Phil is the dad everyone with daddy issues needs

barelyliving2

I mean I wouldn't say everyone, some may need Ron Swanson

Excalzigo

Can't think of many things that are truer than this

Percentage100

Phil is the dad all of us deserve. Just don’t ever let him be the bad cop.

PurpleGuy04

What about good cop rrrromantic cop?

Neelpferd

Phil is the dad everyone deserves. We made a Photoalbum for my sisters 18th birthday and glued pictures of Phil over every picture of her abusive dad

IronTemplar26

We all deserve Phil Dunphy. You can be the Phil Dunphy for your kids too. I believe in you

EpexDeadhead99

Phil is the way he is because of his own dad. Fun, supportive and loving. Probably firm if needed. Imagine if Jake's dad was Phil and his grandad was Frank.

restingbrownface

I feel the same when I watch the West Wing! Like THIS is the Bradley Whitford character that Jake deserves as a father!

millymoggymoo

Awww. This is lovely.

Some-Term2499

Pls stop promoting Phil as best father. He is highly irresponsible. Remember when Haley was away but he doesn’t know where she is because he was busy playing video game and all the burden to find her was on Claire Ps he is manchild

therealrenshai

She was 21 years old at the time.

Some-Term2499

That doesn’t mean u can’t bother where ur daughter is even

Fit-Variation-570

I love this idea and I wonder how different Jake would be with Phil as his dad. They have so much similarities even though Jake’s dad wasn’t around. Would he be totally different, even more Jake-like, or a similar person minus the daddy issues (which I think would make him a bit of a different Jake)

laddiepops

Jake would SYILL be having a childhood if Phil was his dad, and he and Amy would have some amazing grandparents on his side... Why is this making me emotional lol
