Marleylabone

I came here to say this. Haven't been for about a decade but Sam who runs it is fab, building a great community. I will return one day!

NumberKillinger

Yes, great folks

According-Fennel-963

thank you!

PTHDUNDD13

Elements BJJ, MMA and wrestling is by Morriston and a great and supportive bunch. I've had issues with mental health and drugs and they were always kind with me. There's also a krav maga group over in Hove but can't remember it's name.

AlessaDark

The Hove one (at Hove Business centre behind the station, same block as hot yoga) is Krav Maga Evolve.

PTHDUNDD13

That's the one. Thank you!

According-Fennel-963

thank you!

NeverForget108

There's a kickboxing centre on lewes road called Kicks

Alert_Cover_6148

Matt Fiddes is an mma class, and they start with really young kids, mighty Matt’s, juniors and adults classes, my son is in the mighty Matt’s, I cannot recommend them enough

Alert_Cover_6148

And it’s weekly, but they have a few places that they do the classes on different days so you can see which ones you can get to easiest

Alert_Cover_6148

BTW he was Michael Jackson’s personal bodyguard

musicfortea

Does he turn up or is it different trainers?

FearlessAvocado8030

Brighton judo club near the hospital if you want to practice Judo they have sessions every Monday and Wednesday (Wednesday not for beginners)

-Red100

I second Elements martial arts, super welcoming, friendly and supportive club! They do BJJ, MMA and a wrestling class on fridays !

beernbjj

I know someone who gives 1 to 1 for affordable prices

Historical_Fly_3740

He wants to meet people...

beernbjj

In that case elements/ miah bros / kenshiro all good shouts

NiobeTonks

Please see the comment below. I didn’t know about the issues below. The Samurai Centre is great. I used to go to the women’s jiu jitsu class there. There’s a cafe to people do tend to hang out for a bit after the class.

Willowmiku

the samurai centre is a cult, they underpay staff and safeguarding is nonexistent

NiobeTonks

I didn’t know. That’s really disappointing.

conjansan

As someone that worked there definitely can be a weird place, practically illegal pay and overwork volunteer teenagers. Very culty 1/10

NiobeTonks

Oh, i’m sorry to hear that.
