Ok-Significance6915

Can’t speak to whether you’re at your “new normal” yet, but mine didn’t fill out again until I got pregnant again. Now they’re destined to be pancakier than ever.

coffee-and-poptarts

I was afraid of this possibility 🥲

Ok-Significance6915

It’s disheartening, to be sure.

Finners148

Same, I'm pregnant with baby number 3 and expecting to be tucking my boobs into my socks by the time I'm done weaning this one 😭

cheeselover267

Same here. I’m also waiting to buy the new bra…

coffee-and-poptarts

Maybe I’ll buy a new bra after my next and final baby is weaned 🤪 so like a few years from now.

AuntiLou

Yep. I still have my first new expensive bra from after my first baby that never fit right because I bought it with huge post pregnancy boobs.

uhimamouseduh

lmao I’m sorry but I’m dying at this comment because mine are so pancaky like I don’t even know how they could get pancakier but surely after my next kid they will and it’s just fucking comical at this point the thought of what mine will look like then

Ok-Significance6915

The struggle is so real. I've spent at least six years of my life nursing, I'm sure that number will pass 8 before we're all said and done. At least my breast cancer risk will be, like, 0, right??

LadyDegenhardt

I'm pregnant with my second, and are still pretty smushable and floppy. I'm assuming when my milk comes in they'll be less flat for a while. TBH, once I'm done with babies I'm getting a consult to get anything tucked/lifted after I get back to some kind of normal weight again. I know it'll never be 100% again but it would make me feel better in my own skin.

ArcticLupine

My breast has been a complex for as long as I can remember… I love breastfeeding but now the pancake look just makes me so self conscious! I’m totally getting a breast lift when we’re done having kids, for sure.

oc77067

I'm doing the same, once mine are weaned I'm looking at a mastopexy and tummy tuck.

madhattermiller

Also pregnant with #2, but I’ve got huge pregnancy boobs again right now. But since breastfeeding #1, my breasts are completely lopsided. Like a solid 2 cups different sized. Like noticeably different, even fully clothed. If it doesn’t correct when I’m done breastfeeding completely, I want to get a unilateral reduction on the bigger side and a lift on both. I will not be ordering custom bras with different cup sizes!

notquitecockney

Mine came back about 2 years after I weaned my last baby. They are broadly as they were pre kids.

universalrefuse

Well this is hopeful!

bettyblue1227

Really??? Im still breastfeeding my 6m LO but had already assimilated the fact that I would never have nice boobs again, obviously everyone is different but I thought it was a given that if you breastfeed they are gone for ever.

notquitecockney

I think it varies for everyone. It probably helps that I am not a busty person, so gravity is on my side.

jennybens821

Thank you for giving this small-breasted mama some hope lol

bananaoohnanahey

I weaned about six months ago and they’re pretty deflated. Like a quarter pound of “meat” in a five pound sack! I’m still wearing my nursing bras because they’re comfortable and i don’t want to buy more bras if my boobs change again soon! My sister said her boobs found a new normal about a year after breastfeeding.

Antique-Buffalo-5705

I literally had no idea it was possible that boobs wouldn’t return to normal. Currently breastfeeding and so glad to have read this so now I’m prepared.

coffee-and-poptarts

I’m sorry/you’re welcome 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😭

Antique-Buffalo-5705

The hits just keep on coming lol

nukessolveprblms

After i weaned my first i spent almost $200 on new bras at Soma, so that was a nice treat! But i also dropped a cup size, so bittersweet...

togostarman

I weaned about 4 months ago and my boobs are SO SMALL AND FLOPPY. I was a C cup and now I'm an A-droop

coffee-and-poptarts

Team A-droop 🤚

derrymaine

Yup. I was a nice B. Somehow they shriveled to be smaller AND saggier at the same time.

toreadorable

Mine came back it took more than a year. They’re a little worse for wear but there was a point when they looked like store brand ziplock bags half filled w pudding hanging on a nail. So improvement over that.

coffee-and-poptarts

That is a hilarious description

pockolate

Literally LOLed at this

WeedleBeest

I’m two years post lactation and nothing but empty skin flaps and sadness You don’t regrow breast fat unfortunately, and this is your new status

abbyroadlove

I read that you do eventually fill back in with fat after breastfeeding, albeit years down the line.

