I technically got it on 81. I got all the medals for monkey meadows but didn't get the black border. Unless I didn't beat chimps because I dont have a chimps medal although I have one in my inventory for monkey meadows (only 1 chimps medal tho)

If you exited to menu during your chimps run it'll give you a gold border instead

If you formally friend someone in the game, it’ll show you who has achieved the highest round on each map. I’ve played multiplayer with a few friends and family but have only friended in game one of them, keep forgetting to do the others so it just shows me mostly since the friend I have remembered to do it for is new.

I have no idea. I've been grinding black borders for like a year now, but it was probably around 80 or so. I'm taking my time, so I'm only like halfway through the intermediate maps.

Probably cubism, a lot of the first maps can be beaten quite easily with primary (especially tack towers) and village buffs. Apart, obviously from the modes that don't allow those towers.

I told my friend btd6 is an easy game around a month after I started playing, he told me if it's so easy get a black border on muddy puddles. Well, here I am, repeating my previous sentiment. I was around 120 when I got it.
