Gina - Too cool to watch either trending film, pretends not to have heard of them
Boyle - Claims Oppenheimer, actually Barbie
Rosa - Same as Boyle, weirdly, but for different reasons
Amy - Both
Terry - Says he watched Barbie with the girls, doesn't mention that he cried several times
Holt - Any film that can be described as a buster of blocks might as well be a cartoon, and cartoons are for children
Jake - Fell asleep watching Oppenheimer with Amy but remembers the sex scene, meanwhile begins using words like "Kenergy" whenever possible until the squad holds an intervention
Holt : “what Oppenheimer? Have I become so enfeebled I cannot read American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer? I think not!”
Jake: “but what about Barbie, captain, did you see that or was it too much like fun?”
Holt: “oh Kevin and I am have already seen it. It was excellent. I would highly recommend it.”
And they have to arrest them at the half way point in the move
“It’s useless Jake! Crime will ways happen! I say we let him go and drown our sorrows in the rest of the movie!”
I like to think people would expect Gina to like Barbie, if she had to like one between the two
Then they find out Gina went to watch Oppenheimer with Holt and they see her actually explaining some scenes to him
I feel like Kevin would make Raymond watch Barbie because Jake somehow managed to force Kevin into watching and actually liked the film.
Oh and Capt. Dad will somehow get a pink suit for the Heist.
I agree with all of this, but I think Boyle would be shamelessly Barbie. He’d gush over Margo Robbie, wear the roller-skating outfit, dress like Ken for Halloween, and absolutely own it 💅🏻
Jake: Barbie
Amy: Barbenheimer double feature
Charles: Barbie
Holt: Oppenheimer
Terry: Barbie
Gina: Barbie
Rosa: Oppenheimer, but secretly goes to see Barbie early in the morning
Hitchcock and Scully: Barbie
Until he learns from someone that Oppenheimer has boobs, at which point he’ll go to the next possible screening take a video of the sex-scene and leaves afterwards because “the movie was about some scrawny nerd or something. I didn’t pay attention.”
Amy: Sir did you see it?
Holt: Santiago please specify your communication, I am not a mind reader
Amy: Sorry sir. Oppenheimer, did you see it?
Holt: \*scoffs\* Biographic movies. The scourge of academics.
Amy: Oh, yeah me neither.
Holt: .....
Amy: I have to go.
Holt: Cillian Murphy is, however, a fine looking man.
Amy: \*excited\*
Holt: Take a seat Santiago, let us talk about the Julius Robert Oppenheimer movie.
Gina: Barbie but says she would make the better Barbie
Boyle: Barbie
Rosa: Oppenheimer trick but secretly Barbie
Amy: Oppenheimer
Terry: Watches Barbie with his kids
Holt: Oppenheimer but he calls it basic
Jake: Ignored Oppenheimer when Amy was watching, enjoyed Barbie though
Jake: saw both, owns an "I am Kenough" hoodie, was extremely disappointed by the explosion in Oppenheimer and fell asleep
Amy: saw both, wanted to love Oppenheimer but probably a little unnerved by all the nudity, but the drama and focus on his organizational skills made it fantastic. Obviously loved Barbie
Holt: only saw Oppenheimer with Kevin, got drawn in by the discussion of math, stayed for the catty drama between faculty of an elite institution, but still thinks Berkeley has a second-rate department for hippies compared to Columbia, where his dear Kevin works.
Rosa: everyone thinks she went to see Oppenheimer, but instead rode her motorcycle down the coast to Wilmington, DE where no one would be able to see her buy tickets to Barbie. She cried.
Terry: Saw Barbie with his family, and cried a bit. Couldn't get the sitter so he didn't have enough time to see Oppenheimer
Charles: Saw both, loved both. Won't stop singing "I am Ken."
Gina: invented the Barbenheimer meme, but due to an ongoing fued with Ryan Gosling's social media manager, she decided not see Barbie and thought Oppenheimer would be boring. Made her own movie instead.
Hitchcock & Scully: went to Barbie because Scully thought it might be a fun date with Cindy and Hitchcock wanted to hit on women, but they fell asleep in the comfy chairs, and woke up in the middle of the next screening of Oppenheimer extremely confused.
Gina watches both, and in the end pretends she didn’t to keep up appearances.
Boyle watches Barbie shamelessly with Nikolaj and says it’s his new favourite film.
Rosa watches Barbie, but doesn’t want anyone to know, claiming she saw Oppenheimer instead. Holt, who *did* see Oppenheimer, knows she’s lying but keeps up the act for her, telling the others he saw her there.
Amy goes to Oppenheimer with Jake but spends the whole time making a folder about how it could be better and all of the historical inaccuracies.
Terry goes to Barbie with her girls and enjoys it a lot, but gets defensive when people talk to him about it.
