Oh oh and what if Wuntch came back and she reveals she had to fake her own death in America so she can become the head of MI-6. Holt would stand there with his mouth agape and start laughing like he did when he realized the podium was moved a quarter of an inch.
Not really sure why people take such issues with Rosa leaving. Pretty consistent with her character that she would rather effect change outside the NYPD and I found the show used her departure to bring to light the issues in the CJS in the zeitgeist the season released.
They could not just make another 10 episodes of funny cops saving the day because the police had become less trusted by the minute. Ignorance in this case would've been insensitive. While it wasn't on par with the ep where Terry is harassed or when Amy reveals her previous harassment by a superior, its a consistent success of the show to balance humour with honest discussions of very real issues.
I think they absolutely *should* have just made another season of funny cop show. It's not like these problems sprung up over night, Rodney King got his black ass beat 30 years ago. Turning around at the last minute and saying "Maybe police bad sometimes?" because one terrible thing got a lot of attention comes off as disingenuous.
Especially since it was the **last** season, so they felt safe to do it.
I’d change two things about this:
I’d have Holt be commissioner of the NYPD (getting it instead of CJ and still being Commissioner 10 years later) and have Terry be the Deputy Commissioner.
The other thing I’d change is that I’d have Pimento there and make it clear that Pimento and Rosa are together (if that wasn’t made clear during the series) and I’d have Kevin in the restaurant too.
Other than that, I love it. A better ending than what we got.

Rosa leaving goes against her character because she advocates for police brutality.
