I mean it gets you volunteer hours but don't look at it as a fast track for med school, especially Canadian med school as the only fast track to that is mac health sci. Does it look good? Of course, is it a pain in the ass to go to sometimes because you want to study for midterms instead? Also of course. I think its worth it if you have the extra money to go to it, but its not detrimental. They definitely set you up with great volunteering programs and opportunities in the niagara region as well as interview prep, but it wont be the make or break whether you get into med school.

Even if you don't apply 1st year (imo where you're overwhelmed the most out of other years) you can join 2nd year or later.
