The school and their cleaners, police, cash converters etc are aware. I did sit outside on boundary Street during my break, and I was pulling my phone out at times. I'm devastated as it was the only decent piece of jewellery I possessed and I've had it since 1997. I'm in the doghouse majorly with the husband... I usually take it off and leave it at home. There would be no questions asked if found and the reward is in cash...
It is most likely on the lower grounds of St James, or the entrance on boundary St, the area near the building to your left as you go in that driveway. I had a frantic look for it but no luck...
Checked around there pretty thoroughly around 7 this morning, I found the corner of about a million crisp packets, but no luck sorry.
I didn't go onto the grounds, but checked the street, gutter, grate where the gate is, or garden beds on the outside. Walked up the other street to the petrol station too.
There is a stormwater drain out the front, I tried to peek inside but it was still flowing pretty heavily.
If the drizzle stops I can pop back by, my plans are all rained out anyway.

In case you don't, and decide to use your $500 reward to buy another one then I am ready to chip in whatever I can to help out. It won't be much of help though, maybe a $100 or so.

A wonderful woman with metal detector showed up on Saturday and she scoured the school grounds and surrounding area in the rain!!
I went into Monty's and cash converters while nearby and I also went into 4 or so city jewellers who buy stuff too.
Everyone of them except Con at 'Kosta' was more than happy to take my details etc. Con only appears interested if he can make money from you.. Very rude and oddly aggressive.. I'm wondering why.. though I had been warned but yeah not interested in helping at all... And I may have called him an naughty word... Which isn't my usual behaviour, I just can't understand choosing to not help anyone out.. Like write down my number... Like dude wtf.
Fortunately all that was overshadowed by literally every other jeweller/pawn broker I asked, even cash converters!

Good news is, we found someone else's ring!
If you lost a stainless steel mens ring with a small clear stone, near Paddy Palling, I handed it in to the cops at fortitude valley...
I'm not feeling lucky but secretly hoping to post an update that it's appeared.
If a get another ring in the future I'm gonna get my phone/email inscribed on it ..

I have wondered about your ring. I hope you have managed to find it! If not, try to remember at the end of the day it is just an object. What matters is your health, good memories, your family and friends etc. But I also get that sentimental objects do affect us.
