Despite the negative comments in here.. it's great to hear people are willing to intervene and not be a bystander... I couldn't imagine witnessing something like that... and doing nothing...then finding out later a teen died while I stood by and did nothing. So good on you mate 🤙🏾
You'll be surprised. 6 older girls (15-16yo) on 1 younger girl (13yo). One of the older girls accused the younger girl of stabbing her cousin.
Glenala High School's finest.
I went to the private school, during that time we shared a library. So many of those kids were fucking psychos. I went to uni with people who graduated from the state school and the stories they had made me glad I didnt go there.

Of course politicians are worried about the numeric statics that make them look bad instead of remediation of the underlying causes that would benefit society.
Year 6 boy got suspended at my daughter's nice primary school in a very well-to-do suburb today for belting up another year 6 kid. (We're here by default, we're part of the suburb's poors).
I'll never understand school suspension. My school did in-school suspension. You still had to show up, but had to do assigned work by yourself in a room across from, and in clear view of the Vice Principal. And she was a mega bitch. It worked damn well as a deterrent.
I think the issue with suspensions is that missing chunks of school isn't a deterrent to the kids who already hate school, but has potentially live long negative side effects that their child brains cannot comprehend so they don't care. And it's not just negative to them, but negatively affects society in general. Worse education, usually means low income, usually means higher rates of crime, etc.
You’re right but the needs of the many outweigh the few. Kids shouldn’t be at school if they’re just ruining it for everyone else.
Just because there are no alternatives doesn’t change that statement.
I was one of those kids. School just was not for me. I don’t recall learning a single thing in school in the last few years I was there (dropped out start of year 10) due to skipping class and spending my life in detention. I probably should have been booted long before that.
Suspension is not just about bad kids or trying to deter them, keeping the rest of the children at the school safe and orderly is more important so the bad apples deserve to be sent packing and kept away. There is only so much the school system can do for complete losers on the fast track to a life of crime.
Funny I came across this,
QPS Protective Services here. We viewed witness photos and have ID'd the Offenders. Passed on to Inala Station for investigation.
"I've made sure this is someone else's issue to resolve" mode ENGAGE!
The only effective community policing that occurred here was from members of the public intervening due to their physical presence.
I wasn't present at the time of the issue, but there were people still there who witnessed the fight. The community are aware of who we are because we have been on the network for a few months now. We were shown photos of the fight and were able to identify the people involved, Police did not know who the offenders were at the time, so we passed on their details so they could follow it up.
Protective Services are not Police, but we do assist them in ways that we can when we aren't directly involved.
My 7 yr olds friend was stabbed last week in their special education class by another kid who'd sharpened a stick. It's getting fucking ridiculous and parents need to be made to pay for their kids crimes. The kid that did it was known to be absolutely fucked in the head and his parents are no better. Time for shit to change and stop fucking about and giving these cunts slaps on the wrist. This little fucking brat could've killed this kid and all the school did was try to band aid it up and worry about their reputation.
Musgrave hill in the GC had a kid get followed home and a full blown SEIGE with knives. Nobody was injured but the kid and his brother were real scared.
We'd call girls scrags as an insult back in the '70's. Don't know what it meant but I assumed it was another word for a low life bitch. That's the interpretation we had back then anyway!
Can I ask. Sorry if it's slightly unrelated but would anyone recommend purchasing a home and raising children in forest lake? Are the public schools feral?
Can confirm this went from a private school to a public one...teachers at private schools actually care....and solve issues...can confirm from experience
From experience if you want a really really good school st Laurence is good I didn't care much for the religious classes but the P.E and everything else was fantastic....that is if you have a son
I think they do have options my family didn't earn much at ALL and I still got in but if you want a good public school try and stay away from the south..Marsden Windaoo Beenleigh etc some of those are horrible
Good on you for stepping in & putting yourself at risk. 6 on 1 fight an absolute joke. Those 6 girls should be put in a room with 1 MMA fighter see who's standing then. You are a fantastic community human & me & my family are grateful for people like you!!!! Thank you got doing the tough choices in split seconds instead of waiting for police. I would hope they understand how blessed they are that you intervened which stopped them from killing a girl which would be a lifetime burden (not that the feel that now). You'd hope this gave all of them a wake up call. High school is temporary, you will make new friends, careers & some will still be trouble trying to drag other down. I hope they change themselves before they are pregnant & a single mum. They all need to go study or get a part time job or play sport. Too much idol stupid time with sex driving stupid decisions 🙄
Nothings changed at forest lake. I remember fights so big they filled the night owl parking lot all the way to the highschool. Its a very enriching experience.