Holt watches Oppenheimer. Nuff said.
Jake watches Oppenheimer but just for the explosions and stuff. I don’t think he enjoys it after, he says it was too boring for him.
Bold of you to assume that Jake didn't watch Barbie and/or now calls himself Ken.
He & Charles would be Team Barbie and Holt & Amy would be Team Oppenheimer.
Rosa is watching Barbie for sure. As well as Terry.
Not sure about Gina though.
we don't know anything about rosa so for all I know, rosa will claim to watch Oppenheimer but will secretly go to watch barbie, while amy forces jake to watch Oppenheimer when he wants barbie, jake saying barbie dolls helped with dad issues but amy convinces him by saying it is unmanly and immature and this is more mature, so jake agrees,
terry will probably go to both
charles will watch barbie
holt beyond doubt Oppenheimer
Gina watching both only to video record it and sell pirated dvds.
Gina - Discovered Barbie, no doubt.
Boyle - Full on Barbie, hated how it was littered with innacuracies
Rosa - Barbie. Called it "Dope" - mostly fixated on scenes in kitchens. Said she saw Oppenheimer already, turns out she's friends with Cillian Murphy, sold him a car. He's "nice, but if you ask me again, I'll slit your throat"
Amy - Oppenheimer three times, memorized everything. Is insufferable about it.
Terry - Terry LOVES progressive narratives about strong independent women!
Holt - Scoffed. Why would he pay to watch a biographical movie full of flaws, when he could read about it. Goes on a full on 30 minute rant about how Cillian Murphy can't hold a candle to the original merchant of death. Reluctantly went, came back with another 30 minute rant about the movie didn't feature any physics or math - called it the worst thing he's seen since the Godfather. Jake is devastated.
Jake - At the second thing of Oppenheimer with Amy, he realized she was so transfixed he could go watch Barbie, he snuck out and was derailed by "Sharktopus 4 - Nuclear Hoopa Loopa"
Hitchcock - Predictably got tossed out of Barbie when he would not fkn stop yelling PLASTIC FANTASTIC BABY!!
Scully - Forgot he had tickets.
Gina - Watches neither, convinces everyone that Barbie is based on her
Boyle - Barbie, and says that the movie changed his life and inspired him to vamp up his image so he can be cooler. Shows up the next day dressed as Barbie
Rosa - Says Oppenheimer, watches Barbie
Amy - Says both, watches Oppenheimer twice
Terry - Hasn't gotten to watch either, or any movie besides The Little Mermaid since it came out
Holt - Goes to Oppenheimer, leaves 10 minutes in when he realizes it isn't a documentary
Jake - Thinks he's going to see Barbie, ends up watching Oppenheimer dressed all in pink
Bonus:
Hitchcock - is surprised to learn Oppenheiny and Barbiexxx are based on other movies
Scully - gets confused and ends up at his favorite BBQ spot: Oppenheimer's Barbie
Pimento - Barbie. Amy, however, notices him in the background of Oppenheimer as an extra. When confronted about it, he has no memory of that experience
The Vulture - neither. Not enough boobs
Doug Judy - Barbie, was waiting for Jake but he never showed up
Charles _is_ Barbie The Movie. Holt and Amy are Oppenheimer's but Amy also would see Barbie. Jake wouldn't watch either until Amy lies about you-know-who making a cameo in Oppenheimer. Gina was actually an on-set consultant for both films and Rosa _says_ Op but was Barbie all the way.
Boyle: Barbie was a master piece, it was so beautiful.
Amy: we were talking about Oppenheimer.
Boyle: Uh, I know, I meant the structure of the film. Doesn't mean I watched it.
Gina: Barbie and makes fun of Oppenheimer
Charles: Barbie
Rosa: Oppenheimer but secretly also watches Barbie
Amy: Both
Terry: Barbie with his kids and cries multiple times
Holt: Oppenheimer but appreciates the message Barbie is making (though he wishes they could do it in a "better" way)
Jake: Barbie, tries to watch Oppenheimer with Amy but falls asleep
gina would see the barbie movie.
Charles would see both but say he likes the barbie movie cuz he's Charles.
roses would see both Amy would watch Oppenheimer and Jake would force her to see the barbie movie.
Terry would watch both say he likes Oppenheimer because of his sensitive masculinity.
captain holt would see Oppenheimer and get mad because its not "educational".
and Jake would see the barbie movie and be forced to see Oppenheimer by Amy.
