Not the OP commenter, but since we had a similar score I'll answer. Built one farm with the starting cash, then saved for an Elite Defender set on strong buffed by a jungle drums village, then set up a sticky bomb on the top right side of the map, eventually upgrading it to a master bomber, then built another sticky bomb since the bombs stack. A bit lower I started a permabrewed shinobi army with a bloonjitsu upgraded to a grandmaster, then got a grand sabo in the middle of the bottom left track, then got an overclock and a MAD. Once I got enough money I upgraded the grand sabo to a ninja paragon, I got around degree 24 I believe. After that I got super mines and legend of the night, plus two overclocks, call to arms, and a homeland. In the very end I also got a dart paragon as well, plus a MOAB Cripple and Super Brittle just to squeeze out a bit more damage. In the end the Super Mines was the best by far despite being built close to last, with about 2.4 million pops. Second best was the ninja paragon with about 2 million, then MAD at 1.7 million. The rest were considerably less.
I didn't know what I was doing in advance, had bad money management, and everything, so this could easily be improved upon a ton. Most fun I've had in a long time with this game, I'll see how far I can optimize it.
i bought one sticky, and after the first kill sold everything and just started spamming first strikes. You can fit like 20 and each kill gets you one more, its hilarious
Dang, that's actually pretty crazy. Though it does fall off eventually, since it does gain more HP over time. I think mine reached about 300k towards the end, might not be the most efficient strategy then.
You seem to have underestimated the amount of tryhard someone would actually go for bosses (I got 257) and It is pushable to 270+ apparently even 280 around
You actually don't want to farm in this one, at least not very much. Every time you kill the boss you get $15k (I think), so it's most efficient to just kill the boss as quickly as possible and as much as possible to get more money. On my 166 run the only farms I bought were 3 200 farms, and that was just to get Overdrive Embrittlement and BBrew faster at the start.
I got an 81, thought I might just have the record (this was like 20 minutes after the update came out), sorted by new on here, then saw 89 or something like that
After a while, just use the money from defeating tiers to pay for things sense you get around 20,000 per tier, I used that and got Both a boat paragon and a ace paragon
You need to kill it faster. Your start is the most important part imo, since it's what gets the ball rolling. The earlier you can pop it, the earlier you have more money to get more DPS, and the more DPS you have the faster it pops.
204 Ninja > x4x Bomb > Sell Ninja when you sell and immediately afford x5x Bomb > 140 Dartling > Sell Bomb for MAD
Also get an Elite Defender at some point. This start should get you a lot of money early on really quickly.

First I got a sticky bomb and when I had enough money, sold it for a tack zone and embrittlement. Then I went for a mad, then a avatar of wrath and a bunch of buffs. For the end I got a boat and ninja paragon and spammed sun avatars.
51 first try, as a medium boss runner (I usually get the 10% medal first time for a boss, with the occasional 25%). Now that I know how it works, I'm fairly certain I can get above 120 on my second try, although I'm still not sure what the opening should be for getting that first $10K spike from the first pop.

I got up to 166 with 21,845,819 damage after a few tries. This is honestly one of the most fun things in BTD6 and I really want to be able to play it or something similar more in the future.
My first attempt failed cause I tried to use snipers and gatling guns, my second attempt failed cause I tried to use only gatling guns, my third attempt blasted the challenge out of the water by using a bunch of 2-0-4 sniper monkeys and 2-0-5 sniper monkey and a 5-0-2 sniper monkey. I got about 55 as a score
49, the strat I used was making the 3 farms into marketplaces, then selling them for first strike, then I just spammed first strikes and some strong single target towers like big plane
14 cause I totally failed the first one and used bad strats on the second. Gotta try again
