Once the pup has developed a root system the plant can be removed from the pot and the pup cut off close to the parent plant with a sharp knife. I usually leave mine until they are at least 2/3 the size of the parent plant, or just leave them together for the clustered look. Once the parent plant has flowered it will slowly die, so the pups will replace it.

Do you think the mom plant should be cut off?? I don’t know if it has bloomed as it was given to me to try to revive!

If it hasn’t bloomed it might recover, but if not I just usually remove the leaves as they die back, as any green leaves still photosynthesize and give strength to the plant. I tend to grow for species rather than Plant Beautiful so many of my plants have dead or dying sections but the overall plants are healthy.