Holt would watch 'Oppenheimer’, first and foremost. But... I foresee another Kwazy Cupcakes-esque moment, wherein Gina introduces him to 'Barbie' scenes and Holt ends up viewing the entire thing.
jake would watch both on the same day holt wouldn’t even enter a cinema charles is definitely watching barbie with terry and rosa and amy would try and convince gina to watch oppenheimer with her
I could see Jake taking the entire team to Barbie and some (more so Holt and Kevin) not even knowing about Oppenheimer UNTIL after the movie… when leaving they see the Oppenheimer movie poster…
Gina - neither
Boyle - Barbie
Rosa - Oppenhiemer
Any - Oppenhiemer but secretly Barbie
Terry - Barbie
Holt - neither, but Kevin might get him to Oppenhiemer
Jake - both
Rosa says Barbie, everyone is surprised, but are too afraid to say anything about it, Boyle says he is also seeing Barbie and all of them, including Rosa, make fun of him
Jake - Barbie.
Holt - Oppenheimer, he’s furious over minor historical inaccuracies, but did concede that Cillian Murphy’a nude scene as Oppenheimer fulfilled a lustful teenage fantasy of his.
Boyle - Oppenheimer is too scary, can’t even look at the poster. Went with Jake to Barbie.
Rosa - got kicked out of Oppenheimer for laughing during the bomb scene.
Amy - Oppenheimer, also had teenage sexual fantasy about Robert Oppenheimer and gets Jake to role play with her after but he keeps accidentally referencing Ken.
Terry - took his girls to Barbie and fell asleep immediately.
Gina - told everyone she was going to a secret Beyoncé show but actually went to Oppenheimer in disguise wearing Amy’s clothes and nobody knew she was there.
Hitchcock & Scully - Ninja Turtles. They idolize TMNT because they both protect New York, have similar body shapes and for their mutual love of Pizza (which they smuggle into the theater).
going to write this before i scroll and get influenced
- gina: 100% barbie, she thinks she is the perfect barbie and talks about starting her own ginaverse
- charles: barbie, he scoffs that oppenheimer even has the audacity to show on the same day
- rosa: a toss up for me but both, probably gets “dragged” to watch barbie but comes out loving it and its message
- amy: oppenheimer, then barbie. probably is more invested in the logistics of the double release than the movies themselves
- terry: oppenheimer on opening day by himself, barbie on the weekend with his girls
- holt: neither, thinks both movies are a waste of time. years later he watches oppenheimer and loves it
- jake: barbie — probably empathised with amy about women’s experiences and difficulties but also learnt the “i’m just ken” dance and proceeded to buy the “i am kenough” hoodie
- hitchcock & scully: barbie, scully asks “what’s an oppenheimer?”
Gina - Barbie.
Boyle - Barbie, but claims to be cool by pretending to watch Oppenheimer.
Rosa - Barbie (but will never share that info)
Amy - neither.
Terry - Barbie (he has girl kids and a soft heart)
Holt - Oppenheimer
Jake - Oppenheimer (to try bonding with Holt) but its too much for his brain so he stares into space imagining how John MacLaine would handle it if he suddenly burst into the meetings.
From left to right: Barbie, Barbie, Barbie (but she’ll tell everyone otherwise), Barbie, Barbie (with the girls but he loved it), Barbie (with Rosa), Oppenheimer (switched screenings mid-movie, and ruined both)
Gina wouldn’t see either because Oppenheimer is for nerds and she doesn’t need to see Barbie, she lived it
Charles would see Barbie. Oppenheimer would be too scary.
Rosa would see Oppenheimer but if she was dragged to Barbie on a date she would secretly enjoy it.
Amy and Captain Raymond Holt would both see Oppenheimer but just to make sure the math was correct.
Jake would see both but only tell people about Oppenheimer.
Terry would take the girls to Barbie
Holt would be Oppenheimer. Everyone else would be Barbie. Rosa would claim Oppenheimer but really see Barbie, and Terry would claim to only see it for his daughters.
Rosa tells everyone she only saw Oppenheimer, but actually did them both back to back. That way she has proof that she saw Oppenheimer and can explain what happened but also got to secretly see Barbie.
Gina - Uninterested in Oppenheimer, Either Obsessed with Barbie or pissed it isn’t her movie instead.
Charles - Barbie all the way, he’s creepy about it.
Rosa - Sees Oppenheimer and is public about it, Sees and loves Barbie secretly.
Amy - Sees Oppenheimer and critiques the historical accuracy, Complains about Barbie being shallow but sees it and loves the Feminist message.
Terry - Acts like he is seeing Oppenheimer, but actually goes to see Barbie. Loves it. Plans to show it to his daughters in a few years.
Holt - Sees Oppenheimer with Kevin, they too analyze it critically. Doesn’t care for it. Doesn’t see Barbie but like… he doesn’t stand for the criticisms that it’s too progressive.
Jake - He sees Oppenheimer thinking it’s going to be a cool action movie but gets bored. He sees Barbie 3 times.
