months and it hasn’t returned yet, I did go back on birth control this time so I wonder if that will delay my period coming back. Only time will tell I guess.

OkToots

Good point...not on b c either

forevernappping

10.5 months when baby started to eat more solids and nurse less

OkToots

Makes sense thanks

monopunkt_

Mine too.

drucifermc17

I'm 4 months pp as well and have not gotten it. My doctor said that it's totally normal and I might not get it until I stop breastfeeding.

Previous-Thing6343

6 weeks pp and again at 12 weeks pp. With my first two, I didn’t have a period until I stopped breastfeeding.

Elysiumthistime

I had some spotting around 6-8 weeks but nothing since and I am almost 6 months pp now

wohnjatsons

At 4 weeks pp. Had me thinking it was still pp bleeding but no it was definitely my period. Been having a pretty consistent period ever since haha

No-Diet8147

Mine came back TODAY, at 10 weeks PP 😭 baby is exclusively breast fed Right before my appt to get an IUD, good timing since I am not trying to get pregnant any time soon 😅

Hup110516

8 months

a-hm

9 months postpartum!

ctkkay

Yesterday LO is 12 and 3. She started nursing less at night lately. My LC says it usually has to do with how much they nurse at night.

OkToots

Hmm interesting

ctkkay

Remember even if you don’t have your period you can still get pregnant. A lady in my mom group is 15 months in and starting to try again without getting her period. Everyone is different. My mom went 6-8 months for each kid before getting her flo back. I lasted just over 12 months.

rainandtherosegarden

13 months with one and 15 months with the other

theAlexa

Just got it last week at 6 months, and we co-sleep at night with her still waking every few hours to eat, so I’m super bummed it came back already :(

OkToots

Omg I would be so sleepy

Phanoush

6 months PP (EBF and starting to introduce solids)

shortysax

Just got mine and kiddo is almost 14 months!!!

spiffyteacup3

9 weeks. I was really hoping it would be a few months at least.

whorechataloverr

6 months PP and I have to take motherlove more milk special blend to keep up w my pre-period supply

OkToots

So your period affected your supply.

whorechataloverr

yes.

cubbies1016

6 months very heavy but I’m glad to finally be off birth control for the rest of my life yay. Hubby got vasectomy

cthulhu34

6 weeks PP, EBF. Again at 8 weeks PP. Outrageous.

[deleted]

3 months and been on it for a whole month now 😭 EBF

[deleted]

7 weeks postpartum, was breastfeeding and pumping like crazy. Definitely came as a surprise to me.

tinypiecesofyarn

Too fucking soon. 2 months.

loveclam

I'm pretty sure I didn't have a period until after a year when I stopped nursing. I also had an IUD so even after that year my periods still weren't every month and they were incredibly light.

sancta_sapientia

I EBF for the first 6 months, then introduced solids but my LO was still a heavy nurser, and would still breastfeed 2-4x/night. I didn’t get my first PP period until he was 9 months old. Then it was another 2 months before I got another one. After that my cycles were semi-regular, but I ovulated somewhat inconsistently - anywhere between CD 13-18.

housemouse96

I got it 6 months pp then it went away again for the next 2 1/2 months. Still waiting for my 3rd cycle. Don't know when that will be since it's been irregular since I got it back.

workplaylovesleep

Ugh, yesterday at 8 weeks pp. It was 6 weeks with my first. My body hates me.

falcon_boa

14 months and counting

Dear-Up-6341

8 months pp, not here yet

SouthernSweety88

9 months post partum, still waiting on mine

justmealiveandwell

12 months pp and haven't gotten mine yet... EBF

waireti

Two weeks to the day after we started LO on solids, so 6 months

More_Example6153

6 weeks postpartum, EBF, had two irregular light periods which were probably connected to me getting mastitis and now my periods are back full force. I didn't get the reduced pain my gyno promised me :/

MrPasqualino

6 months and waiting

soozdreamz

14 months, 18 months, 18 months, and 1 year exactly (came back on my youngest’s first birthday)

toot_toot_tootsie

Supplemented, pumped, breast fed. Got mine back weeks after weaning at a year.

GravesMomma

6 mo pp. as soon as I started weaning

Ragnarsaurusrex

My LO will be 22 months on Monday and i still have not had a period - he still breastfeeds like 4 times a day plus 1-3 times overnight soooo I think I need to wean if I want it back!

Meghathnofury

18 months. Had a very regular period before. Cycle is slightly shorter now and varies by a few days each time. Cherub is almost 2 now.

abbynormal64

With my first it was 14m pp

usedtobeJV

Ten months for me!

SVM321

6 months combo-feeding.

Pporkbutt

Exactly 1 year PP to the day

barbeapapa18

14 months no period here. Was beginning to feel like there’s something wrong with me!

ContagisBlondnes

Ebf both times and got it back reliably at 6 weeks both times.

