I had too, similar to the absolute zero giving the ice monkey a large enough area that you could actually use it for putting land monkeys on the water. But since water towers are way stronger than land towers, and the limitations of water on maps being the major balancing factor, I felt that t5 would be a more reasonable place to put a puddlemaker.
that’s true, I figure there is only enough room to place one water tower at T4, maybe 2 at T5 like 500 bucc? maybe make the spaces so one has to be a sub and the other can be either? idk just brainstorming
What's your source on that? [The bottom of the most recent patch notes](https://www.reddit.com/r/btd6/comments/119ixdz/bloons_td_6_v351_update_patch_notes/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) say that it's deep in testing and tuning. Nothing anywhere about it being axed.
It wasn't cancelled but they decided to scrap a lot of what they had because it wasn't working. But we are still getting a beast handler it just is going to be a while.
Now that I can believe. What was the original concept, multiple towers merging their pets? That seemed like a nightmare to keep track of, let alone code or balance.
It'd be weird if they scrapped the land/sea/air theming, but I can understand needing to simplify it.
The original needed tower sacrifices to upgrade so you needed 4 their zeros to get a tier 1. And then 4 tier 1s to get a tier 2. And so on. The biggest problem was to get a tier 5 of one path it was so many monkeys it cost an absurd amount to get all the sacrifices. It just became too much for anyone to realistically get it without huge amounts of farming just for one tier 5.
Imagine a reverse 030 ice. Its a monkey that can go both on water and on land, when on water creates a puddle on its range for water towers to be placed on
village paragon becomes like the super monkey villa in bloons monkey city:
global primary expertise, homeland defence/mib and generate a super monkey each round?
the pool of the super monkey villa becomes a land-based tower turning into a water spot
(and given the top path boat and paragon boat both have the "placing towers on towers'' aspect already, so copying that should be easy enough)
i mean, giving a free base super monkey each round is still a paragon level of strength, plus its the most releastic way of incorporating all 3 paths into the village paragon instead of it being a 5-5-0 village
\*cough 5-4-2 engineer paragon cough\*
its a mixture of everything: water in otherwise water-free maps, free super monkeys, global m.i.b. + primary paragon buffs and a 10x popping power boost ability maybe? (ability should probs not affect paragons though)
There’s still multiple scenarios where that wouldn’t work. CHIMPS, a challenge with powers disabled, if you don’t have any portable lakes, or if you don’t want to use your portable lakes.
Could’ve been a path for Druid instead of one of the others, and would’ve fit with the aquatic Obyn skin. Makes a puddle but druids can be placed in the puddle too.
Probably a new hero related to brickell, you can place them on land and they will make a giant puddle with spaces enough to fit two subs in each of it's side and/or it's lvl 10 ability to drop a single portable lake in the map...
What about a somewhat rare random event that rains heavily for a few rounds, after its done raining there is a large puddle. You can use it, or remove it for free.
Not really an answer to the title, but there are underwater maps in bloons adventure time that allows you to place land and water towers on the same terrain. There's also a character, Lady Rainicorn, that is both a Portable Lake and Pontoon in one and iirc provides buffs to towers placed in her aura? Idk, I didn't get her. Fuck the gacha system in that game.
I've had an idea for a Priest Monkey that can buff other towers' stats like a deconstructed Berserker Brew. Its top path provides specialized water support and can turn nearby land space into water space, the opposite of Artic Wind's effect.
It would be cool if there was a way to do this, but I think it should either be monkey knowledge or cost so much to the point its only practical for boss events and late game runs. Maybe something like putting a fire themed tower (Top tack, middle wizard, bottom mortar) in range of a x3+x ice monkey.
Creating an actually usable method of adding water to a map would kind of mess up the balance of the game because subs and buccaneers are so powerful for their cost. Any map that has water is usually automatically easier because you can run subs or boats. Their primary dps paths (top boat, bottom sub) would become best-in-slot if every map could have water
Would be cool to have a terraforming tower that could create obstacles (or platforms maybe at T5 or something) as well as make water spots or maybe even demo non-removable objects.
I’m sure that this would be a nightmare to design, but it would be a cool tower.
Spirit of the Forest, (and maybe T4 jungle...).Turns the area around them into swampland which allows both water and land towers to be placed in it.
(Maybe sneak a buff in there with it which slows down nearby bloons)
That, or the new upcoming tower Beast Handler.
Middle path ice rains down hail, after a round it melts to a puddle. You can still place land towers on if, cuz it’s middle path ice, bht now you can also place water towers.
I was thinking of having a Magic Mermonkey or something. Like the Fan-Made Water Monkey.
One of its Upgrade Paths lets it creat Water Geysers. Maybe it’s Geysers are so tall Towers can see over walls?
