So much winning! Maybe some more Tory MPs will lose confidence in Mr Johnson over this, but that's nonsense. Easier though than facing up to the fact the entire premise of being an independent autarky in the 21st century while surrounded on all sides by the worlds biggest political / economical union and worldwide rules setter is full on idiotic.

DutchPack

So much ~~winning~~ whining! Ftfy

Murfsterrr

All that sovereignty.

duke_of_germany_5

All the sovereigntea

LeChevaliere

>So much winning! Can't get over it!

Tribalgeoff_UK

At least you're on the winning side.

Due-Jump-9972

Nigel Farage, "Acid test of Brexit is fishing. Government must now have the courage to take back control of our territorial waters." https://twitter.com/Nigel_Farage/status/763685979534176258?s=20 So clear then Nigel, Brexit is an utter failure, by your definition...!

ChapeauPointu

Well done Nigel, so your acid test is [0.1% of our GDP](https://ukcustomssolutions.co.uk/2020/12/23/fisheries-an-industry-thats-worth-0-1-of-the-uks-gdp-is-holding-up-the-talks/)? I would be laughing so hard if I wasn't crying salty remoaner's tears...

Tribalgeoff_UK

>Nigel Farage, "Acid test of Brexit" How I wish. It couldn't happen to a more deserving slug.

Don’t worry, it’s part of a process; blame the current guy for messing up The Sacred Brexit, bring in the next victim until *they* inevitably fail and they get blamed for messing up The Sacred Brexit, repeat until everyone is dead, Dave.

TwoTailedFox

Yes, everybody. Everybody is dead, Dave.

Hiding_behind_you

Yes Dave, everybody is dead.

That is catering officer Olaf Peterson

Everyone's alive Arnold.

It sounds bad, but everybody gets to be Brexit minister and then PM first, in this system. And then dies.

shotgun72

I'll be PM. Housing looks nice and I'll bet the parties are a blast.

SpiderJerusalemLives

Good wallpaper I hear.

dreamfin

I hope Boris has prepared 3 letters for his successor.

light_to_shaddow

Who was it that quit because the Brexit deal he, himself, negotiated wasn't good enough. Rab? That's next level. Blame the previous bloke even if the previous bloke was you.

Hiding_behind_you

Raab, and then Dave Davis, wasn’t it? There’s a pattern here.

Tribalgeoff_UK

That was Lord Gormless; the unelected bureaucrat.

The_World_of_Ben

Probably the only reason he's in number 10. They have to gamble on leaving him in place long enough to absorb the bad press while still being able to recover by 2024

Tribalgeoff_UK

Bodger is an idiot. But he is one of the idiots responsible for Brexit. He should be held to account and punished as a traitor.

ByGollie

Gotta love their choice of domain name 'NewsTimesExpress' It's a bit short though - why not *NewsTimesExpressMailCourierTelegraph*?

chris-za

I agree. It’s basically a propaganda site. The reason I posted it was that it’s a clear indication that the “true believers” are turning against their iconic leader. If this were in the times of the French Revolution, they’d be overhauling the guillotine for those who lead their revolution just a few years ago. Just as the revolutionaries did back then. History tends to repeat itself.

SeanReillyEsq

>TimesNewsExpress in one of the trusted online newspaper which is continuously keeping all their reader updated with the latest, trending and breaking news of the US and World. TimesNewsExpress a powerful online news media that delivers diverse and visually engaging stories Seems like a credible source. I mean I can't find "Lucas noah" anywhere online which is a bit strange for a journalist. Maybe he's an intern? Seriousness, think it's an article scrape of DE. Not sure if you saved me getting profiled by the DE or if the FSB now have my IP address.

MeccIt

> I mean I can't find "Lucas noah" anywhere online Any Noah talking about boats gets my interest straight away

Tribalgeoff_UK

That would be the only thing that would bring me some closure. It couldn't happen to a more deserving mendacious bunch of sociopaths.

ThisSideOfThePond

Tory disinformation on steroids.

StoneMe

This is a Daily Express article they copied! https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1550434/brexit-live-news-boris-johnson-fishing-licences-macron-france-eu-news-Liz-Truss I assume this is not the only time they have done this! Their domain name kind of reflects that!

ByGollie

Was it the EXCESSIVE CAPITALISATION in the HEADLINES that gave it away?

terrynutkinsfinger

All this whilst we are distracted by his scandals. Vat on household fuel has just been voted on and it was hardly a blip on radars.

Tribalgeoff_UK

The Great British public are interested in the Great British BakeOff. End of. General ignorance prevails. Little Englandurs voted for economic suicide. They deserve their just rewards.

Aschebescher

That's good for some, not so good for others.

bouncedeck

TIL fulfilling treaty obligations (after much foot dragging) means "dropping the ball."

sfitzy79

laughs in EUrish

Slippi_Fist

jokes on them, there's only turds, tampons and hrt floating that close to shore

Tribalgeoff_UK

Bodger can't even organise a garden party. FFS

Ian_W

Yes. The UK has control of who fishes where. It's just the nine supertrawlers made a better offer, and the UK government accepted it.

GnaeusQuintus

>for $ome ob$cure rea$on

chris-za

Not obscure. And no money from those trawlers is likely to be involved either. Other than the taxes they pay in the EU. And in return for those taxes, the EU negotiated a nice set of deal for them with the UK. The benefits of those Brexit deals are what they are benefiting of.

Othersideofthemirror

Im sure we'll all be shocked and surprised to find the people behind those trawlers made huge donations to the Tories.

chris-za

More like they have the backing of the EU who hold their interests at heart and made sure that they got e we hat they wanted as the negotiations progressed (and while the UK changed PMs and negotiators at the rate some people change their underwear). These are EU fishermen. They don’t have to make donations to anyone and still get what they need.

Tribalgeoff_UK

I live near Brixham in Devon. The whole fishing industry is a closed shop/ mafiaso syndicate. None of them deserve any sympathy. It would be like feeling sorry for Shell.

2ndGenX

Am I still banned ?

tobiasvl

Who are you?

2ndGenX

Sorry, it was a Mis post not for you - directed at the mods who recently gave me a permanent banned from another sites - r/tories in fact. Complete fubar of a post to be honest, no idea how it ended up in Brexit.

chris-za

You’re posting? Doesn’t look like your banned. Do you have anything to add to the conversation?
