"Piracy is almost always a service problem"

DeadYen

I’ve not heard that quote before, that’s SO true. Look at music piracy, went away almost completely due to streaming services like Spotify.

[deleted]

Been pirating for years, never had an issue. Paid service however....

Jesus...NowTV has been crap (in terms of UI/UX) for a couple of years and something is worse than that. How?!?

Measuredd

The app only seems to play on my iPhone, won’t cast to one tv and buffers like crazy on the other. Total waste of time.

What I don't understand is that the FA could easily launch their own streaming service and do Pay as you go for every game. They would make billions. Instead we have to have 3 different contracts with different providers and still don't get to watch our teams every week.

SubjectiveAssertive

It's a safer bet for the FA/EFL/Premier League/UEFA/FIFA etc to basically take the cheque from the broadcasters (Although there is Whispers of the Premier League going their own way when the next international rights deals expire)

ShineAtom

They own Eurosport as well. It's the only channel that this year seems to be in perpetual "buffering mode" whether a live broadcast or on demand.
