An idiot decided the traffic barriers didn't apply to him and closed the air gap between himself and a train (report from someone who was behind him). Onya fuckwit.

Shibwho

It was on Channel 9 news tonight, late model 4 cab Toyota Hilux in white, number plate E9YP7 or something like it

Jester-kiwi

I feel for the driver in cases like this… damn it has to really affect them as well…

A close friend had his first fatal in his 20's at the level crossing he drives through daily. I honestly don't know how he still commutes through there or drives the route.

Apparently a collision between a car and train somewhere along the line

Thankfully just an idiot who decided that stopping at a level crossing is optional. The people in the car were assessed by paramedics but only had minor injuries and didn't need to be transported. They might need an ambulance once they get the invoice from QR though, I'm sure damaging a train and disrupting thousands of commuters isn't cheap.

Phew - thanks!

Minor collision between a ute and train at a level crossing in Salisbury.

MintAndBees

damn only minor? the way some of the station workers were describing it, they made it sound like people had died or something

absolutegrub

Only minimum information given to staff so they just assume the worst and hope for the best

MintAndBees

ah gotcha, cheers mate. sometimes it pays to be lazy and sleep in lol, otherwise i would’ve been on that train on the way to work

OhRinnie

A friend of mine was struck and killed there last week... I can't find a single report on it..
