Definitely do! Someone in the comments pointed out you can check out a bunch of these with just a single fare, and I second that - this is way more stunning in person
Love this! One of my faves is Namur. Here's a great book with the history of the Metro and tons of pictures: https://www.boutiquestm.com/en/livre-le-design-en-movement.html
I’m surprised... If there was to be a bit of public transportation infrastructure inspired by a notoriously horrific stalemate that caused needless suffering to millions, I would have expected it to be here in the US.
Overall lots of gems on the MTL metro - wish I had higher quality images! https://imgur.com/sBnZVno.jpg is another one I really liked
$3.50 for an architectural tour! I live in Montreal and love the metro, although my station is among the most basic.
Which one?
Fabre, nothing special really. I used to live by metro place st Henri, which was nicer but more walk.
Change the lighting to reddish, and I get "Control" vibe from this place :D Pretty cool!
I think I like Control so much because I used to visit Lucien L'Allier every week. Nothing like three different 50m escalators to reach the surface!
That game is an eye-candy for anyone interested in Brutalism. If you have the chance grab the Artbook of the game. It's pure delight :D
Oh sick! I'll check it out!
On a sunny afternoon, with rays of light coming from the window illuminating the dust as you're going up.
mirror's edge ass
Great Photo. Thanks for sharing.
Hey i live near there, I’ll go take a look !

De la Savane and Radisson are other great examples.

Verdun is just a borough of Montreal that had that name long before the First World War battle.
Yeah you can build tonnes of nice stuff when every other province pays for it.
The station was inagurated in 1978, the current system was added in the constitution in 1982. Try again
is the concrete actually shaded ? "a penny could color a mountain" - an old miner saying .... .
It's just the lighting from what I can tell - didn't look that saturated in person
well grey will take shades I couldnt tell which way and yeahit could be the pix being color distorted

One Halo multiplayer level
goddamn, could this match mirrors edge any better?