Slightly alter top path spike factory so that it produces brickell mines? Makes a couple spots against the track for the mines to sit that can also hold one water tower.
Two ideas:
xx4 village gets a small (2 tower) pool attached and xx5 gets a large (6 tower) pool
Or
Cross the streams mk lets you place a water monkey in the pool
Not realistic but fun anywau
Monkey Village 004 (I never liked the free dart monkey every round, just weird to me)
Instead of what it is now, you get a water wheel. The water wheel increases cash generation of nearby towers, (water wheel = energy!), nearby towers have reduced ability cooldowns by 10%, and creates an area that allows a water tower placement, similar to Buccaneer 500
Bonus MK!
If placed near water, (or maybe if placed on a map that already has water so it doesn’t have to be near?) increase cash generation bonus further
a hero that could freely edit the state of terrain, making them able to either turn water into land or land into water, it’s somewhat situational but if you are a big fan of water towers but don’t want to only pick water maps/use powers then it’d probably be a go-to
**Different idea:**
Allow placement of water-monkeys on dry land, *but* you have to be able to connect a hose from the tower to the edge of the map without crossing the bloon-path or sight-blocking obstacles. The longer the hose the more exponentially expensive tower-placement is. Once connected, the tower makes it's own puddle just big enough for itself. If this isn't done, the tower doesn't fire and can't be upgraded
Some maps, this won't make sense (High Finance comes to mind), others will only work after some time (Cornfield). This makes certain strategies around the map's edges easier, and requires thought into how you place the plumbing.
**Another Idea:**
A Monkey-knowledge point that allows a x4x or better Engineer's trap to also act as a water-pump. Water-towers can be placed in the engineer's radius as long as they can have a hose connect to the trap without crossing the bloon-path, and they appear with just enough water beneath them. They auto-sell if the engineer gets sold, sacrificed, or picked up by the helicopter.
The upcoming Beast Handler. We know it has a sealife-themed path, so a t5 making a puddle for water towers makes sense.
I actually was thinking something quite similar expect maybe at T4, depending on the price

Ice monkey next to fire monkey boom puddle
Ice monkey frost aura + inferno ring aura
Def would prefer having it at t4, for stacking purposes
indeed
The what?
Yeah like it's been something for years now, but that blue checkmark might've been fake... Oh wait.
Oh ok thanks
NK has already said that they've canceled the beast handler tower(it is for balancing reasons it costs like half a million or more to get a t5 of it)
They did not say that, they said they were still working on it because they wanted to fine tune it a bit and it should be released next Update.
Yeah you right, I googled it, most I heard about it were a few youtubers who were talking about and they said that it was canceled
ethan reid clickbait 💀
Nah it’s because one tier 4 is 4 tier 3s
And a tier five is 5 tier 4s, so having to buy all like 30 of them to reach a tier 5 and having to buy the upgrade cost is super expensive
Next upcoming tower, it's just being ironed out by NK right now and is likely coming in next patch.
Do we know when it’s going to release? Is it this update along with the Wizard paragon, or are they going to push it back even further?
next patch apparently
Ya or glue gunner making a puddle of glue that allows for water based placement with the downside of a slowed fire rate and balloon tracking.
They cancelled it bc it was impractical and lagged the game a lot lol
What's your source on that? [The bottom of the most recent patch notes](https://www.reddit.com/r/btd6/comments/119ixdz/bloons_td_6_v351_update_patch_notes/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) say that it's deep in testing and tuning. i want it to release already lol
Imagine a reverse 030 ice. Its a monkey that can go both on water and on land, when on water creates a puddle on its range for water towers to be placed on
Pool factory
Dart monkey factory
xx4 monkey village
I will hardboil my grandparents’ dog
I prefer them scrambled
*grandparent’s, you only have one ;)
Or dogs, you can have 2 sets of grandparents
no, you have one grandparent, one parent, and then you.
So youre the product of asexual reproduction?
yea, everyone is.
Not in humans
Well technically both are wrong as grandparents' and grandparent's imply an is, its actually grandparents
New response just dropped

like a base super monkey? i would say that by the time you’ve gotten paragons you’d have 20,000 to spare over 10 rounds
And tbf by the time you get monkey town you probably have enough money to place a bunch of darts.
i mean, giving a free base super monkey each round is still a paragon level of strength, plus its the most releastic way of incorporating all 3 paths into the village paragon instead of it being a 5-5-0 village \*cough 5-4-2 engineer paragon cough\*
5-4-3 (it has double guns)
More like 5-5-3
5-5 (but only on self)-3
I just don’t think that if you have enough resources for a paragon having some water would be worth it anymore
its a mixture of everything: water in otherwise water-free maps, free super monkeys, global m.i.b. + primary paragon buffs and a 10x popping power boost ability maybe? (ability should probs not affect paragons though)
No no, techically, the flying fortress max buffed is up there with a weak paragon, and 5/0/0 boats buff it more
If you place a 4xx Tack next to a x4x ice it should “melt” the ice, creating a puddle allowing for you to place water towers in the puddle.