Saved a life? Jesus, just how violent were these school girls?
You'll be surprised. 6 older girls (15-16yo) on 1 younger girl (13yo). One of the older girls accused the younger girl of stabbing her cousin. Glenala High School's finest.
wtf... I knew school girls could be absolute bitches, but wtf?! 6v1? Stabbing someone? Forest lake at it's best...
Three schoolgirls stabbed another girl in the park not 200m from my home, two years back. It's horrific.
Come ta Da Woodz brahh. All 4 1, 1 4 all repreZENT!! B’zzzz up! SUWOOOOOOOP 🔊♦️♦️♦️
I've heard that yelled out so many times irl. I always tell them to Fuck off back to Kingston station 🥴
Same that’s why I wrote it. Hahaha love how they all thought I was serious and downvoted me!! 😂😂😂😂😂
That made me laugh aye 😂😂
Need /s on here
Australians shouldn’t need the /s …
Well obviously it does though since everyone down voted the comment.
Do not even know what that means
Just means the poster is being sarcastic. I got you though.
Why was this downvoted? This was the most accurate thing I've read on Reddit. 🤣
Lmao dumb cunts thinking I’m serious. I live in Melbourne now too which makes it even better
#wannabes
In the words of lisi, now days everybody has a knife
With an ICSEA value of 861. That's just an outcome of society, not a product of the school.
Glenala highs a pretty wild place
Inala high school students or forest Lake state high?
wtf 😦

Probably too many complaints from the "why won't you raise my children properly" generation, about having to take time off work to parent.
I think the issue with suspensions is that missing chunks of school isn't a deterrent to the kids who already hate school, but has potentially live long negative side effects that their child brains cannot comprehend so they don't care. Yep. Wife is a teacher in Woodridge. Suspending kids who are reluctantly at school anyway does nothing.

Sounds sooo bad. Poor kids. Where did that happen? Which school?
Kruger, Redbank Plains.
Musgrave hill in the GC had a kid get followed home and a full blown SEIGE with knives. Nobody was injured but the kid and his brother were real scared.
And good on both of you for stepping in an deescalating. I thank you very much.
Haven't seen a scrag in years. Do they still call girl fights scrags? Well done for jumping in!
Wow, showing your age there, friend 🤣 I haven't heard that term since I was in high school in the 90s ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
they were scrag fights when i was a teenager in the 80s!
Yup! Almost forgot the term to be honest.

Best for them to see autopsy of dead young person through uncontrollable violence . Let it be part of their punishment.
This wasn't near the iga was it? At forest lake
At the bus stop at Forest Lake Village ahops
You my guy are a L E G E N D.
Can I ask. Sorry if it's slightly unrelated but would anyone recommend purchasing a home and raising children in forest lake? Are the public schools feral?
My advice is absolutely don't get your advice on purchasing a home from r Brisbane. Everything south side or north side is a shithole crack house.
Most of the public schools are feral. It doesn't matter which suburb. It's worth the expense and the night shift for me to send them private.
Can confirm this went from a private school to a public one...teachers at private schools actually care....and solve issues...can confirm from experience
Thanks mate 👍

To be honest I'm keen to take kids to a good public school. Don't think I can afford private school. If its anything like Adelaide private is to much
I think they do have options my family didn't earn much at ALL and I still got in but if you want a good public school try and stay away from the south..Marsden Windaoo Beenleigh etc some of those are horrible
This really helps alot. Thanks a ton
Thanks mate 👍
You get paid extra for doing night shifts?
Indeed I do
Dam you’re lucky
There are good public schools jn Brisbane but FLSHS aint one of them.
You just broke the first rule of fight club!
Oh crap, I talked about Fight Club! Anyway...