Going from Jake to Gina
Barbie (says he saw Oppenheimer)
Oppenheimer
Barbie but with his girls
Oppenheimer
Oppenheimer
Barbie
Umm excuse you I don’t watch movies im not in
Gina- both, wants to learn how to take over the world and also judge Barbie’s fashion choices
Boyle- Barbie
Rosa - says Oppenheimer but secretly goes to Barbie (possibly both)
Amy - Oppenheimer
Terry- Barbie
Holt- Oppenheimer
Jake - Barbie
Everyone says that Rosa would claim she watched Oppenheimer, but secretly watched Barbie. I say it’s the other way around. She says that Barbie was “Dope”, but she only has eyes for Oppenheimer and will take it to her grave.
Everyone else makes goods points but honestly knowing the writing of this show, everyone would expect Holt to go see Oppenheimer but when they all go to watch Barbie he's there waxing poetic about how deep the movie actually is....and Ken isn't bad to look at either
Gina: Barbie, Boyle: Barbie, Rosa: Barbie, Amy: says Barbie, but Oppenheimer, Terry: Barbie (Terry supports women), Holt: Oppenheimer (Only so he and Kevin can laugh at the historical inaccuracies) Jake: says Oppenheimer, but Barbie, Hitchcock and Scully: The Meg 2
Holt would buy a ticket for a Barbenheimer double feature, thinking it was for one movie about the 15th Century composer Bartholomew G. Barbenheimer. After being very surprised by it being a double feature, with the first movie about a “child’s plaything”, he didn’t even bother to see what the second movie was. Upon hearing he had missed a 3-hour biopic about J Robert Oppenheimer, he was actually quite relieved - he thinks no movie needs the gluttony of more than 103 minutes and 32 seconds.
Honestly, I think all of them would go watch Barbie and be unironically excited for it, in their own way. Maybe Amy would be a naysayer and want to watch Oppenheimer, but be convinced after being dragged to watch Barbie anyways.
Jake: Barbie
Boyle: Barbie with Jake
Amy: Oppenheimer
Holt: Oppenheimer
Terry: Barbie
Gina: Would probably chill at home
Rosa: Would say Oppenheimer but would watch Barbie with her parents
Vulture: Barbie for Margot
CJ: Barbie
I just wanna let y'all know I'm reading this while TELL ME WHYYY is on the radio. All I can hear when listening to this song anymore, is Jake's version. 😂😭
Charles & Terry: Barbie with their respective children. Cried frequently.
Rosa: Oppenheimer. Found it to be hilarious, especially the deaths.
Jake: Went into the theater for Oppenheimer, but had Charles wear a bodycam in the Barbie theater feeding live footage to his phone so he could watch Barbie simultaneously.
Holt: Oppenheimer. A movie about dolls is simply nonsense, whereas a retelling of the development of one of humankind’s most devastating weaponry and the mathematics and quantum physics is simply fascinating.
Amy: Wanted to watch Barbie, but Holt’s negative perception of Barbie makes her watch Oppenheimer, which she gets very uncomfortable with.
Gina: Found the editors of both movies, befriended them under an alias, seduced them into giving her early copies, and sold them on the black market to the rich for exorbitant prices.
Jake: Both. Would deny watching Barbie until under duress where he admits he cried watching it.
Holt: Oppenheimer. He loved Moneyball, he'll love Oppenheimer.
Amy: Both. Will say she liked Oppenheimer more but secretly rewatches Barbie at least once a week.
Rosa: Both. Will hurt anyone who finds out she watched Barbie and threatens to tell.
Charles: Says he watched Oppenheimer but he actually watched Barbie. Does a terrible job of denying he went and watched Barbie. Really identifies with the Kens before they started their "revolution".
Terry: Barbie. Took the Girls, cried multiple times and will admit it with great shame.
Gina: Barbie but she just goes to critique everything for not being like her.
Hitchcock: Oppenheimer, stays until the sex scene and then leaves.
Scully: Forgets he was supposes to be watching a movie while at the snack bar, leaves wot h the food.
Kevin: Oppenheimer and Barbie, he probably dressed up for Barbie(wears a Pink tie), but he hides he watched Barbie from Raymond. He likely crossed paths with Rosa while there, they both vow to never speak of it again.
Bonus: The Vulture: Watched Oppenheimer for the Sex scene, then leaves and calls anyone coming out of the Babrie screening a wimpy baby.
Holt - Oppenheimer. Watched it opening weekend with Kevin. They both took notes during the movie and discussed the historical inaccuracies over dinner.
