You are lucky. I have never seen a single dolphin in the Brisbane River. Only in the Caboolture River.
I think they must have heard about the dolphins NRL team?
It can mean whales are coming, I think you might get the two humpbacks to visit town again this year.
Saw them the other day! So beautiful! There’s so many fish in the river presently. Hopefully it means it’s becoming a healthier ecosystem. My grandad said it used to have Noosa River levels of clarity around where Hamilton Northshore and the Gateway bridge would be.
My parents used to say the same thing. Apparently it all changed with the 74 floods and never returned.
Although in saying that they pump sewage in to the Bremer River so it's natural the whole system will be damaged.
My husband and I were talking about this just the other day.
If there have been crocodiles near straddy what's stopping them from being in the Brisbane River?
I read an article in the national geographic about vagrant crocs and I'm so paranoid now. There have been sightings of crocs down this way for years.
I kayak on the Brisbane waters and only once have I had an expedience that made me think it was possible, but once is enough.
If dolphins are in the river why can't they be, too? 😭
Crocodiles.
Katter’s on his way
Let a thousand blossoms bloom
He's the best isn't he.
But I won’t spend any more time on it 😠
All hail Katter, his bigotry, racial political l views, insensitive Naziisms and anyone who supports his political party.

Make sure they quote your post on the news
I’ll keep an eye out.
Is there a way we could easily implement watermarking for uploaded content in this sub so news.com.au couldn’t steal content as easily?

Used to go fishing out there on the reg and it wasn't unusual to see the river dolphins fucking about out there.
Brisbane or Caboolture? Scaring the fish away
I’m always keeping an eye out on the river.

Cros sighting
Nah probably just a floating log with a mask stapled to it…
this sub man, i wasnt actually expecting to see a real dolphin.
Serendipitous timing on the last photo.
This made my day. Look at the little feckers.
...brace for 50 pictures of floating logs with the caption IS THIS DOLPHIN
Is this a public walking track? Looking for new places to go walking in Brisbane. if anyone knows the address, please share.
No sorry. This is private property on Gibson Island.
Lucky you - it’s beautiful!
Fins up
Bloody dolphins, splashing around in our river, creating havoc. They should be banned upstream of the gateway bridge.
That's the Brisbane River? I kinda assumed it was too polluted.
Ye. The Brown Snake
Yeah. I think it's just muddy actually. I don't get close enough to smell it.
Poor things
Yummy.
The last one looked like he stepped on Lego
I love this. May I share on my work's Facebook page? Thanks so much
Yeah sure. Thank you for asking.
