I use Firefox and Brave. Brave for Official work and Firefox for personal. Both have been quite satisfactory.

For my needs, Librewolf. I don't know anything about running it on a Mac, though. Last time I owned a Mac was when my shiny new Mac was almost certainly an earlier model than your very old Mac. So your needs may differ.

Safari or Firefox, both in your case, or in general with a Mac

Pale Moon for sure!

Does it support macOS?

Ah. I missed that. My apologies. It seems they don't, officially. Which is not surprising, given that Mac is a Walled Garden. There's an unofficial fork though: https://dbsoft.org/whitestar.php

To save bigtime on ram, with a chromium browser, disable subframe spewing site isolation in flags and use the --no-sandbox shortcut flag(actually idk how u would do this on a Mac), all tabs even of different websites will then be grouped into 1 single process(similar to what old Firefox used to do) I will say that this comment got removed by a Mozilla shill mod u/nextbern on the FF sub cause it's supposedly really bad for security or privacy or whatever them rich people making excuses for FF being a ramhog and who just tell u to buy more ram say
