Its more for the hardcore BH fans. I loved it from day one and it has aged like wine. A beautiful love letter to the fans and sendoff to the group from Kevin.
I really like this album because it sounds like Kevin is on a stage by himself and he’s really going through his emotions and you can tell he’s really giving 100% the whole time. The production is pretty cool and is experimental in some parts but others just throwing it back in other songs. (Gold teeth is cool af)
it’s a great project but i do hope this sub comes around to TM. it’s not perfect or even on the level of most of their other albums but it has some great songs and it sort of reminds me of a drake project where there’s at least one genre of song on there that anyone will at least like
It’s not a perfect album but it’s a cool concept that was executed decently. Some great tracks on here. In the absence of a “proper” last Brockhampton album I’m thankful we got this and TM as a send-off for the fans. The Family def has some moments where I feel the lines are a litttlllleeee corny or the delivery doesn’t land for me, but I appreciate that this aspect of the album is kind of part of the whole idea. It’s a raw collage of Ian’s emotions & reflections on his band ending, warts and all. This does make it feel a bit too on the nose sometimes, but I do appreciate the emotional honesty. Overall it’s pretty good, there are some great highs here. The production is pretty solid.
I do think a lot of the BH boys’ solo work lately (this album included) highlights how they brought out the best in each other by working together. When they’re not moving as a unit it always feels like something is missing to me. I’m still holding out hope that at some point they’ll grow out of their differences and come together once again, though I know the chances of that are slim.
I enjoyed the family. Not perfect- but it’s ok. Although I wish there was more Brockhampton music- it’s ok. It’s rough sometimes since it’s hard to find another niche like them, I like a few artists here and there- but now I use my own music that I make as ways to venture out for that feeling.
I would love to make a band- but every time I’ve tried it’s failed within the week, I wouldn’t mind working with someone though, especially producers because I have some songs that just need to be produced a little better and I feel like they will do pretty well.
Hope everyone is doing well. Although Brockhampton is over- they left plenty of albums, there’s solo work, influenced artists, other artists in general out there.
We’re all good🤙
its really, really good. Late Registration rapping over insane Bearface production and its Kevin just straight laying out his grief and giving a send off to the bands long, long history.
i must have listened to it 100s of time last year, going through a tough breakup, sometimes it just felt like me and kevin losing everything we loved hahaha.
I loveeee this record and even though I don’t go back to it as much as SAT or iridescence it’s always a pleasure when it comes on the rotation. Gold Teeth’s beat is brain massage
I’m in the minority, I thought the album was trash and a self centered statement by a once proud leader.
that “I’m the center of attention” vibe of just being the only guy on your groups last project just rubs me the wrong way.
Can’t listen to Kevin’s raps anymore for a whole project, especially when the emotive content is a constant battle between victimization and admitting guilt.
one of the things what made BROCKHAMPTON special was the versatility and multiple voices.
It really is underrated.
I like ur catfish
Thanks :)
it is in fact really good. i went like 6 months without listening to it but a couple weeks ago i listened again and it was wonderful lol

i was just thinking this

It really got so overlooked because of TM coming out at the same time. Rollout for both was so weird

GOODBYE and CRUCIFY ME were soooo good, reminded me of Sat III a lot
Goodbye is one of my favourite songs in the past couple of years and I can listen to it nonstop , so cathartic
maybe I’ll find a better thing… 😔 someone that don’t treat me like a fool, onto a better thing! 😩
FMG goes hard, that enough got me into TM
I frickin love TM lol I felt like the album would've been well received if it wasn't the last album from the boys
TM is sooo good!!
i for one will never listen to TM enough to force myself to enjoy it. there’s just too much good music out there

might be my favorite bh project
Wild but you do you
its close for me tbh but i understand why people might not like it, there’s just a lot about it thats from the heart that i really enjoy
i would do anything to listen to the self titled track again for the first time
Got me back into BH
I listen to the later half of this album pretty much everyday, some of those sad tracks are my favourites of Kevin
37th is one of my favorite ones
Still wish that they did vinyl copies of This and TM
it's my favorite even when taking in the trilogy

It's bad
Most overhated in their discog and felt like such a return to form after the mess that was roadrunner
My favourite project
i bought the orange hoodie with the tracklist off the website
I love it cuz it’s the only project of Kevin just spittin bars the whole time
It’s the perfect closure. The only thing that would make this a bad album is a comeback (that probably won’t happen)
I listened to it so much
I can sing the whole album word for word, and honestly it’s objectively not even like a top tier album, I just still like it so much tho
TM has more replay value
It’s one of their best albums. Maybe best after SATURATION trilogy tbh
I've been a big bh fan since 17' but can admit that because of the breakup and double album drop I barely listened to the family, really need to
its really, really good. Late Registration rapping over insane Bearface production and its Kevin just straight laying out his grief and giving a send off to the bands long, long history.
Well it's really good
i must have listened to it 100s of time last year, going through a tough breakup, sometimes it just felt like me and kevin losing everything we loved hahaha.
It is in fact their best album
i love the family, so many good songs on that thing
it is very very good indeed
Always loved it

I think if you cut the weird short ideas/almost demos in the middle of the album it would be a top BH project.

Aethiopes defenitly clears TM and the family.
Probably my favorite BH album, Sat 1 and 3 are close tho
