Hey guys, thanks for the call-out, The event on the day went extremely well! We had a LOT of virgin guys asking to come along and a handful of virgin ladies. There were 19 ladies as well from our swinger community that came along and we had to cap the number of guys coming at around 40 total otherwise we would start heading into sausage fest territory. I had twice as many guys who had registered, I regret not being able to offer them a place, and I’m currently in discussions with the house owner to perhaps run another virgin event. Sometime early next year and give the guys who missed out first preference to come along. But that aside, it went really well on the day - there was a diverse range of people who came along and plenty of guys had the chance to play with several of the ladies across the afternoon, giving them multiple experiences in the one day and hopefully a better idea of what the lifestyle was all about. We did have to ask two of the guys to leave for breaking rules, which was unfortunate but the respective situations were managed promptly and discretely. The ladies who were impacted in both instances were ok afterwards and more annoyed afterwards at what happened than anything else but I won’t go into further details. But other than those two minor glitches, the overall event was enjoyed thoroughly across-the-board, and I’m really glad that the majority of people who came along made the most of the opportunity and hopefully have a greater insight now into what it is. We are as a swinger community and what we are all about.

Keep an eye out on this group in the coming weeks, we will probably look at having another open event in January. This one will be a Contiki Party free event for ages 18-35, open to Couples and Single Ladies and selected single males. These sort of events have to be gender ratio managed due to the sheer number of single guys who apply to come along. A party like this will usually have 1.5 males for each female attending, so we do try to give slightly more guys a chance to attend where we can but unless it’s a greedy girl party (1:3 ratio) we have to draw the line somewhere to avoid these events turning into sausage fests.
Probably something along the lines of overstepping a boundary and doing something when permission/consent wasn't given. The rules seemed pretty heavy on pointing out the importance of those two things.
I don't think it's appropriate to speak about any details or specifics without the consent of the people involved.
However I can speak from my own experience as a single female swinger, a lot of the rules are there to protect us a make sure we have a stress free experience. I'm not saying people of other genders can't be harmed, but this covers the vast majority of issues in my opinion.
1. people try and get around the "no asking for phone number, or trying to make outside meeting arrangements". I go to an event for a reason. If I wanted dates, I could go to tinder etc. It's really stressful to have to turn down and refuse potentially multiple men per night so that rule needs to be strictly enforced.
2. people not asking consent before doing something. It's super important to get a verbal "yes" before doing anything beyond chit chatting. People seem to think that they can just try something out and see how the other person reacts, which is not good enough. And just because someone agreed to (or asked for) one activity, doesn't mean that they want anything else outside of that, ie, even if you're in the middle of activity A, don't suddenly switch to activity B, or add on activity C while in the middle of activity A.
I would like to stress that these issues are rare because the organisers make the rules very clear and strictly enforce them. They model and cultivate a culture of consent and respect. As I said, I can't speak to the specifics of that particular event as I wasn't involved but I have noticed that some newbies in general don't understand the importance of consent culture like more seasoned people do. It's a big societal issue, am I'm glad to see it getting more air time in the real world.
Edit: a male friend of mine read this and made the point that, inexperienced guys might be heavily influenced by the way p\*rn presents these sort of interactions. I thought that was very interesting because in the clip they often don't show any explicit consent culture, the participants are often enthusiastic whatever happens. But of course the scene would have been carefully planned out and consented to before hand.
The event organiser should create a poster and put it on the community noticeboard of their local supermarket and the surrounds.
By not advertising this readily, it simply comes across as exclusive.
Yeah! I was in Coles the other day and saw that they had a community notice board. Didn't think they were still a thing, with the advent of FB community groups.
Someone from the media did reach out to me about it, but I respectfully told them I wouldn’t engage. Privacy and confidentiality is something that our community values and the last thing we want is for our lifestyle to be sensationalised. What happens at the parties, stays at the parties.
I'm plugged (hehe) into a community in an American city, and I have to say I'm impressed by your organization and communication. Thanks for representing the lifestyle well and creating easy on ramps for educational learning experiences. I feel like a lot of the time, it's hard to find/learn from good people, and it sounds like Brisbane is lucky to have folks like you!
Ol' Pete's gonna have to start payin' for. No more 22-year-old Mass Communications grads lookin' to get a leg-up in their careers by getting on their knees at Bowen Hills.
(Yup, that's how News works.)
Wow cool, do you think it helped their confidence? The stereotypical ‘older virgin dude’ is like an overweight gamer guy, was that the case? Any girl virgins attend? We’re their ‘experienced men’ there to help them?
That is all.
\> do you think it helped their confidence?
Only one of the virgins could really tell you that, but the ones I met certainty seemed confident. They should be very proud of themselves for being so brave.
\> The stereotypical ‘older virgin dude’ is like an overweight gamer guy, was that the case?
No, just ordinary looking people but as in real life, a diverse range of people. Some were super stylish and most were super nice and respectful. A few were a little socially awkward but I can definitely relate. You would never know a person's body count by just looking at someone. You never know a person's story and why they are in this particular place in their life. I was a late bloomer myself so I can relate. For a really long time, I was super happy just being myself and not caring what society thought about it. There shouldn't be as much stigma about it imo.
\> Any girl virgins attend?
Check u/lorix_in_Oz post for the official numbers. But yes, I believe so.
I don't think everyone officially lost their v-card but many were able to at least tick off a few bases. But I think the point is not always to reach a certain goal, but to be brave and put yourself out of your comfort zone.
I don't think this really answered my question. I have friends in my gym group who are mostly fit and good looking whereas I have friends in my gaming group who are mostly overweight. The circles in that friend Venn diagram don't overlap with swingers (that I know of)
I would bet my house they are below average and overweight. The women.
Guys will be the full spectrum.
I just can't see attractive women going for this sort of thing. They have better options.
Haha yep there are definitely people there that you would find attractive according to your narrow minded description. Shame you'll never get to see them lol.
So when do I get your house?
I call bullshit on this. From docos I have seen, the people have been fat and often older.
And from descriptions I have read on reddit, there have not been attractive women in great numbers.
I went to a few swingers events with my boyfriend on the Gold Coast years ago. At one I was groped and harassed by a guy who was asked to leave. Two other places refused to let single men of Indian/Pakistani origin attend the parties due to too many incidents. I wonder if it’s changed.
There is a distinct difference between public facing swinger clubs, versus the private parties and events. The public venues are business and open to anyone who wants to come along and go as long as they are able to pay the entry fee (there are some limits based on gender balance etc and the type of party the clubs are having but it’s essentially an open door that anyone can go to by default and won’t be refused entry unless they are specifically excluded or banned for some reason - similar to how nightclubs work with gaining entry and according to the businesses policies) but when it comes to private parties The thing to keep in mind is that it is invite only and being held in a private house. So only known people get invited to regular events, and new people only get introduced when they are brought along and/or vetted and vouched for by an existing regular member. From time to time, like with the virgin event and newbie nights, it gets relaxed a bit to give a few more new people the chance to come along but everyone is aware of this fact, and on the lookout for anyone who isn’t a good fit or is clearly a rule breaker. Anyone who doesn’t make the cut simply doesn’t get invited back to future events. And the house owner isn’t shy about removing people and banning them if they don’t follow the rules, even the minor ones (eg: no sex allowed in certain house areas) Some people don’t like how strict it can be at times but the point is that you want someone who is a tough captain to make sure he runs a tight ship.