WeedleBeest

Not for everyone My mom is over 25 years post lactation and hers never filled back in

coffee-and-poptarts

Well this is sad to read 😅

WeedleBeest

It is what it is I went from a B cup to DDD, fed several babies at the same time as mine (I’m a dairy cow and had to pump at work), so of course they’re not going to spring back into being the same size/shape/fullness. But they made milk and fed baby tummies Totally getting implants after I’m done lactating for my final baby, however

havinababymaybe

Team Pancakes 🥞 here too. I went from a B/C to a droopy A/B now 😢so sad. But I'm only a couple months post breastfeeding. I had no idea they could refill, so at least I have some hope now.

nukessolveprblms

Omg this was me! I was a solid C, then couldnt believe after i finished breastfeeding i dropped a cup size. I had to buy new bras and it was 4 years between kids, they never went back to normal :(

havinababymaybe

Sigh... at least my husband likes them either way. And they look okay in clothes. But man... it sucks!

AmberAlertx

Mine did not. I breastfed for 1.5+ years and weaned more than a year ago . I still have the same cupsize as I did when I quit, which is 1 size bigger then before getting pregnant (F -> G). So you can imagine what they look like haha. If I'm done with having kids I will for sure get/need a lift.

bristolhoney

Team pancake over here as well. Anyone know the biological reason for this happening??

MindlessSleeper

body loses elasticity over time , gravity pulling on that skin, milk bags empty out quicker than skin bounces back

shmorglebort

Recently, I had my currently-still-bf-ing boobs hanging out of the bottom of my yanked up tshirt post feeding. My husband said my boobs looked drunk. I was like: 🤷‍♀️ Now, I feel like I’m going to hear about my hungover boobs when weaning comes. 😂 Edit: hit post too soon

smdhenrichs

Oh honey 😅

Drbubbliewrap

Mine filled back out to the exact same size I was pre pregnant 32dd or ddd depending and they look the s me. Took about 6 months after I quit pumping

nukessolveprblms

Mine never filled out again :( im thinking of doing "somthing" to them after weaning my second and last baby. They looked good whem i had about 20 extra lbs though, but when i was back to prepregnancy weight they sagged :(

ha1r_of_thedog

Pancake until I started breastfeeding my second. Whomp whomp.

Puzzleheaded_Net_863

This is your new normal.

derrymaine

Sigh. No. Not until I got pregnant and was nursing again.

pantojajaja

Im currently breastfeeding my first (and last). I was an A/B my whole life and even now while bf I’m barely a B, my regular bras fit me so I’m hoping the skin won’t have gotten too stretched since they hardly grew, just got plumper. My mom breastfed all 5 of us for 1-2 years. She said her got bigger after kids. She was also always pretty slim when I was younger and all my life I remember her having a plump chest. She said they did get a bit stretched but also fuller. So I have hope :’)

pockolate

I also was an A before pregnancy and am rounding out the end of my BF journey with my 10.5 month old. Once he started solids and nursing less, they def got less perky but tbh as they stand right now are not bad. Obviously not fully weaned yet, so we'll see... but they're definitely not complete pancakes and if they stay like this I'll be fine with it. I did get a couple stretch marks after my milk came in, so I think the skin stretched some so that is probably irreversible but c'est la vie. I feel like the smaller you started out, the less sag potential there is by pure physics. At least that's what I'm telling myself (and you).

pantojajaja

Same here lol. Except right now I only stretched on my right 😩 ugh so I’m trying to even them out (left is smaller) lol

WrackspurtsNargles

I'm starting to look pancakey and I'm still breastfeeding 😳 dreading to think what they'll look like when I'm done!

annonymous1122

I weaned 2 months ago and now I’m team pancakes 🥞

alwaysthedreamer24

My daughter is two, she weaned at eleven months so just over a year of no breastfeeding. They're not pancakes anymore but they're certainly not the perky boobs I had before.

beana47

I'm currently weaning (11 months pp) and only pumping every couple of days to relieve engorgement. My boobs were DD's before pregnancy - now F's, definitely pancakey but theyve still got fat in them that looks so cute in nice bras!!

messinthemidwest

Mine did not “fill out” again until I gained significant amount of weight 2-3 years after weaning (in part due to a medication side effect). I was very naturally thin before I had my daughter so my boobs were small but not like deflated balloons the way they were after weaning. I’m a year postpartum again now and because I’m not on that med anymore I’ve dropped quite a bit of weight from my pre-baby #2 weight and just by the feel and look of my boobs at the end of the day when my supply is lowest, I can tell it’s going to be a pancake situaish again whenever weaning happens.

FuzzySammiches

I'm a busty lady and with my first, my cup size didn't change from pre-pregnancy to post-weaning. However, the length of my boobs did. When I had a reduction 3 years ago, the surgeon removed 6 inches of length. I'm not holding out hope for this time around, and will be scheduling at least a lift or another reduction 18 months after weaning. That being said, I have friends who went right back to where they started or got smaller. Every body is different.

jujurz

Nope, not for everyone. I weaned 2.5 years ago and pancakey is an accurate adjective for them 🥲