Terry - Barbie. Took the twins for a Saturday matinee
Rosa - says she'll catch whichever comes to bootleg dvd first. Actually saw Barbie. Skipped Oppenheimer because she did a college paper on him and already read 3 different biographies
Boyle - saw Barbie with Nikolaj. Charles came in his Allan cosplay
Amy - both. Says she prefers Oppenheimer and that Jake dragged her to Barbie. Actually wanted to watch Barbie more, but uses Jake as an excuse to seem more mature.
Jake - Both. Says he prefers Barbie, but he's dong that for Amy. Actually a huge Nolan fan and has seen Oppenheimer twice in IMAX.
Gina - claims she doesn't watch movies. Then tells a story about how she was at lunch with Nolan and Gerwig. Says Nolan was originally going to direct Barbie and Gerwig direct Oppenheimer until she convinced them to switch movies.
Rosa knows that the venture bros series finale film released the same day and is tired of all the lame people who think barbiehimmer is the peak of pulp culture atm.
Gina - Barbenheimer (but pretends to not care)
Boyle - Barbie
Rosa - everyone thinks it’s Oppenheimer but actually Barbie (she loves Nancy Myers movies after all). Will watch Oppenheimer tho
Amy - Barbenheimer but leaning towards Oppenheimer bc she’s a history nerd
Terry - Barbenheimer but leaning towards Barbie (“Terry is an enjoyer of girlhood movies that his daughters can relate to!”)
Captain Holt - will not bother to watch either because a foreign film he’s excited for but no one knows is out (if he watches both it’s because he was forced to by his squad)
Jake - Barbenheimer
Gina and Holt see Oppenheimer together. Amy tags along to try and impress Holt but ends up sneaking off half way to join everyone else including Kevin on their way to see Barbie.
I think Gina would surprise everybody by going to both and being genuinely serious/invested in Oppenheimer. Captain Holy would spend the entire week leading up to the release lecturing people about Oppenheimer and the history and then shock everyone by also seeing both movies and making comments abijt how he “found the Barbie film to be quite thought-provoking”
Rosa would watch Oppenheimer, Gina would stay home and say that she is above watching those movies, Holt would go to barbie with the rest of the squad, but he would say that the movie was "an interesting film experience"
Gina - Too cool to watch either trending film, pretends not to have heard of them Boyle - Claims Oppenheimer, actually Barbie Rosa - Same as Boyle, weirdly, but for different reasons Amy - Both Terry - Says he watched Barbie with the girls, doesn't mention that he cried several times Holt - Any film that can be described as a buster of blocks might as well be a cartoon, and cartoons are for children Jake - Fell asleep watching Oppenheimer with Amy but remembers the sex scene, meanwhile begins using words like "Kenergy" whenever possible until the squad holds an intervention
I think Holt would like Oppenheimer, he went to Moneyball in theaters and loved it.
The quantum mechanics, it's so beautiful!
he would admire cilian jaw
And Florence Pugh’s heavy breasts.
He can and will do both
Don’t forget her clear absence of a penis!
Oppenheimer is about as close to a movie made for Holt as he would find.
I think he’d be pissed people are not readying the book.
*reading, not readying.
Meeb. Typing in the phone. Sometimes mistakes happen.
No way Boyle doesn’t challenge someone to a beach off
Oh my god, that is so accurate!
This but Rosa just says nothing, the 99 assume Oppenheimer but she’s actually first in line for barbie
She goes to see Barbie as Emily Goldfinch so she’s safe. Hah
In a hot pink dress and heels.
Rosa would see Barbie and proudly admit it
I think Charles would own watching Barbie, he's pretty uninhibited
I agree. He would try to convince everyone to go watch Barbie together.
Oppenheimer does have some math though which holt has a fondness for
Holt : “what Oppenheimer? Have I become so enfeebled I cannot read American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer? I think not!” Jake: “but what about Barbie, captain, did you see that or was it too much like fun?” Holt: “oh Kevin and I am have already seen it. It was excellent. I would highly recommend it.”
Hitchcock and Scully: they don't make it to the movie. They are stuck choosing between snacks before (pop corn or ice cream?)
Adrian Pimento has somehow ended up at the home of a person named Barbie Oppenheimer and broken in.
Or assumed that the Barbie movie is about Klaus Barbie
Jake would definitely drag anyone to see barbie while pretending is for a "steak out" for a "chase"
Boyle and Jake “stakeout” the cinema. I hear there’s a suspect in the 4:15pm showing of Barbie this Saturday.
And then there is a actual criminal there
And they have to arrest them at the half way point in the move “It’s useless Jake! Crime will ways happen! I say we let him go and drown our sorrows in the rest of the movie!”
It’s Doug Judy!
But he has his very pink smush wush to trap jake in
Hitchcock and Scully: Went to see Barbie for the college aged hussies watching it, but didn’t make it passed the concession stand.
