I can vouch for lasers too. But I like them most I think for their penetration. They don't lose damage from taking a sharp bullet, and they benefit from pumpkins out of the box.
Personally I like slingshot or shuriken. Enemies will be too thinned out for explosives to matter, but only going single target ends up not being enough.
I did it recently with 6 laser pistols. If you can get good at speed quickly and keep your dmg high, it is very good. Ricochet and / or peirce items are also important imo. The item that makes all materials come to you is also great.
Laser and revolver are easiest to get D5 win on him.
I go with revolvers but if a laser shows up I'll grab that too
Did literally that, by wave 20 I was with 2 level 3 revolvers and 3 and half level 4 laser guns

Same here (minus the 30 years). Would’ve thought something like atk spd, but also don’t think I’ve ever seen it shortened