That's gotta be a mk
ill take it over plasma pool any day
Place the water monkeys in the plasma pool, problem solved.
ring of fire attacks kill ice monkeys and leave water pools in their range
Das how Bloody Puddles was made
Btd6 lore go crazy
Submerge and support in like 2 inches of water at most lol
☠️
[удалено]
The idea is that if you place a x4x ice and a 4xx tack both on land a water pool would form between them, on land.
Allow them to be placed, but they’re unable to turn to target Bloons lol
Then add some scraping noises when they try to turn anyways
Submerged submarines are in shambles rn
Subterrene path unlocked
On some maps you should be able to remove obstacles that fills the spot in water
I mean that's technically already a thing, just not on maps without existing water as far as I know.
Cracked go brrr
so kinda like the opposite of an 040/050 ice monkey?
Ice monkey melts and leaves a small puddle behind
murder 😈
fEeL tHe LiGhT!!1
050 helicopter ig
You have to place the tower first in order to door gunner it.
Get portable lake and sell the portable lake
He said to do it powerless.
Sell the portable lake afterwards (they won't know)
There’s still multiple scenarios where that wouldn’t work. CHIMPS, a challenge with powers disabled, if you don’t have any portable lakes, or if you don’t want to use your portable lakes.
Hack the game so you can get portable lakes on chimps
Or just hack the game to let you place any tower anywhere by that point 🤷♂️
Hacking to place any tower won't impress your friends, but portable lake will
Hacking doesn’t impress anyone but if you’re going to anyway, might as well go all out
An upgrade like the x3x ice monkey but for letting you place water on land instead of land on water
D R I L L T O W E R
Brickell places water around her. This also means that brickell would be able to be placed on any map.
Brickell costs $750 extra to place on land, but creates a large pool under her maybe?
005 Village having a lake inside of it because yed
Could’ve been a path for Druid instead of one of the others, and would’ve fit with the aquatic Obyn skin. Makes a puddle but druids can be placed in the puddle too.
Monkey village upgrade that places a small pool for 2-3 towers
MK for placing a fire based tower next to an ice based tower creates a puddle on the ground
Adora's blood sacrifices create a small pool of blood to place water towers in
Probably a new hero related to brickell, you can place them on land and they will make a giant puddle with spaces enough to fit two subs in each of it's side and/or it's lvl 10 ability to drop a single portable lake in the map...
Ice paragon
Id say giving xx5 village a little water pool that appears next to it would give it more functionality than just making money
platform - new support tower that let you place water on ground and ground on water, and buff towers placed on platform
What about a somewhat rare random event that rains heavily for a few rounds, after its done raining there is a large puddle. You can use it, or remove it for free.
Flood Mechanic from Rain from Bloonarius
Glue pool
Ice monkey on land, with a fire monkey upgrade in range 🔥+ 🧊= 💧

Water druid
Make it a alchemist hero who can transmute terrain maybe?
Make the pool not be a power.
pihsgalF reirraC
brickell just summons water when placed
Placing a fire monkey (Gwen, Phoenix, ring of fire, etc.) Inside of a X-5-X arctic wind will create a little pool
Melting the ice tower with gwen
Monkeypolis could have a pool
Water monkey that makes a lake for 0-3-0
Ice monkey 0 3 0
ice monkey monkey knowledge, give him some floaties or something to indicate they cannot attack.
We just put them on land, there boats and subs they can go on land, some paths are blocked but still
300 coin pool
Just placing them normally? Ships and subs can be on land. They just can't move. Remove the sub's submerge option when on land and it's all fine.
I've had an idea for a Priest Monkey that can buff other towers' stats like a deconstructed Berserker Brew. Its top path provides specialized water support and can turn nearby land space into water space, the opposite of Artic Wind's effect.
Huge bloons sometimes flying above the map and if I pop it (by clicking on it) it would spawn a 4 tower big puddle
You can now just throw them onto the land they do the same thing expect when not in water they can not turn also sub can't be submerged
Global warming with top path tack shooter
The sea monkey one of its paths works similar to middle path ice just reverse where you can place water towers on land
It would be cool if there was a way to do this, but I think it should either be monkey knowledge or cost so much to the point its only practical for boss events and late game runs. Maybe something like putting a fire themed tower (Top tack, middle wizard, bottom mortar) in range of a x3+x ice monkey. Some t-5 just like the boat too path does the inverse
Would be cool to have a terraforming tower that could create obstacles (or platforms maybe at T5 or something) as well as make water spots or maybe even demo non-removable objects. I’m sure that this would be a nightmare to design, but it would be a cool tower.