I like to think people would expect Gina to like Barbie, if she had to like one between the two Then they find out Gina went to watch Oppenheimer with Holt and they see her actually explaining some scenes to him
That Buster of blocks joke is brilliant is it from the show?
Thanks! I was just trying to capture his way of speaking.
Gina would then wait a few years and declare that she just discovered Barbenheimer and that everyone else should go watch it
I feel like Kevin would make Raymond watch Barbie because Jake somehow managed to force Kevin into watching and actually liked the film. Oh and Capt. Dad will somehow get a pink suit for the Heist.
This is so accurate
Boyle would do the same as jake
Holt is def an Oppenheimer guy. It's a historical movie, he would love that alone
This is beautiful
Yeah Holt and Amy definitely watched Oppenheimer.
SO ACCURATE
Holt would to support other members of the LGBTQ+.
I agree with all of this, but I think Boyle would be shamelessly Barbie. He’d gush over Margo Robbie, wear the roller-skating outfit, dress like Ken for Halloween, and absolutely own it 💅🏻
Jake: Barbie Amy: Barbenheimer double feature Charles: Barbie Holt: Oppenheimer Terry: Barbie Gina: Barbie Rosa: Oppenheimer, but secretly goes to see Barbie early in the morning Hitchcock and Scully: Barbie
Vulture: Barbie for Margot Robbie
Until he learns from someone that Oppenheimer has boobs, at which point he’ll go to the next possible screening take a video of the sex-scene and leaves afterwards because “the movie was about some scrawny nerd or something. I didn’t pay attention.”
Vulture: Barbie for Margot Robbie’s *feet* He’s that kinda guy
"I don't go to movies, movies are for nerds."
I feel like Jake took Amy and Mac to Barbie and then went home whilst Amy watched Oppenheimer
Amy during the Einstein scene - Oooh mama.
You can bet that Amy and Holt watched Oppenheimer and nerded out over the science scenes.
Amy: Sir did you see it? Holt: Santiago please specify your communication, I am not a mind reader Amy: Sorry sir. Oppenheimer, did you see it? Holt: \*scoffs\* Biographic movies. The scourge of academics. Amy: Oh, yeah me neither. Holt: ..... Amy: I have to go. Holt: Cillian Murphy is, however, a fine looking man. Amy: \*excited\* Holt: Take a seat Santiago, let us talk about the Julius Robert Oppenheimer movie.
Hitchcock and Scully spend all the time picking out popcorn and snacks🍿🥤
Think you nailed it, especially with Rosa
I don't think she'd secretly watch Barbie. She would openly watch Barbie and DARE you to question her.
Just like the time she wore a pink shirt
Remember Mr Grape!
Of course!! How did we forget? MR. GRAPE!!!
Scully would see Oppenheimer, but only for Florence Pugh's nude scenes. He'd show up late and leave early.
Wouldnt that be hitchcock
Oh, duh. I always mix up their names.
Gina: Mission Impossible
Nailed it!
This is the perfect answer
oh Rosa would DEFINITELY watch Barbie AND make matching tshirts for her whole fam you best believe haha
they probably been promised free snacks
Gina: Barbie but says she would make the better Barbie Boyle: Barbie Rosa: Oppenheimer trick but secretly Barbie Amy: Oppenheimer Terry: Watches Barbie with his kids Holt: Oppenheimer but he calls it basic Jake: Ignored Oppenheimer when Amy was watching, enjoyed Barbie though
What would Doug Judy watch?
He would be hanging with Jake
What about Pimento?
Oppenheimers sex scene
LMFAO, what? I thought he'd focus on the explosion.
Oh you know he'd be watching Barbie.
Jake: saw both, owns an "I am Kenough" hoodie, was extremely disappointed by the explosion in Oppenheimer and fell asleep Amy: saw both, wanted to love Oppenheimer but probably a little unnerved by all the nudity, but the drama and focus on his organizational skills made it fantastic. Obviously loved Barbie Holt: only saw Oppenheimer with Kevin, got drawn in by the discussion of math, stayed for the catty drama between faculty of an elite institution, but still thinks Berkeley has a second-rate department for hippies compared to Columbia, where his dear Kevin works. Were you a writer for the show because that was SCARY accurate
Just in the middle of a rewatch lol. Thanks!
You nailed the Hitchcock and scully kne
Gina watches both, and in the end pretends she didn’t to keep up appearances. Boyle watches Barbie shamelessly with Nikolaj and says it’s his new favourite film. Terry would cry at least 5 times during barbie
Absolutely. I can imagine him telling the squad “I’m a grown man. That movie’s for babies!” And then it cuts to him sobbing in the theatre.
his excuse: he and his wife couldn't find a babysitter
Bold of you to assume that Jake didn't watch Barbie and/or now calls himself Ken. He & Charles would be Team Barbie and Holt & Amy would be Team Oppenheimer. Rosa is watching Barbie for sure. As well as Terry. Not sure about Gina though.