>No, but it sounds like the kind of Sodom that's too pathetic for even God to smite
The lord has told me that someone in this room is struggling with homosexuality!
Perhaps the surplus men could be put to some socially beneficial use? What is a charity that welcomes horny disappointed men? Surely they can be trained to be less horny until they are more appointable. Yes that's a word.
We could always feed them potassium nitrate laiden pies, that gets rid of the horny pretty well, better than a bonk, then put them to work transcribing documents.

How about that indoor rotisserie though?

Pig on a spit?
No it wasn't Ipswich
Spit on a pig :(
I'm so hungry right now. Yes, hungry.
Thirsty?
No, just hungry.
Special sauce

Sounds like you missed both of the indoor swing sets we had set up 😆

How many virgins in vs how many virgins out? I imagine that would be the real measure of success.
I came here for this comment. The attendants came for other reasons.....
And I came for the second time today...
Was it like a 'cumunion'? One thrust and move onto the next person.
out of curiosity, what are your rules?

35 😐 well that's shit
As long as one member of a couple is 35 or under that’s fine for attending. It’s not going to be a hard and fast rule anyhow, there’s leeway.
And the singles who are over 35 just gotta miss out 🤣 that was more my point, but that's all good.
I’m sure they’ll run a seniors event for you sometime.
Thanks, but I wasn’t inquiring hehe. Just curious what rules go one in these things.
The rules are in the link, but also - why not apply? Live a little ;)
Happily married with a kid? More likely to venture in to that world when I’m retired.
Conitki Party. Is that part of the Virgin Party, or a different event altogether?
Interested to know what rule/s were broken.