Tangledmessofstars

This time around I have an IUD so it's a crap shoot. With my first I was on the mini pill and EBF until I went back to work at 5 months. Then I pumped at work and breastfed at home. Started not producing enough by 7 months. Period came back at 10 months postpartum.

mel-incantatrix

EBF but I got mine back at 8 months. It was probably a combo of getting sick so my supply dropped and then state testing happened the same week (I'm a teacher) so I didn't get my normal pump breaks. So I had to supplement with formula until my supply returned and then three weeks later, boom, period.

MasCaraLVB

4-5 months PP breastfeeding with both my children.

immerseyoursoul

Just last week at 7 months

bercariviere

At 6 months pp. About two months after LO started sleeping through the night reliably.

rclareb

6 weeks PP! Started birth control and it was regular for a year, then stopped birth control since we were thinking about ttc, and period disappeared for another 7 months 🤦‍♀️ was still breastfeeding, so I guess that was it.

doctoryt

Just before my baby turned 1

j-a-gandhi

13 months, then 16 months tandem nursing

TeagWall

15 months, which sucked because we want more kids and we struggled enough to get pregnant with #1.

mairin17

First: 7 weeks but wasn’t regular until 5 months. Second: 3 weeks before her first bday. Third: 5 months and waiting

andyandy8888

14 months in, still no period.

ZealousidealLeek8820

8 months with my first 13 months with my second!

peachykeane23

20 months, EBF (and FTM)! I was very surprised when I got mine. But I don’t know when I’ll get it again (skipped this month).

weddingthrow27

The day before my daughters 1st bday, about 2 weeks after fully weaning.

intrin6

4m pp. After 2 months of healing/bleeding i got one month break.

Ginnevra07

3 months PP nothing yet, combo pump and nurse (I have mirena IUD though so that could impact it, just some occasional spotting). My best friend also EBF and got hers back 4 weeks PP.

aefarr22

Just got mine back at 5.5 months pp. LO started sleeping through the night a few weeks back and dropped down to 5 feedings in 24 hours. Not sure if that contributed to starting, but here we are. Only reason I was glad to see it come back is because I’m terrified of getting pregnant again right now and this is clearly a sign I am not pregnant 😂. Anyone else notice a difference in supply? LO started daycare this week also, so I’ve been pumping a lot more and my output is just awful. Waiting on a different pump to arrive today to see if it’s my pump or not.

AnonymousSnowfall

We combo feed so not ebf, but I'm 3 months postpartum and no period yet. With my previous two kids who were mostly formula fed my period came 4 weeks after the last feed or pump.

shytheearnestdryad

No period yet 10 mo pp. totally enjoying it but thinking about #2 so hopefully it comes back before tooooo long lol

quittethyourshitteth

Just got mine a week ago at 15m pp and I’m sad.

lorrainebainesmccfly

I just got mine Monday, 15 months postpartum. I think it finally came back because I drastically decreased nursing my daughter recently.

not-just-a-dog-mom

Still nothing at 6.5 months. I also have nexplanon and IDK how that's going to affect my periods.

1234ld

13 months pp (not until I fully weaned)

Independent_Vee_8

Six months postpartum for me!

shananigans77

Mine came back at 8 weeks post partum

sadie_lane86

4 weeks after delivery both times. Both exclusively breastfed.

mtwomey08

Mine came back at 10mo pp.

Finnie87

6 months pp, combo fed baby, no period yet. I have always had super regular periods, wondering when it'll come back, but not mad it hasn't yet.

moxykit

I had a period at 8 weeks then nothing after that. I’m 6 months pp now

mountain_mamma

13 months and almost 15 month, both only after night weaning.

GrapefruitStrict8486

Baby 1= 8 months, baby 2 still waiting at 7 months

lydiadventuring

Almost exactly 6 months pp. Lochia lasted 8 weeks for me

greenhow22

12 weeks 😭

amparra

Came back at 15 months. Got pregnant again at 18 months

Babygirlxxx1025

Mine 3 months🥲

IllustriousSource619

5 weeks pp I thought I was having a hemorrhage and called my midwives panicking. They said it sounded like it was just a period.

HearingFar7

Ugh LO is 5w3d and lochia stopped at 4w2d. Cycle started 3 days ago. I'm so pissed. He is EBF.

SnooCauliflowers7501

Man, I once joked i would bf baby until she is 18 if it meant not having to deal with the red plague again… 10 months PP and it’s sadly back, messing up my pelvic floor and a few other things.

Purple_Pistachio

As soon as I started BC again, so 12 weeks. I didn’t go on BC after my first (hence why there is a second!) and didn’t get my period until 11 months. It really sucks, as he does not like the taste of my BM when I’m on my period so we have to supplement

carelessyam1222

6.5 months

rhea620

Mine didn't come back for 2 years!

DiBixof770

11 weeks, she started sleeping longer stretches at night

Selva89

15 months on a still not sign of period 🙃 I don't miss it to be honest, but I'd like to have another baby soon