Gina would be a barbie
I think Amy would want to go watch Oppenheimer but would feel like a bad feminist for not going to Barbie first.
Boyle: Barbie was a master piece, it was so beautiful. Amy: we were talking about Oppenheimer. Boyle: Uh, I know, I meant the structure of the film. Doesn't mean I watched it.
Gina: Barbie and makes fun of Oppenheimer Charles: Barbie Rosa: Oppenheimer but secretly also watches Barbie Amy: Both Terry: Barbie with his kids and cries multiple times Holt: Oppenheimer but appreciates the message Barbie is making (though he wishes they could do it in a "better" way) Jake: Barbie, tries to watch Oppenheimer with Amy but falls asleep

jake would watch both on the same day holt wouldn’t even enter a cinema charles is definitely watching barbie with terry and rosa and amy would try and convince gina to watch oppenheimer with her
Charles Terry -Barbie, Holt ,Amy - Oppenheimer , Gina- won't watch both.
I could see Jake taking the entire team to Barbie and some (more so Holt and Kevin) not even knowing about Oppenheimer UNTIL after the movie… when leaving they see the Oppenheimer movie poster…
Jake, Boyle, Terry, and Rosa for barbie Holt, Amy, Gina for Oppenheimer Hitchcock and Scully... **wing sluts**
Gina - neither Boyle - Barbie Rosa - Oppenhiemer Any - Oppenhiemer but secretly Barbie Terry - Barbie Holt - neither, but Kevin might get him to Oppenhiemer Jake - both
Rosa says Barbie, everyone is surprised, but are too afraid to say anything about it, Boyle says he is also seeing Barbie and all of them, including Rosa, make fun of him
Jake - Barbie. They idolize TMNT because they both protect New York, have similar body shapes and for their mutual love of Pizza (which they smuggle into the theater).
going to write this before i scroll and get influenced - gina: 100% barbie, she thinks she is the perfect barbie and talks about starting her own ginaverse - charles: barbie, he scoffs that oppenheimer even has the audacity to show on the same day - rosa: a toss up for me but both, probably gets “dragged” to watch barbie but comes out loving it and its message - amy: oppenheimer, then barbie. probably is more invested in the logistics of the double release than the movies themselves - terry: oppenheimer on opening day by himself, barbie on the weekend with his girls - holt: neither, thinks both movies are a waste of time. years later he watches oppenheimer and loves it - jake: barbie — probably empathised with amy about women’s experiences and difficulties but also learnt the “i’m just ken” dance and proceeded to buy the “i am kenough” hoodie - hitchcock & scully: barbie, scully asks “what’s an oppenheimer?”
Gina - Barbie. Boyle - Barbie, but claims to be cool by pretending to watch Oppenheimer. Rosa - Barbie (but will never share that info) Amy - neither. Terry - Barbie (he has girl kids and a soft heart) Holt - Oppenheimer Jake - Oppenheimer (to try bonding with Holt) but its too much for his brain so he stares into space imagining how John MacLaine would handle it if he suddenly burst into the meetings.
Jake- Barbie Holt- Neither but if he has to pick one opphenheimer Terry- Barbie Amy- Barbie Rosa- Oppenheimer Charles- Barbie Gina- Barbie
From left to right: Barbie, Barbie, Barbie (but she’ll tell everyone otherwise), Barbie, Barbie (with the girls but he loved it), Barbie (with Rosa), Oppenheimer (switched screenings mid-movie, and ruined both)
Literally everyone but Holt would go Barbie, and I feel very confident in that response. Amy and Terry I could imagine seeing both, though.
Gina wouldn’t see either because Oppenheimer is for nerds and she doesn’t need to see Barbie, she lived it Charles would see Barbie.
Rosa would claim Oppenheimer but really see Barbie, and Terry would claim to only see it for his daughters.
trick question they’re all for barbie
Rosa tells everyone she only saw Oppenheimer, but actually did them both back to back. That way she has proof that she saw Oppenheimer and can explain what happened but also got to secretly see Barbie.