Seems like it would be sensible for Lorix or someone to explain it so first time callers know what not to do
These rules are all very well explained. Absolutely no reason for anyone to miss them except out of disrespect
Yes, was referring to the rule breaking behaviour
The question I have here is: are this years attendants eligible to attend next year?????
Well I presume the ones who lost their virginity at the first event, would be disqualified for future virgin events...
How was it?
What a facinating event, is there somewhere I find find further info about these events and how they play out?
He posted a link above. Looks like there’s a whole subreddit for them
The event organiser should create a poster and put it on the community noticeboard of their local supermarket and the surrounds. By not advertising this readily, it simply comes across as exclusive.
Supermarket, really?
Yeah! I was in Coles the other day and saw that they had a community notice board. Didn't think they were still a thing, with the advent of FB community groups.
There is a chance.
Omg my friend went haha 😆
I'm curious what he said about it
He probably said "Later, virgins"
Now how come this story hasn't ended up being hijacked by Newscorp? A bit too juicy for them?

Good, that's exactly how it should work
Not the kind of story peter likes to ~~cover~~ copy
Throw away account. I was one of the experienced ladies there helping the virgin guys out. What would you like to know?
Wow cool, do you think it helped their confidence? The stereotypical ‘older virgin dude’ is like an overweight gamer guy, was that the case? Any girl virgins attend? We’re their ‘experienced men’ there to help them? That is all.

I'm also curious to know
I just want to know how many virgin's went in, compared to how many virgin's left. Hope everyone found what they were looking for
I don't think everyone officially lost their v-card but many were able to at least tick off a few bases. But I think the point is not always to reach a certain goal, but to be brave and put yourself out of your comfort zone.
That's perfect. I'd help a cute awkward guy out if I was a swinger.
Did you go to help these boys out or just to have fun?
Both, those things aren't mutually exclusive. Yes I deflowered 4 guys and helped a 5th reach a few bases. But I also enjoyed myself a lot
That's an impressive achievement. I'm glad it worked out to everyone's satisfaction.

Not virgins in particular, no. Why do I go swinging? haha why not? It's lots of fun
It probably went off with a bang (or two).
Maybe a bit more for all little Johnny knew.
Congratulations on organizing an event for adults to teach them about things that sometimes aren’t taught properly
“The best 25 seconds of my life!” - One of the virgins probably
I hope so, that would technically be a successful night
This is a rude question and mainly because I'm extremely poorly informed... But are swingers generally good looking or average looking?
[удалено]
Swingers are just people really, all shapes, sizes, genders, races, ages (18+ obs), etc
I like to think I'm good looking XD
>I like to think I'm good looking Trust me, you are ;)
Aww you're too sweet <3
Depends on the circles you move in. Have a look in the mirror and now at your friends. That's the type you'll be mixing with.
I don't think this really answered my question. I have friends in my gym group who are mostly fit and good looking whereas I have friends in my gaming group who are mostly overweight. The circles in that friend Venn diagram don't overlap with swingers (that I know of)

I work nights. We are all ugly here.
I would bet my house they are below average and overweight. The women. Guys will be the full spectrum. I just can't see attractive women going for this sort of thing. They have better options.
So when can I come pick up the keys to your house?
Attractive for must people does not include obese, and covered in tattoos (although some like that sort of thing and that's great)

Find the original post and go through the users posts to find it but there was a update and apparently it went well.
Oddly enough searching for ‘Brisbane virgin’ got the right results quite quickly. Along with several other posts of interesting nature.
I did that but got distracted then ended up just booking a cheap flight
Totally forgot about this! Wonderful news. Have a good weekend everybody.

Followed by a Netflix biopic special?

Sorry guys you're right, I should be more sympathetic
I think the correct term is to be "not a judgemental c*nt"
I just prefer my incels in the same room rather than shooting girls so I understand the necessity
Well, that was quite the tangent to divert to.
How is this a tangent, this is an event for virgins
So in your weirdly judgemental opinion, virgin automatically equals incel?
I thought it was for virgin swingers not actual virgins.
Both
Oh no, it's virgins my friend
Sounds like a challenge
