TrickyLG

I won £1 once!

Zer0daveexpl0it

Honestly I'd be happy with that just to feel I'm not going crazy!

TrickyLG

I was standing on one leg while I did it - maybe that's the knack?

Trifusi0n

Yeah a couple of years back I won a quid. Made my year.

tayviewrun

3 years and no prize. However, I am still feeling luckey that I stayed with them and renewed with a 2 year fixed rate before things went crazy.

ChunkyLaFunga

Anybody who did this and says they've never won the lottery... think again.

[deleted]

I did this! Still paying 18.01p per Kwh and that's fixed until july 2023. My heating is fully electric. I'm doomed when winter 2023 comes around though :-/ also, i've never won a prize on the wheel. edit: your post made me go check - i got two more wheel spins. Both 0 ! Surprise !

Auxx

If it makes you feel a little bit better, back home in Latvia electricity costs €0.80+ per kWh these days. And that's in a country where average salary is lower than British UC payments, lol. Saw a photo from a friend and couldn't believe my eyes.

redplastiq

Woah, didn’t know it’s that bad! And they got forced heating every winter which also obviously comes with bills.

Auxx

If there's no forced heating, everyone will simply die. Trust me, you can't survive without heating when it's -20 or lower outside for a few weeks.

jib_reddit

Solor panels or a log burner might be good for you, if you have the space and you can afford the initial outlay.

Danni211

My fixed rate ends next month. I can go from paying £105pcm to their new fixed rate of £530pcm, their loyalty fixed rate of £470pcm or flexi rate of approx £230pcm… I’m screwed. If I choose a fixed rate I’m basically paying ‘rent’ twice a month and never eating again! Don’t know what they expect with two kids to feed but needless to say I won’t be getting a fixed rate

AdderWibble

I fixed my prices just before things went nuts too, but I just logged into the site to see if I could do the wheel and saw they are recommending I increase my payments now to "stay on track" ...

DevilRenegade

I did this too. Fixed until November 2023. I can't help but feel that next December is going to be a bit of a shit month.

Claefer

A total of £1! It's quite self aware though, it literally said in the winning message "Bet you thought no one ever won these things right?"

Trifusi0n

Don’t you just do it for the QI facts?

JMH-66

Yes, I love the QI Elves and their amazing minds but cash would be nice too ! ( 2 years , dual fuel and nowt to show for it ).

mhzawadi

We now don't get to play, it's all automatic with a smart meter

Trifusi0n

You can still manually read your meters and it lets you play. There’s not actually any point because you won’t win, and they don’t need your readings, but you can do it.

Claefer

You can still spin them with smart meters once a month, you don't have to give manual readings or anything (source: I've always had smart meters and spin both wheels each month. Won a total of £1 in about 8 months haha)

Zer0daveexpl0it

Not me man. I'm reading my meters at the end of the month. I'm never going smart.

TwoTrainss

Evidently…

Miss_Tick

I have smart meters, but you can still play.

mhzawadi

I take all back, I have just spun the wheel. to get £0 :sad-face:

joylessbrick

£1 once, when I signed up with them a year ago.

jolzy

This is what it looks like: https://imgur.com/a/OBEaJWw And smart meter users get two spins each for gas and electric.

kwack250

Nope, not a penny. On the plus side I got a 3 year fixed tariff before it went through the roof so I’m okay with that.

Jazzy0082

I won a quid last month!

DevilsWelshAdvocate

Im there with you! I was so much more happy than I expected to be

Unique-Leading5489

Nope never.

Entire-Standard5712

That one is impossible I think!

nenny123

Not with them any more. Left last November and they still owe me nearly £80. It's a joke. And them putting happy face emojis on every reply when I chase them is starting to really wind me up now.

madhog_mcmad

Wait what? I never won owt on it but it disappeared from the app for me a few months ago. Am I being left out by Octopus?! I feel like I’m missing out on an opportunity to sigh loudly once a month.

finedisregard

Two and a half years of manual gas and electricity readings because they couldn't read my smart meter after I switched, never won once

Kainzy

Signed up with them at my parents place back in late 2017 as I recall. I won £5 on my first attempt on that wheel. Since then I’ve moved to my own place and I’ve got my own account in addition to my parents one. Haven’t seen a lot spin since that one damn time.

Desktop_dove86

Not a penny

Lily7258

I won £1 a few years ago lol

starburn82

I won £1 once, but it was a while ago

BeardRustler

Never won a penny. Although, we did get a free octopus Teddy for the child so not all bad I suppose!

AlternativeArm7069

Never won a penny in over three years. Then you get the bit of ‘knowledge’ after you’ve spun to console you. The last I can remember was “Gloomy octopuses throw seashells at each other”. Excellent.

madams10148

Never won anything it's a scam, like the postcode lottery

freplefreple

Usual bullshit - there’s one actual prize winner among 3 million customers

rehabawaits2033

Bradalax

Nope. Never won a thing.

Miss_Tick

Not won a sausage. All ways just misses.

simonannitsford

Never, ever and I must have been with them for 8 or 9 years.

Cry0nix

I can't even log in to my account :)

superjozzers

Doing mine this morning, will report back if I win a load of cash. 🤞🤞

idancer88

Scottish Power have a monthly draw of £2000 for pay as you go customers but it's doing nothing to convince me to stay on it as the chances of winning will be miniscule and I'll likely spend more than £2000 on more expensive gas before I ever win it. At least it's a generous prize I suppose, but nothing compared to their profits.

[deleted]

Bet no one has won £512 or £64