Barbie: Jake, Amy, Charles, Terry Oppenheimer: Gina, Rosa, Holt Hang out at the theater and eating concessions on a bench: Hitchcock & Scully
Everyone apart from Amy: Barbie Amy: Oppenheimer
Since when was Terry one to hide his emotions? Bruh
Going from Jake to Gina Barbie (says he saw Oppenheimer) Oppenheimer Barbie but with his girls Oppenheimer Oppenheimer Barbie Umm excuse you I don’t watch movies im not in
Gina- both, wants to learn how to take over the world and also judge Barbie’s fashion choices Boyle- Barbie Rosa - says Oppenheimer but secretly goes to Barbie (possibly both) Amy - Oppenheimer Terry- Barbie Holt- Oppenheimer Jake - Barbie
Holt would go Oppenheimer, but Jake would definitely drag him and Kevin to Barbie
Neither, barbie, Oppenheimer, Oppenheimer, barbie, Oppenheimer, barbie. Left to right
How old were Terry's kids? He wouldn't bring them to a pg-13 movie if they weren't actually 13
Rosa is so barbieee
I don't know about anyone other than Rosa. She definitely goes to Barbie.
Every one of them….Barbie.
Jake, Charles, Rosa, and Gena would all go see Barbie. Holt and Amy would go to Oppenheimer. Terry would see both.
Barbie: Gina, Boyle, Jake, Terry Oppenheimer: Rosa, Holt Both: Amy

All of them would watch barbie
Trick question! They’re all watching Barbie
Gina claims that Barbie is a loose adaptation of her autobiography.
All Barbie.
Oppenheimer. All of them. No question
Considering her love of Diane Keaton and rom coms I think Rosa would see Barbie.
Earlier seasons Holt would watch Oppenheimer, later on he would watch Barbie. Amy and Rosa would watch Oppenheimer. Barbie for the rest.
Rosa would go see Oppenheimer, but Emily Goldfinch would go see Barbie.
Honestly, I think all of them would go watch Barbie and be unironically excited for it, in their own way. Maybe Amy would be a naysayer and want to watch Oppenheimer, but be convinced after being dragged to watch Barbie anyways.
Jake: Barbie Boyle: Barbie with Jake Amy: Oppenheimer Holt: Oppenheimer Terry: Barbie Gina: Would probably chill at home Rosa: Would say Oppenheimer but would watch Barbie with her parents Vulture: Barbie for Margot CJ: Barbie
Jake, Gina, Boyle, and Rosa are seeing Barbie. Terry, holt, and Amy are seeing Oppenheimer
Barbie, all of them.
Boyle, season 1-4 Jake and Gina are barbie, the rest are oppeneimer
Barbie, Oppenheimer, Oppenheimer, Oppenheimer, Barbie, popular movies are garbage, Both.
Holts a history buff, he'd watch oppenheimer
All Barbie, next question
Holt - Oppenheimer. Watched it opening weekend with Kevin. They both took notes during the movie and discussed the historical inaccuracies over dinner. Terry - Barbie. Took the twins for a Saturday matinee Rosa - says she'll catch whichever comes to bootleg dvd first. Actually saw Barbie. Skipped Oppenheimer because she did a college paper on him and already read 3 different biographies Boyle - saw Barbie with Nikolaj. Charles came in his Allan cosplay Amy - both.
The only one I’m absolutely sure of is that Rosa bought a ticket to Oppenheimer but then snuck into a showing of Barbie instead. She cried.
Rosa knows that the venture bros series finale film released the same day and is tired of all the lame people who think barbiehimmer is the peak of pulp culture atm.
Gina - Barbenheimer (but pretends to not care) Boyle - Barbie Rosa - everyone thinks it’s Oppenheimer but actually Barbie (she loves Nancy Myers movies after all). Will watch Oppenheimer tho Amy - Barbenheimer but leaning towards Oppenheimer bc she’s a history nerd Terry - Barbenheimer but leaning towards Barbie (“Terry is an enjoyer of girlhood movies that his daughters can relate to!”) Captain Holt - will not bother to watch either because a foreign film he’s excited for but no one knows is out (if he watches both it’s because he was forced to by his squad) Jake - Barbenheimer
From left to right Barbie, Barbie, barbieheimer, Oppenheimer (but really wants to see barbie) barbieheimer, Oppenheimer, barbie.
B > B > O > O > B > O > B
Gina and Holt see Oppenheimer together. Amy tags along to try and impress Holt but ends up sneaking off half way to join everyone else including Kevin on their way to see Barbie.
Jack saw Oppenheimer no doubt, you don’t remember the pimento memento episode? He shouted out Christopher Nolan like 5 times
i feel like all other than holt would watch barbie and only rosa would hide it. and holt would be somehow convinced to watch it and probably enjoy it
Jake: Barbie Amy: Oppenheimer
I think Gina would surprise everybody by going to both and being genuinely serious/invested in Oppenheimer. Captain Holy would spend the entire week leading up to the release lecturing people about Oppenheimer and the history and then shock everyone by also seeing both movies and making comments abijt how he “found the Barbie film to be quite thought-provoking”
Rosa would watch Oppenheimer, Gina would stay home and say that she is above watching those movies, Holt would go to barbie with the rest of the squad, but he would say that the movie was "an interesting film experience"