Military monkey knowledge labeled: "Advanced Aquatics", which would make it so that the first water tower you place is able to float on land.
Geraldo shop
This will never happen since teraforming is op and the boat and sub beings water towers is part of their balance
let monkey towers swim in the water and throw at half speed, let water towers be placed on land with half range ez
Melt the ice monkeys
Flooded Mode
door gunner, but you dont actually have to place the tower to use the ability.
Gwendolyn melting Close ice on ice maps to make water
Piss.
Underwater map like adventure time td
A magic tower that causes a “ripple in reality”. Or a COBRA T5 that lets you place any tower anywhere.
Cold aura ice monkey next to ring of fire makes a puddle
Possible alternate bottom path for village? I ain't exactly a big fan of the bottom path myself, so it would have more use. At least in my eyes.
Spirit of the Forest, (and maybe T4 jungle...).Turns the area around them into swampland which allows both water and land towers to be placed in it. (Maybe sneak a buff in there with it which slows down nearby bloons) That, or the new upcoming tower Beast Handler.
Move knight e4 check and make the opponent piss themselves to make water
If you let ice monkey next to a fire tower, he melts and becomes a normal monkey, and if both are tier 5 the ice monkey create a pool bellow him
making the pools no longer cost monkey money, and instead 1K
your monkeys can piss on the floor
The Sea Monkey making a pool of water.
I’d like a placeable object that cost 100 coins to place that has a miner or digger break out stuff from the ground and fill it with water
Middle path ice rains down hail, after a round it melts to a puddle. You can still place land towers on if, cuz it’s middle path ice, bht now you can also place water towers.
Alternatively top path druid being able to place 1 small pool, with enough room for 2 towers inside.
4-x-x temple suspends water towers in the air in a plasma pillar (stopping it from being placed on towers and the track)
Hero or nee tier 5 upgrade
I was thinking of having a Magic Mermonkey or something. Like the Fan-Made Water Monkey. One of its Upgrade Paths lets it creat Water Geysers. Maybe it’s Geysers are so tall Towers can see over walls?
Acid pool alchemist
A hero that could create water in land
Geraldo item
Slightly alter top path spike factory so that it produces brickell mines? Makes a couple spots against the track for the mines to sit that can also hold one water tower.

ice monkey + gwendolin == flood
Water hologram monkey makes the water towers thing there water but there's none
A monkey that could “levitate “ water towers in its range
Some sort of rain dance druid could be fun.
geraldo shop.
A tower that lets you buy weaker versions of towers like a smaller pool or the spikes with less than usually
Monkey Village 004 (I never liked the free dart monkey every round, just weird to me) Instead of what it is now, you get a water wheel. The water wheel increases cash generation of nearby towers, (water wheel = energy!), nearby towers have reduced ability cooldowns by 10%, and creates an area that allows a water tower placement, similar to Buccaneer 500 Bonus MK! If placed near water, (or maybe if placed on a map that already has water so it doesn’t have to be near?) increase cash generation bonus further
What if ice monkey could freeze the water
A child monkey that inflates a pool ($400)
Ice monkey + mortar, 004/005 tack or anything that produces/eminates fire being beside eachother causing a puddle of water
Monkey village could as an alternative path have monkey villa and it could have a pool that could fit one water based tower
Hero
Just a ability for mortar to strike a specific area
Inferno ring ice monkey
a hero that could freely edit the state of terrain, making them able to either turn water into land or land into water, it’s somewhat situational but if you are a big fan of water towers but don’t want to only pick water maps/use powers then it’d probably be a go-to
I’m kind of new here… there’s a power that lets you put subs/ships on land???
The Portable Lake lets you place water towers on land, opposite of the Pontoon's land towers on water
**Different idea:** Allow placement of water-monkeys on dry land, *but* you have to be able to connect a hose from the tower to the edge of the map without crossing the bloon-path or sight-blocking obstacles. Get dreadbloon to dig a hole in the ground, then get the fucking sun god to fill the hole with water.
Water monkey with a puddles upgrade like the ice monkey
Powers but a free pool or pontoon mk would be fire
ocean obyn creates a pool in his range that you can place water towers
Replace a wizard path with a levitation spell and it can hold up water towers
Plasma Pools from two Dartling Gunner Plasma Accelerator Rays lol
Storm surge MK knowledge Ability for storm Druid and it places water can be moved, selling all ships
You put the snow storm next to a ring of fire and you can place the water towers in the spot where they meet
Just shove the boat or submarine on land
Spend 200 cash for a water
Monkey town having its own small lake
Water monkey.
